Question Intense Flickering in Slow Motion (V12.5.1.0. RKFEUXM) - Redmi Note 10 Pro

Hello everybody!
I am on RKFEUXM and have just updated from 12.0.16 to V12.5.1.0. Everything OK excepting for the camera which in Slow Motion has an intense and annoying flickering. Anyone else faces this?

I have discovered that this flickering appears because of the (low quality) LED bulb which lighted the room where I firstly checked the camera.
So, no problem whatsoever with the camera itself!

TyTN II choppy/laggy main camera but fast/quick 2ndary camera?

So I was playing around and I noticed that when using the main camera it was really choppy, but when I used the secondary camera it was fine, this is for both photos and videos. But out of fluke one time today the main camera had no lag...
So when recording video it's really choppy and photos if I move even the slightest it blurs =/ it's not quick refresh at all.
Using the secondary camera it seems to be very quick and recording videos is fast, not choppy at all.
Any solutions?
After some quick searches I Found this is a common problem...but doesn't answer my question how I got it to work perfect under the same conditions (I was inside the whole time same light conditions)
*shrugs*
The primary camera lags because it shifts into night mode when there is low light so as to get as much light into the lens. Trust me, try going outside when it's quite bright or something and the camera will be sooth as silk
Some people hate this feature though. Not sure if you can switch this "quirk" off so it only happens manually.

That's the funny thing though...it was perfectly fine after this 'glitch' happened haha...in the same light conditions, I'm trying to make that happen all the time

same here, when using things light snapchat or just the normal camera even in slightly low light it becomes very laggy. very odd!
I know what you're talking about. Use snapchat to click pictures from the front camera, doesn't lag at all.
I face lag issue

laggy camera

I am experiencing laggy camera, is this common?
When I turn it on it moves slowly
On low light or night time... Yes...it happens with most cameras
It's not lagging, it's called EIS, it's trying to stabilize your shot

Question Slow motion bug(solved)

Hi, when I use the slow motion , the whole display starts to flicker, but still works. all the other camera modes are fine.
Is that software issue?

The display is flickering while recording, or the video when playing back? I just tried, I don't see any flickering while recording. But if it's in the recorded video, what kind of lighting are you in? I recently tried to take a slo-mo with my S20, and had significant flashing. It was at night, I figured it was due to the LED lighting flash rate being slowed down.

Yes, i would suspect this. Unbeknownst to the average person, LED lights tend to flicker A LOT. They do this at a given harmonic of the line frequency. If you're in the US then the LED will flicker either at 60Hz or 120Hz. Most people can't see this at full speed as the light has a bit of persistence and we're geared to see smooth motion. But, when you slow it down you find that at 240Hz or 480Hz the video is now fast enough to catch the dark patches in between the pulses. So, the video seems to strobe. Not all LED bulbs will do this and those that do won't all do it the same. But, it's there, you just can't see it. Keep in mind when shooting video in other modes this could still happen. At 60Hz or 120Hz video even though it's full speed you are still potentially capturing some frames in between pulses. This could cause a sort of beat frequency to appear. So, if anyone is having that problem when trying to shoot video your options are 1: do it in the sunlight. The sun doesn't flicker. or 2. Get a constant light source. Fluorescent bulbs have greater persistence as do the old incandescent bulbs. Professional lighting will be consistent too. But, $4 LED bulbs are going to SUUUUCK for slow mo video.
Yes. You were right. The problem was the led bulb.
That was interesting.
Thanks guys
