Unlock bootloader? - Huawei Mate 40 Pro Questions & Answers

I have desperately tried to find the bootloader unlock code for my device. My company is always knocked out so that no root program recognizes my device. Apparently the reason for that is Huawei's very own solution not to support opening the bootloader in any way these days.
So my question is:
Is there any official or unofficial way to open the bootloader?
Model is Huawei mate 40 pro plus

Keine, niente, ninguna, no chance...

Thanks for the answer! Yes, I already thought that!

Unlocking bootloader on Huawei P9

Hello, I wanted to install a custom rom + kernel on my girlfriend's Huawei because she is having battery issues. Coming from a Samsung device I thought that unlocking the bootloader would have been easy but oh my I was wrong. Now that Huawei's unlocking site is closed is there a way to get the bootloader code without buying DC-unlocker? I know it's cheap but I don't find it fair. Thank you

Option 2 - SRK Tool Huawei

For rebranding one must flash oeminfo from the other cust
It can be done manually from TWRP (but to flash TWRP you must have unlocked Bootloader) or some tools (like SRK?) can execute for you, but hidden into the batch file
Anyway, to be able to flash things, Bootloader must be unlocked and for that you must have Bootloader code
So I'm really puzzled if/how that batch tool can circumvent unlocking the Bootliader - have you tried yourself, with the Bootloader locked and without its code?

It seems like that tool is able to extract the bootloader code (I don't know if you have to flash oeminfo, if so, it would be pretty useless). I'll certainly try it as soon as my girlfriend has time.

Please confirm here if the tool can 'extract' Bootloader code
Btw, I think I used SRK year and more ago, it just asks user to type in the Bootloader code (so you must know the code)
(Later on I learnt to use ADB and Fastboot and since then I rather have control in my hands than using batch tools...)
Only if that is now a new version of the tool that can 'exteact' the code by itself - but that will be a sensation, just take a look around, everywhere/everybody knows that people must pay mere 4 Euros to get Bootloader code but here you have a tool that can do it money and hassle free, and nobody being aware of

Ok, please let us know how it turns out as on my side I haven't been able to try any of those yet.
I will try to get my hands on a windows computer and see how it goes.

Ok so it actually asks for the bootloader code. No luck with the SRK tool...

Just as was described to be in posts #3 and #5 above - there is no (free) magic tool to circumvent unlocking Bootloader with the required Bootloader code
Only DC Unlocker tool - for 4 Euros to obtain Bootloader code (since Huawei stopped providing for free)
DC Phoenix can do it too but in the combination with unbricking (more expensive)

Is it possible to unlock bootloader of Huawei Mate 10 Pro at the moment ?

I've contacted DC-Unlocker and Ministry of Solution to know if it's possible to unlock bootloader and they answer me it isn't.
Does it not exist any way to unlock bootloader of my Huawei Mate 10 pro BLA-L29 ?
Bye

Depends on your build.
I have successfully unlocked mine in December using an unlocking service I found on eBay from "mnz technologies" but it seems they no longer offer it. I also know of a site called "GSMZambia.com" and they claim that they can do it but the service is also unavailable at the time of posting.
So to answer you question: it is possible but probably not at the moment, you'll just have to be on the lookout.

Nope.
That said, it depends on your build if you can use HCU client to unlock. (Was patched in May 2018).
But there are a few services, all are down at the moment though.

I'm in the same boat with two new-ish mate 10 Pro's.

I've had correspondence with both DC and ministryofsolutions. They are both saying no
Really don't want to move away from the hardware to another phone but I'm at tipping point..
Any new thoughts?
Anybody?

My exact same reasons for moving away a couple months ago to oneplus 6 and I haven't regretted it for one moment.
Huawei pulled the plug on advanced users and as you can see on this forum the support has been killed subsequently where as oneplus has HUGE community support.
My primary phone right now, with xxx-no-limtis-rom, magisk, xposed and after dedicating my time it gives me a full two days of mild usage time. I passed my mate 10 pro to my daughter but she doesn't get more than one day. Pitty, it's a nice phone with good hardware, but having a manufacturer decide for me what I can do with my phone is just outrageous.
Sorry to flog a dead horse, but has there been any progress in getting bootloaders unlocked for Mate 10 Pros? I wanted to root mine ages ago, but stupidly dropped it and broke the screen. It's taken me a while to get around to replacing the screen and now it's good t ogo, but in that time it appears that all means to root it are no longer valid.
It is a BLA-L09 single-im Mate 10 Pro, which is at stock EMUI and Android of 8.0.0, with build 8.0.0.133(C782) and security patch 1st October 2018. Can anyone give me a definite answer as to whether I can root this, and if so, how?

You can, but you will need to disassemble your phone. You will need to use test-point to write board firmware, then use HCU Client while on board firmware to get unlock code. After this you repair imeis and stuff using HCU, else you will have no imeis or network. There's a lot of work for the code xD When you've repaired you need to flash a dload firmware, preferably 8.0 but it needs to be from after May 2018.
If you plan on using EMUI10 you won't need the unlock code as Huawei removed the ability to unlock altogether, even with the code...
It can be tricky getting the back off as it's IP rated. If you replaced screen yourself you probably have opened it already
Let me know if you want to do it, I can assist you on Telegram.
Also please note that a HCU Client/DC Phoenix license is needed, it's $19ish for 3 days of usage. And you will need BLA Board firmware. Dload to 8.0.0.133(C782) can be found for free on androidhost.ru.

Thanks ante0, appreciate the offer. I had a friend change the screen for me (i'm more software than hardware) so will ask them and see. Sounds like a lot of work. Damn Huawei.
Not using the 10 pro, but normal mate 10 with emui 10. I have option in developer options to enable oem unlock which might be bootloader unlock. and I have unlock code saved from emui 8.
1) Is there a point in unlocking bootloader if there is no development on roms? And is there even a way to root it with an unlocked bootloader anyways
2) I didn't want to lose data trying it if there was no benefits to unlocking it
3) I kind of forgot how to unlock it anyways, if someone had old instructions, I'd be open to testing if it works up to the point of actually doing it because I don't want to lose data.

It doesn't matter if it's Mate 10 Pro or Mate 10,on EMUI 10 you won't be able to unlock the bootloader, even if you have the code.
And no, root is not possible without unlocking the bootloader.
Root huawei mate 10 lite
Hello, my phone is huawei mate 10 lite RNE-L21 8.0.0.346(C432).With EMUI and android 8 and security patch 1st November 2019. Can anyone give me a definite answer as to whether I can root this, and if so, how?

how to roll back to EMUI 9 - Looking to install lineageos and degoogle

I've just got a refurbished p20 pro and am looking to put lineageos on it and leave google off
I've seen that EMUI 10 it's pretty much impossible to unlock the bootloader so I want to rollback to 9
it's been a long time since i've done anything like this so not sure where to look how to do it...
Thanks in advance!
You can rollback to 9.1 with hisuite but to unlock the bootloader you must have the code.
I already have my p20 pro unlocked and flashed lineageos, but I do not remember the unlock code...
If I roll back to 9.0 with hisuite, will it get locked again?
Has anyone used ministry of solutions for an unlock code? They apparently have more codes but want to remote onto my computer to do it... Not sure I want to let them.. . But the code is only $15....
