How do I add a theme?
Download the theme suitable for your version of EMUI you want from our site.
The file you downloaded should have the extension .hwt (Huawei theme).
Then find the downloaded .hwt file in the file manager. (It is usually located in the Downloads folder.)
Copy or move the .hwt (blabla.hwt) file you downloaded in the file manager.
Copy or paste the file into Huawei’s theme folder.
“You can paste it directly into the HWThemes folder. If there is no such folder, enter the Huawei folder then paste it into the Themes folder.”
Enjoy it, friends. Waiting for your comments.

yes, me too brother

Hello.
I've downloaded files and paste to Huawei themes folder. But they aren't visible in Theme app (I cleared app data).
Maybe the problem is that after downloading there is hwt folder, not hwt file. I use other themes, shared by other forum user and there was a hwt file- after pasting it to Huawei theme folder it works in my Huawei P40 Pro (EMUI 10. 1). But after downloading this link there is a hwt catalog, including files, not hwt single file. @gokhanhaskilit can you help me please?

Hello, I think you have to change file name. If you see like .zip on theme name, change this file extention to .hwt or still you see .hwt, change to .hwt because may be it is have a strange problem. Because I heard the first time like that problem.
If you still have problems, check this tutorial article: Click Here (How to add theme to my Huawei Device?)

Updated Version of Transparent Theme - AuraxTSense

--Update Feb 20--
Sorry guys had to remove the link to this theme as requested by sopL87. Please look at my post on page 2. If I have time I'd like to ask NeoPhyTe.x360 if he's let me post an edited verison of his AuraxTSense theme thereby fixing this problem...
--Original Post--
This is my favourite theme because of the transparent look. I really like the alpha transparencies on the status bar so even with a while background it still shows everything. I've updated it to fix some graphics issues that were bugging me...
- Removed black line under transparent status bar
- Created new lockscreen as old one wasn't displaying properly
- Changed "InCall" lockscreen as I think the author forgot this
- Updated HTC Skin Preview
- Resigned APK (installs no worries)
Special thanks to the original author NeoPhyTe.x360 for creating this awesome theme. Also thanks to sopL87 for porting NeoPhyTe.x360's theme over to Desire HD.
----Instructions-----
Simply copy .apk to microSD card and install with a file manger as you would any other app. Using stock HTC Sense UI, open your personalize menu and then select Skin, then choose AuraxTSense.
Enjoy

revolution hd
does this theme works on revolution hd rom?
thx
^^ Um I don't see why not. I mean I've not personally tried Revolution ROM but I have tried this theme on Sense UI, Laucher Pro and ADW.Launcher and they all work. If you are using Launcher Pro or ADW.Launcher for me the only way I could seem to use the theme was to install the .apk file then switch into Sense UI then select the AuraxTSense Skin in under your Sense Profile/Skins. Finally I'd switch back to Laucher Pro or ADW.Launcher and the skin would remain on. My guess is if using a custom launcher other than the stock HTC Sense one you may well need to have Sense installed to select this skin.
is it possible to put down all transparent?
so that we do not see the buttons?

This is exactly what lead me to edit this theme so yeah I can highly recommend doing some editing. Very easy to do. Just rename the .apk theme file to a .zip file and you can open up all the folders and see all the images. Many have sensible easy to find names like statusbarXxxxxx or lockscreenXxxxxx. Use your favourite image editing software or just grab the images from other themes. Then you just need to copy the edited files back into the original zip with the program 7-zip or winRAR and then you'll also need to search for Stericsson's Autosigning tool. The Auto Sign tool resigns the .apk otherwise Android won't allow you to install the .apk.

