This works fine on my redmi 9t if you want a stable custom rom.

Hello, I am also a redmi note 9 user. I am still searching net hunter. after 1 day research I was find redmi note 9 support kali nethunter. simple download kali net hunter lite verson. Trust me it's working. flash it with magisk manager. and enjoy.
