Question OTA Updates with bootloader unlocked - Xiaomi Mi 11

Hello,
as the titel mentiones, does the phone get OTA updates, stock Rom on it, if the bootloader is unlocked?

It does yes

Thank you

I will receive my Mi 11 (Cloud White) 8/256 next week, come from a OnePlus 8T (DL Unlocked & Magisk)
On OnePlus when an OTA was installed, for keep Magisk, after OTA installed and BEFORE restart phone, we reinstall Magisk with the Install > install in inactive slot/space (special after OTA) because Oneplus 8T use A/B partitions.
My question is simple, it's the same thing on the Mi 11 ? Useful for update officialy without lose Root or without need to reflash the patch boot/magisk

Ajuda para atualizar meu dispositivo (após Root/Magisk/build.prop)

Hello everyone, I need a little help. I bought a MiA2 in October 2018, which unlocked the bootloader, installed the Magisk module and changed the line of code through build.prop to get the Camera2Api. I was stuck in the November 2018 update and would like to know, in your opinion what would be the best method for me to have my device updated again and consequently get Android 9 installed?

Download the latest flashable from miui roms
http://en.miui.com/download-353.html
which is 10.0.8.0, clean flash it via Mi tool and after update via ota to 10.0.9.0. Important is at mi flash to check clean all not clean all and relock also not keep data because u r changing from oreo to pie. Other solution is to restore original boot.img, factory reset (because changing from oreo to pie) and update via ota to pie. You have to restore boot.img by flashing original boot.img via fastboot and not by magisk because causes bootloop. I think the clean flash is the better solution.

Question XIAOMI.EU TWRP Firmware (unlocked) = Saftynet Passed + OTA Updates + Widevine Level 1-what does it mean?

hi guys ,
i want to buy mi 11 ultra , chinese version from chinese shop , that already have : XIAOMI.EU TWRP Firmware (unlocked) = Saftynet Passed + OTA Updates + Widevine Level 1 .
my questions are:
1. how do i find the CODENAME OF my DEVICE if i want to update my miui?
2. if i have ota updates , is it mean that the updates would be pushed inside the device automatically without doing all the process you talking about? even tough im not in china?
3. if ill buy the device with the global rom, will ill get the updates automatically? or both rom needs manually updates altough its written that he has ota?
4. whats the purposse of the "twrp"?
thnx
You get the OTA´s load it onto your mobile phone and then install it via the TWRP at the end just select 'WIPE CAHCE' and then 'REBOOT' the update is done. All data, apps and settings are retained thats it.
I DONT UNDERSTAND .
here is what they write in "trading shenzen" about buying the ULTRA OR pro11 -
Xiaomi.EU (Fastboot) = Forum Custom Firmware, no OTA Updates (manual), Saftynet Passed, Widevine Level 1 usually.
Xiaomi.EU (TWRP) = Forum Custom Firmware, OTA Updates, Saftynet Passed, Widevine LEvel 1 in general
SO, IN WHICH ROM YOU GET THE AUTOMATIC UPDATES WITHOUT DOING IT MANUALLY?

The second option. The Weekly Xiaomi.EU ROM Uupdate can be downloaded and applied automatically all through the native Updater which is what you want.
As far as I know all the updates need to be done manually, it is not difficult anyway
so maybe ill ask that - if i buy chinese phone with global rom , not global edition , will i get the updates automatically?
You won't get global ROM but Xiaomi EU if you want global ROM you must flash it yourself

Question NE2213 to NE2215

I have the US version of the 10 pro, but I recently installed the NE2213 rom with the latest security update - c.26. My bootloader is unlocked and I am rooted. What is the best way for me to get back to the NE2215 rom? I can't find a full zip of the NE2215 c.26, and I wasn't able to install the NE2215 c.22 using oxygen updater. I do have twrp and I have the NE2215 c.22 rom saved, so is it an option to flash that rom in twrp? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
You sort of screwed yourself by jumping regions for now, you'll have to wait for a full ROM of NE2215 to be released if you don't want to lose Data. If you're fine wiping, you can use the rollback package to NE2215 A12, then update all the way back to C26 2215, and then root there.
Using the OTA method worked for me, for the record, for updating from C22 to C26 with NE2215. Unroot, take OTA downloaded from Oxygen Updater in LocalUpdate.apk, root to other boot slot, reboot. The only time this gave me issues is a major Android version switch. (The A12 to A13.) Texts were buggy at first but placing a few calls fixed all that.

Thank you! I wasn't worried about wiping, so I did the rollback and it worked perfectly.

Question Xiaomi 11T Pro - Upgrading from Android 12 to Android 13 through Fastboot

Hello everyone,
I have a Xiaomi 11T Pro (Model number - 2107113SG, 8GB ram, 256GB rom, Snapdragon 888 ; european model).
Currently, the phone is running MIUI 13 (Android 12, 13.0.21.0.SKDEUXM with no updates available), but i want to flash MIUI 14 (Android 13, 14.0.5.0.TKDEUXM - already tried to use recovery ROM method but i got an error: can't verify update - can't install this stable ROM - i know 13.0.21.0.SKDEUXM has issues).
I understand the process of flashing (Installing ADB Drivers, enabling USB debugging, unlocking bootloader, booting phone to fastboot mode and then flashing firmware with either MiFlashtool or .bat script).
All of the data on the phone is backupped (i don't mind any data loss)
But i happen to have two big questions.
1: Will I be able to re-lock the bootloader after I flash the firmware? Firmware is official and it is also EEA version.
2: Will I be able to recieve OTA updates after I flash the firmware? Or the phone will recognise that I flashed the firmware and OTA updates will be blocked?
Thanks in advance.
You can flash any stock rom and version and re lock the bootloader on this device.
And the OTA will work.
