Question Has the camera quality degraded after the latest update 1.77.13??? - Vivo X60 Pro+

After update PD2056F_EX_A_1.77.13
I have noticed a sudden degrade in the following,
1. Potrait Mode: Edge detection has degraded. Edges are becoming softer than before.
2. Over all decrease in sharpness and more of a paint like effect.
3. PRO Mode: Flicker effect when lowering iso and shutterspeed at the same time. Lens flickers a lot.
4. The Gimbal: When recording with Gimbal lens, there is slight vibration when the Gimbal reaches its exact end point. This vibration gets recorded in video as well.
5. There is a degrade in pic quality of the periscope lens.
Overall I feel there is a bug in post processing of pics...which is making them less sharp to say......

Cleaning the camera lens with toothpaste
Hi tracer123, you tried to clean the camera lens with toothpaste?,
I have the same problem with my z1, and i found a tutorial for fix that, but i didn't tried if it works yet.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/general/tut-clean-camera-lens-getting-blurry-t3169539
Some users says that this solution works, but be caution, a comment in the thread says this:
"Be cautioned, though. Removing the coating will affect your night shots. Pictures with lights (car headlights, streetlamps) will noticably be worse since the coating is to cut the glares that came in the lens."
At least you can try, maybe i will try to clean my camera lens in a couple of days.

The real difference between standard 10mp mode and 40mp

I guess this is the best comparison between the 2 modes. Look at the words of OG & 裕华国货。 The 10mp gave the most accurate colour production. The 40mp colour is blown out. Guess the 40mp mode has no processing. I have tried 3 times, same results.

I just did a few test shots. It definitely seems like choosing 40 mp gets rid of the excessive sharpening in auto mode, and essentially producing photos that look more or less identical to pro mode (with auto settings).
First photo is pro mode 10 mp, second auto 10 mp, third auto 40 mp.

Note 9 front camera 5.2 megapixels?? [EXYNOS]

Hi,
I was just playing around with the camera app today and noticed that the front camera was set to 5.2 megapixels, so I was like let's just change it back to 8..
Unfortunately, when I tapped on the front camera options there was no option above 5.2..
Any suggestions that'll fix this?
Do know my device is exynos and I'm running the latest security patch I.e: june one ui

There is 8 mpx.
When you run camera, switch to "wide" angle, and than enter In settings.

Thanks bro..
I mentioned this problem in another thread before. Since we have the wide mode me lost true 8 MP Front Camera. No other mode or camera app except the fake "wide mode" can take pics with 8 MP. Samsung screwed us there big time

Vertical Black Bars Scrolling Sideways Everytime I Open the Camera

Everytime I turn on the camera of my Huawei P30 Pro and point it to a light source, it seems to always show these vertical black bars that scroll sideways and they just randomly go away. It sometimes takes a minute to go away, but sometimes it takes less than 10 seconds which is weird. I haven't dropped my phone or broken it in any way so it's weird.

This is a normal limitation of digital cameras. Some light sources flicker at the rate of the AC electrical current (50Hz in some countries, 60Hz in others). Our eyes can't see this but our cameras can.

smartphone screen suffering from artifacts in dark secnes (macroblocking)

Is this normal display behavior?
I have seen some of this artifacts on my LG LCD IPS monitor, but on the phone i can see it much more.
Don't have another phone with amoled scren, and was wondering, if anyone can tell me if this is normal for the screen:

This is from the most recent batman trailer,
I also notice some artifacts on other displays, but on the s20 FE i can see it much more.
Can you guys also see it?
It has more artifacts because the amoled panel was much more contrast?
Help pls
Yes, I think the screen is just allowing you to see more of the compression losses in the video.
the trailer looked fine to me, I agree compressed video will produce more artifacts. if you watched it through a browser with a data saving option that could be the cause.