this is in original AuraxTSense...
Thank you for the "update", especially the <Removed black line under transparent status bar>
I must try
thanks
afetr modification, I can't install my modifed apk
^^ You need to resign the .apk file with Stericssons Autosign tool. Word of advice is DO NOT choose the option in Stericssons tool to install the registry file. If you install the registry file every .zip file you double click to open will instead be signed by the tool and there is no easy way to uninstall. I had to do a load back to a previous restore point in Windows 7 to get rid of that. So the best thing is when opening up Stericssons AutoSign tool is first thing delete the .reg file so you cannot accidently modify your registry. Using the tool you only need to choose the option 4 to manually sign your .zip or .apk file.
If you really run into problems and can't figure it out PM me. I'm happy to send you the autosign tool you or to sign the .zip or .apk if need be... be warned though I'm just about to move interstate so I will be pretty busy for the next bit. I may not have time to go on XDA for a little while, just have to see.
Sorry guys sopL87 has brought to my attention that I've accidently broken the forum rules by not contacting the authors before posting their edited work. He requests that I remove the link to the theme so I have removed the link.
I am moving interstate tomorrow so I'll be busy for a while but I'd like to contact the original author NeoPhyTe.x360 when I have time and see if he would let me post an edited version of his AuraxTSense theme. Again this will take time. If all is good I'll post back here if this is a go.
Sorry guys my bad...
arf bad luck ,
I wait for new info .
Sorry for you .
Thanks

[Q] Can I extract an icon.png(?) from an .apk?

Hi all,
I've downloaded these icons and would like to use the psd's that the artist provided to make lots more.

I think the quickest way to make more would be to get the official icon and shrink it so that it can be placed on the little coloured squares.
So my question is: How do I access the icon in an .apk file and also the icons for the default apps like the calculator, navigation etc? I see them on the phone screen smiling back at me but just can't seem to get my hands on the raw .png file.
Perhaps there's some kind of .apk extractor or maybe they are in the phone memory when it's on and can be lifted from there?
Many thanks to any bright spark that knows how to do this. I've searched plenty but maybe I'm just not using the right search terms or something
if all you're after is the .png to make an icon, you could copy the .apk to your computer and rename it to a .zip and extract it. the icons would be in the drawable-hdpi folder.
just in case you were asking where the .apk files are, look in /data/app or /system/app, depending on the app.
Thanks brewcrewwheels,
That worked great for stand alone .apk's but I still can't seem to find the icons for the default apps. I can't find the folders you speak of...

which folders are you referring to? actually let's start at the beginning. are you rooted? if so, do you have root explorer? if those are both yes, then in root explorer you would navigate to system, then app, then select the .apk you want. for example, let's say you want the icon for gmail. go to system, app, then long press gmail.apk. copy it to your sd card (make sure you have selected mount r/w in the top right corner), then copy it to your desktop. rename it to gmail.zip and extract it. go to the folder called res, then you will see drawable-hdpi. this contains all the icons used by the app. in this case, the png you are after is called ic_launcher_mail.png
all of the app logos will be in drawable-hdpi, but they may have different file names. that is why i recommend extracting everything, so at least you will have thumbnails to guide you. hopefully this clears things up a bit, but let me know if you need anything further.

same method, different folder. inside the apk, you can have fun exploring all the different folders and you'll find all files. the way I find music inside apk's is to play them in vlc player (google it), and it should point you to its general location. that's how I ripped a couple of hidden songs from my phone's system folder that are inaccessible any other way.

