[Q] HELP Nexus One apps missing!!

hi i recently rooted my phone using the SuperOneClick Method from the unlockr.com. i used nandroid to back up my current ROM, and then proceded to flash a custom ROM. after trying it out the ROM for a few hours i decided to revert back to my original stock ROM. now i am currently back on the stock ROM but everything is WRONG. most of stock apps are missing (browser, text messaging, ect..), the market cannot download apps, basically i can only make/receive calls and get gmail. most of the other apps are gone. i have tried to factory reset the phone, i tried reflashing the HTC FRF83 stock ROM that i was on before and nothing seems to work.
i figured what i did wrong. when the phone was creating the nandroid backup, my SD was running out of space. i dont think the backup was complete and when i flashed the backup the phone is missing key components.
can anybody help me? thanks.
Read Wiki, follow "Unroot / restore your Nexus" guide for FRG83.

Can't flash to stock. Data wipe failed after flashing with odin one click

Hi, everybody. I have a big problem with my Captivate I897. I bought it on ebay and it appears to be bricked. Just AT&T logo loop.
I have tried a lot of stuf - flashing with odin one click, installing different roms with odin, removing all data in recovery mode. Nothing helps.
Messages that have experienced:
After flashing to stock with odin-one-click: Data wipe failed
After installing custom rom (I897UCJI6-OCD-REV02-Low-designgears_1_.exe): Can't mount SDCARD: copy default media content failed
Removing data in recovery mode completes without errors but nothing changes.
This phone is locked to AT&T, maybe this is the trouble.
I can go to Download mode and recovery mode.
Maybe something wrong with internal sd card. Maybe i can do some hard format or something like that.
Could anybody help?
Thanks
Guys, anybody? i'll appreciate any hints. Please.
I would suggest trying to flash to stock with a non-One-Click Odin version. It's possible that the One-click version doesn't have the right instruction set to get around whatever is causing the issue on the phone (or maybe it just doesn't like the phone).
You could also try this Heimdall-based One-Click to get back to stock. It's possible that ODIN might be incompatible with your current setup.
If that still doesn't work, and you're not averse to trying your hand at soldering, you could give the Unbrickable Mod a try and see if you can go from there.
If you have any questions along the way, just post back here.
I would try flashing I897UCJF6_final_OCD_REV0.zip . That one works great for me every time and it is a one click. You'll find it in DG's stock rom thread in the development section.
I've helped a few people out with their Cappy's and I've noticed that some of the newer ones (model number 1010 and above) don't take too kindly to stock 2.1. You might want to check that. It's written behind the battery.
Have you tried i897UCKB1 (2.2) or maybe even i897UCKH3 (2.3.4)?
Thank all of you for advice. I will try out all that you advised me to.
I found model number it is 1007.
Cheers.

[Q] Unknown baseband/imei null after twrp install, ideas?

Today I made a first step towards custom ROM by installing the latest TWRP with Odin and taking a backup of all partitions. Rebooted and unfortunately now I have IMEI null and baseband null (it was originally I9305XXUFOA1 I believe)
Nothing else has been touched, I am still using stock ROM, and reset to factory default did not solve it...
I still have the IMEI number and a backup of the EFS partition. But when I restored this partition with TWRP, I still have No Signal.
I searched the forums and only thing closest is a post about the S4: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2370699
Is there any suggestion on what I can try to recover this problem?
If I type *#1234#, I get
AP I9305XXUFOB2
CSC I9305PHNFOB2
But no CP?
Now I did a total restore of the backup made with TWRP, but still "unknown baseband"
In case it helps others, here is what I learned
When flashing TWRP 2.8.7.0 on my 9305 with Odin, my modem becomes unusable every time.
It can be easily restored if you have the modem firmware, so that solved it. But it seems TWRP is very unreliable until I downgraded to an older version of it, 2.7.0.0. Now everything is working, although it can be tricky to get into the recovery mode (holding buttons for up to 30 seconds). I suppose this is normal behaviour...
Help please

Hi, I'm going nuts reading for the past 5 hours all the info about this issue and the multiple solutions i have tried with no success, i just stumbled in your post which describes exactly my problem, after flashing twrp bam!!
I have no backups, i bought this phone yesterday, unrooted this morning , spent some hours customizing stuff, got to the point to install a recovery to do a nand backup as the phone had all the apps and settings i wanted and this just happened, i am now going to do a complete stock flash, will it repair my modem? If not can you please provide me with a link to the modem firmware? Is it country associated, will i need a specific for my country/operator?
Thanks,
Bruno

