I need orange fox recovery

Any requirement before rebooting to stock system, i.e needs rooting etc

[If already on some recovery]
• Downlod the OrangeFox recovery zip on your RMX2170
• Boot into the current recovery
• Flash like any other zip
Did that and afterwoods rebooted to recovery and it takes me to fastboot mode won't go into recovery.

PLEASE SOMEBODY ANSWER!!:
When i installed this on android 11 i got an error booting the system. In recovery there was a boot error log, something along the lines of:
Couldn't boot reason: unable to set forced encryption
Any idea? I followed instructions above

Anyone knows why it can't update ota files? It says something like a wrong phone model but it's not.. I can't update any stock firmware

The thread title says "Android 10". Check the Android 11 thread for an updated version that fixes the decryption.

Is there any way to turn off fbe encryption without formatting data?

When I downloaded twrp 3.5.0, flashed and tried to reboot to recovery nothing happened.. Device just restart.. Can you give me link of version you use that works?

I also can't enter recovery by pressing +vol and power. I have had the phone for 2 days.
But I do it like this: first I enter bootloader by pressing -vol and power, then I select recovery and this way works.
You can find links to recovery in Telegram by searching for "realme 7 Pro" group.

Have you already found a version that works?
Recovery can be also accessed via Magisk or advanced restart menu e.g. in AEX Aosp Extended ROM or other modified ones.

Thanks for this recovery, It looks amazing, I've tested it and so far everything works except mount system or vendor or things that needs to mount those partitions but it's a common issue with Android 10, also, you provide only an Image and not the zip file, tried to install that image as recovery ramdisk but it failed (new boot.img larger that boot partition).
Aside from that, it really impressed me and I like it a lot, thanks

Your url doesn't work - truncated. However, I did find a FAQ pdf on http://orangefox.tech
Also, thanks for your work! And remembering us lowly Pixel users.
You might want to post on the XL forum - got more folks over there.
So we need an already installed recovery to install this recovery... Can you make this independent?

Yeah but there is a mistake on how to install this. There is no zip, it's the img file actually and we have to boot into fb first. This might be intentional but it's not newby friendly.
Is it possible to make this flashable ?

I don't think so, I think the recovery is too big to fit in the ramdisk.
Well, the img file of TWRP 3.3 is 1 MB bigger, so there must be some limitations that I'm not aware of.
Perhaps there is a way to boot this with a modified TWRP that could reboot to Orange Fox using aroma.

I asked some folks on the orangefox building telegram, and they said it is not possible for a .zip installer on pixel.
Thank you, I tried it and it works without problems

@Nandan.R.D there is no way to install this as it is. You have to boot it manually with your computer everytime you want to use it.

This is great! OrangeFox manages to decrypt data, unlike TWRP!
Here's the download link for the Pixel IMG: (not sure why they didn't bother updating this post, like they did with the XL)

please help... Rom install error in TWRP 3.4.1
I want proper installation process for this rom..
Wifi not working after installation.
Also, I had to use PBR instead of TWRP since it gives me error installing the modified RUI on TWRP.
Also, when I tried booting back to recovery after installing ROM, the device gave me the Boot image destroyed error, and had to reflash phone.
I would appreciate some insightson the WiFi situation.
And also a more detail install instructions, like, what recovery to use to begin with.
Otherwise, ROM looked great from the little I saw, except that I could not find a screen refresh toggle or reference in all settings.
If you want to install Android 11 ROMs, your phone must be Android 11 or not?
I've flashed MODIFIED RUI ZIP as shown in the first post and after rebooting I even lunch my recovery mode.

Yup, but, unfortunately, I've reboot my device and after that I had a bootloop. I've flashed the stock recovery (via fastboot) and stock rom after that. And everything works fine.

I have the same problem. I've used Realme Flashtools V 1.1.1 to flash stock ROM.
Before, Iэму flashed stock recovery over Fastboot mode, but I don't know even should I do this or not.
Are the installation instructions suitable to install this ROM from android 10 ?
I followed the instructions exactly and no wifi to continue with set up and can't flash stock rom because is now android 11 recovery instead of android 10
NFC is gone
Does GCAM work on this rom? and its aux lens?

Does this need open bootloader or root?
Can the recovery backup/restore stock rom?
If the device bricks in the process could it be restored by installing stock rom with the realme utility?
Thanks

Ok, installed recovery but now it keeps booting into recovery rather than ths OS. Do I need to wipe/format data or anything else to get it to boot?
Ok I formatted data, now it says system is taking up 126gb of storage!?
So i can't install apps, create new directories and open certain apps.
Suggestions??
How to restore encrypted data??
When you try to restore /data it gives a ! Fork error. Have the same problem with every ROM, can't restore data
OK, I stupidly flashed a android 12 ROM, but now I can't boot to orangefox. Do I need to flash twrp for android 12 to fix? And how to get vbmeta (do I use android 11 vbmeta??)

So TB-8504F has a touchscreen issue where you need to sleep and wakeup recovery after it boots for touch to work. Like what @ZONTAC mentioned earlier. I was able to fix it on TWRP 3.6.2 that I built for testing. I would imagine it would work for PBRP as well. It does not affect TB-8504X which is why its not commonly seen. The F variant is not as popular. I have not tested it on 8504X mind you but I don't think that flag will be needed by it.

This flag kills the Himax touch until you lock and unlock on TB-8504F but strangely does not affect TB-8504X

Your recovery advertises that it supports both variants. That patch will fix the issue on TB-8504F, it should not change anything on TB-8504X but I don't have that version to confirm.

If you have build so i can test it on my tab(8504x)
Do You have any idea?
Freshly flashed stock, there everything works, but I cannot flash any ROM - tried both crDroid, RR and Ubuntu. Always same error.
Strange is it mounts system at first... And after formatting it can be mounted again, but than I got error, cos no image is there to be patched, I believe?

Follow proper processor
In your case :- if you are coming from stock , 1. mount system in stock recovery
2.flash pbrp/twrp
3. do factory wipe(or reset)
4. do advance wipe in which wipe system, cache, delvick ,data
5.after that flash system
6. Still having problem try d/f twrp or contact rom dev
Did a test boot without flashing. System starts but hangs on many tasks, even restarting to other modes hangs the system. My device reports as tb_8504x. I had problem with flashing through TWRP so I wanted to try PBRB.
Hello, I got PBRP to boot into recovery, I have OEM bootloader unlocked and USB debugging enabled. I'm trying to completely format the tablet to install LineageOS 18. When I wipe the process gets stuck on "Formatting system using mke2fs". It's been on it for about an hour now. Is that normal? The device is responsive. I can hold the power button down and get reboot options. I can force a reboot and get back into the recovery and try again but each time it gets halted at the format stage. What should I do?