[GUIDE] How make themes to QQLauncher

Hi.
This is tutorial "how to make themes to QQLauncher". It's pretty easy
What you need:
- Android 1.5+ phone
- QQLauncher
- 7-Zip
- Notepad++
- Photoshop, GIMP or whatever you like for resizing pngs
-----------------------------------
1. First you need to install QQLauncher (like a normal app).
2. Then download theme from online gallery (follow menu button -> Theme -> Theme gallery -> choose one of themes, i.e. "复古印象"), but don't apply it!
3. Now connect your phone to computer and navigate to "sdcard/QQLauncher". You need to copy "log.log" file and theme (with strange chinesse name) from "theme" folder to your desktop.
4. Open your "log.log" file with Notepad++ and you'll see lines like these:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
- in blue square there is app name
- in yellow app package name (like in "data/app")
- in red app activity name - we need this to name icon
5. Find icon which you want to add (if you need to resize it, there are recommended sizes <because QQLauncher doesn't support icon scalling>: for HDPI 86x86 to 90x90 and MDPI 53x53 to 65x65) and rename it to this "com.cih.gamecih2.gamecih" (you need to write all name in lowercase, otherwise it won't work!)
6. Open your theme file with 7-Zip and copy icon to "icons" folder.
7. If you want to have other dockbar background, you need to replace "dock_bg.png" file in "icons" folder.
8. If you want to have other app background for apps without definied icons, you need to replace "appbackground.png" file in "icons" folder.
9. Copy your theme file to "sdcard/QQLauncher/theme" and apply it in Theme gallery
----------------------------
If you have any questions or suggestions to this tutorial, just write me on PM
Amazing !! Thx a lot, i'll try this week end.
Thanks!

Not working for me
Anyone mind taking a stab at making a theme using the icons (with permission from teh OP) from here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1225629
What the hell, I've added many icons to my own personal theme and I have correctly named, replaced, resized, compressed, and then I renamed the zip file to 圆润有爱 and then placed in the qqlauncher. then i try to apply it, and it gives my some kind of error in chinse. I have no idea what to do, ill attach my 圆润有爱.zip as a link to mediafire. http://www.mediafire.com/?693bt619sdg4iq9
You've choosen another theme you are working on NOW first?
So apply other theme, mount USB, put file in QQlauncher/theme
and then unmount USB, go to themes and apply the new one?
Or?
add the right appbackground.png for my theme

Hello everyone, I'm back once again from my cave and providing this active community with something beneficial. Lately I wanted to get back into Theming, this time for CM12 but the guides out there aren't what I'm looking for. They have potential and is a great way to start but for me... It just wasn't working out. I'm going to keep this tutorial simple and on point whilst proving useful information as well, however this time I will NOT be explaining how to theme. That is something you're going to have to learn yourself. But you may ask me or other users on how to theme certain content and if you need help. Don't hesitate to ask us, we're here to help.

To theme create a folder in the /assets/overlays folder. Give the folder the packagename of the app you're theming (com.android.whatever). remember the structure of theming is exactly the same contained in the app you're theming. For example, if you theme ic_launcher.png (icon) from /res/drawable-xxhdpi then create a folder inside of com.android.whatever called res then create a folder inside res called drawable-xxhdpi. Then drop in your themed image into the folder and you're done. The same goes for any asset file or .xml code. Note you cannot modify the code within the application as there is no way to do so, so please don't ask.

Export the .apk and install it on your device or run the "Build" or "Run" function in your IDE.
What if I'm using Android Studio 1.2. The package you provide in section three is pretty different.
Using Android Studio, I navigate to assets > overlays and right click and select New > Directory and create com.android.settings. I select the folder I just created and right click and select New > Directory and create res. Android Studio creates res in two places, assets and com.android.settings. What am I doing wrong?
I want to edit the status bar icons spacing. Both system and notification icons. Is it possible?
Hello,
I did what you said, Android Studio exported the APK successfully... but after installed on my phone, CM just doesn't recognize it :/
Here is my APK: drive.google.com/file/d/0B7ix-E7JPJ2iX0E4UDBhRFhuY3c/view?usp=sharing
Could you please have a look at the file and tell me what I done wrong?
Thank you!

have you renamed the files from .zip to .hwt
Yes, I'm running your theme with any problems.
Doing the same thing doesn't work.
Downloaded your font - renamed to .hwt - moved to hwthemes. Nothing show up when in theme app.

Had an issue with chrome, downloading mediafire files went failed when data compression was enabled. Problem solved disabling the compression.