Hi Bruno,
You should try to (re)flash only the modem with Odin. It's not so difficult, just take your time to familiarize with the steps.
To get a modem.bin, either you extract it yourself from a stock rom zip (see http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/) or get one from the topics at xda (for the 9305 I got XXALK2 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...05/modems-i9305-cwm-flashable-modems-t2010116).
I suppose you have no access to TWRP right now? If so, reflash it with Odin too. I recommend version 2.7.0; it works for me very well. Then immediately take backup of everything (EFS etc) and transfer it to your PC
Let us know how it goes,
SOLVED: Null IMEI and baseband
Hi all,
My problem is solved, after flashing the latest stock ROM for my model (I9300) I got my IMEI back and everything back to normal, as told I could have just the modem.bin flashed but I went for the full re-image.
Then i unrooted using cf-autoroot and flashed twrp version 2.8.6.0 instead of 2.8.7.0, rebooted and everything ok. I already performed a full nand backup and learned various lessons from this. I think guys at TWRP should know that their latest version for the galaxy s3 is causing this problem, i believe most people will send their phones for repair because there are so many possible causes for this problem and so many xdifferent possible solutions that most people will quit solving the problem and will try to return the phone for repair.
Thanks for your reply and for the help. I will send an email to twrp linking to this thread.

Bootloader fails in Odin, not sure what went wrong

Hello I'm not really that good with mobile tech so excuse my noobness but i decided to dive in and try to root my samsung s6. Here is step by step what i've done so far
Following a few tuts after backups i rooted my phone and verified it with root checker.
Next I downloaded a few popular root apps and removed a bunch of bloatware on the phone
Today I decided to try to install a custom ROM for my phone, after finding a suitable one for my model I proceeded with his guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...xtrestolite-deodexed-mod-edition-1-0-t3094423
Next I downloaded all the correct files (I'm confident I double checked)
Now I'm not sure if this is where I went wrong but I installed TWRP custom recovery first
Then I proceeded to install modem with Odin and that went fine it passed and phone restarted
But when I go to install bootloader under BL in Odin it just fails, tried 3 times same result
Can anyone suggest another step in troubleshooting this? If it helps I was running stock samsung os never tinkered with the phone before this
Any advice is appreciated and please let me know if there is any more info i can provide
Thanks
EDIT:
Ok so I posted this late last night after trying to figure it out for a while. This morning I left for work to discover I had no mobile capabilities at all. No data, call, text nothing. Last night I was connected to my wifi at home so I guess I didn't notice. This has been obviously brutal with no communication all day. I tried tinkering a bit with it (did a factory reset through TWRP, tried flashing everything through TWRP) and nothing really helped.
Now I'm not really sure how to proceed so any advice would help as I don't want to brick my phone. What I'm planning on doing next that is the only thing that makes sense to me (again I have very little experience with phones) is to:
1. Re-flash everything through TWRP
2. Re-flash using stock rom, stock bl, and stock modem using Odin
My questions are is there any particular order I need to do this in and also will I have to re-root the phone again after or will this just be the stock rom but still rooted?
Thanks again literally ANY ideas u can throw out here go a long way as I've opened myself a can of worms

Stock firmware

I know there are other threads like this but please read on.
I've installed the havoc os for the phone but I really wanna revert to stock with everything back to factory state including locked bootloader.
I have a LLD AL-10
I'm getting lots of annoying bugs now.
I did take a backup before flashing but it got corrupted because of twrp and upon restoring won't work.
I've seen lots of threads telling how to revert but none makes sense to me ?.
There was also a thread in the guides section on how to recover from bootloops to stock but when I use the second option it gets to 5 percent and shows an error.
I tried extracting the Img files from the update.app.
But while flashing it it gives some wierd errors.
When flashing the system.img it keeps on flashing again and again and dosent end , had to pull the cable and flash havoc os again.
I'm having an LLD AL-10.
I want to revert to factory condition.
Please someone provide detailed steps.
I'm all good and running now thanks to you guys.
Moderators kindly close the thread.
