Question WiFi signal issue - Redmi 9 Power / 9T

My Redmi 9T WiFi's signal is very low compared to any other device I own (laptop, ipad and even an old samsung galaxy grand prime+) I'm wondering if someone have the same issue and how to fix it? when I purchased it I played with the QC test *#*#64663#*#* is it possible I did something wrong, can I revert to the default values? I even flashed a custom ROM but the wifi's signal is still very low, can a custom kernel fix the issue?

Is the signal status full while searching for the wifi?

How much speed are you getting?

if I'm next to the router the signal strength is around -60 dBm (3 filled lines out of 4 which bad enough), If I'm on the next room the signal strength is -90 dBm it's unusable.

If I'm on the next room, the connection drops altogether I can't even connect. In the same room, I'm able to get the full speed to the ISP. On other devices I can get full speed from anywhere.

Have you tried changing wifi channels and the security encryptions to see if it fixes it?

I've had that issue on my redmi 7a when I updated once.

Also, the code you used has nothing to do with the wifi signal going low, it is just a code for hardware testing.

Yeah that is exactly my problem I forgot to mention it, after updating from the officiel Xiaomi 12.0.5 to 12.0.9 I had this issue. Did you figure how to fix it? thanks for your help!

I initially assumed a kernal glitch actually.

But after using the MiFlash tool and flashing the xiaomi stock rom it fixed itself.

Just remember to flash a fastboot rom okay?
It should be stock.

I will definitely try it tomorrow, thanks. My phone was a global version, should I revert to the global one or use any other country? should I lock the bootloader?

Use the global version definitely,
The reason I didn't say that is cause I didn't know whether it was global or not.
But I flashed global and it fixed it.

I'm currently using Evolution X which is using Android 11, the stock version is still on Android 10, I've read that is not recommended to downgrade the OS, is it safe?

Oh has the kernel changed?
Check the versions between the roms

Nvm, this post shows exactly your situation.
Can i downgrade from android 11 to android 10?
Hi is it safe if i try to downgrade my rom from miui android 11 to miui android 10 using mi flash tool? I have unlocked bootloader and currently on custom rom android 11. Im planning to flash miui android 11 and then flash miui android 10.
forum.xda-developers.com
They reccommend switching from Evo X to MIUI A11 based then downgrade

No, it's fine, if you saw my other reply there's a link to another forum that another user has downgraded from the same ROM. A11 to A10

Does it happen with Bluetooth too? Mine is both of them. Playing audio via bluetooth can't listen to anything unless the phone is right in front of my face.

MI 8 bootloop after display replacement

Hi
My mi 8 display was cracked.
I wanna ask, why my mi 8 bootloop after display replacement? But when I using the old cracked display again, it turn on and works normally.
I replaced with OEM display for mi 8.
My phone was china version with global miui rom pie (forget the version).
Is this a software problems or what?
Thanks for your help.
I have the same problem after display exchange when I update my phone from 8 to 9.

Can you provide a link to this rom? Did it solve your bootloop after replacing display issue?
I'm sorry for your struggle dude. I hope you find a fix soon. If there's any way I can help let me know.
Xiaomi really needs to get their stuff together and focus more on their "flagship" mi 8 rather than poco for now.

You can download here : http://bigota.d.miui.com/9.1.10/miui_MI8Global_9.1.10_e00f5f08da_9.0.zip
But face unlock doesnt work, so I decide to try PE rom today
Face unlock is region locked(another case of Xiaomi being retarded) so the fix is to change region setting.
No downsides
Hi, im facing same problem. With new display my mi8 stuck in mi logo.
So, what is your configuration when flashing it? With new lcd or with old one?
Thanks
Mine too just use latest beta global rom. It works.
If anyone is wondering, my phone booted correctly after flashing with the current ROM (dipper_global_images_V10.2.1.0.PEAMIXM_20190110.0000.00_9.0_global_4d02fd6c97.tgz), downloaded from here, via fastboot. Earlier versions would result in a bootloop at the Mi logo after I had replaced my screen.
Just a quick update.
The latest Miui Global Rom (V10.3.3.0.PEAMIXM) can't boot on my phone, and I have to stick with the previous (V10.3.2.0 PEAMIXM) for now. It doesn't loop, just gets stuck at the initial Mi screen; this also happens if the bootloader is locked and updated via OTA.
Official TWRP versions also can't boot, but TWRP by LR Team (from here) works.
Lineage OS 16 bootloops.
I'm not exactly sure why replacing the broken display causes this, or what I can do to try figure out what the problem is; but I thought someone else might find this information useful.

I don't remember where I downloaded it from, but if you search for
dipper_global_images_V10.3.2.0.PEAMIXM_20190508.0000.00_9.0_global_afd23c937f.tgz
miui_MI8Global_V10.3.2.0.PEAMIXM_d9cf6c80bf_9.0.zip
depending on which version you need, and you will find a couple of download locations.
No, I have never tried any xiaomi.eu roms.

Over the last week, I tried xiaomi.eu stable rom.
EU 10.3.3 would boot; but EU 10.3.4 would not (in the same way that Global 10.3.3 does not boot).
Still unable to understand why changing the broken display would result in this behavior, and what I can do to overcome it. =(
I suspect a driver issue. With Device Info HW app can you confirm that your display model (LCM) is dci_ss_ea8074_notch_fhd_cmd_display? Touchscreen is also fts.
I have the screen that you say and I present the same problem as the partners.

What variant of redmi note 10 pro do you use? If it's global, try to change your update setting to "receive updates early" then try to change your region into Philippines and keep pressing the check for updates button until the update pops out.

There isn't any problems, just because it works for OP it doesn't mean every global variant will get it. You can always get Xiomi.eu if you want a later release. Its practically the same with some slight modifications/ debloat. You could also just get the firmware yourself and flash it.
Yep, right! you can just manually download the official firmware and apply manually the update for your device though

There are users like us who don't want to compromise their device safety, spend time in flashing/troubleshooting and to lose some important features via unlocking the device bootloader like making some of the banking apps useless, etc. Yes, Xiaomi EU is good! But clearly that custom rom is not for everyone.

Memory extension is probably just a type of swap memory, and since storage flash memory is slower than RAM, when it is in use you can expect lags.

Just updated with your guide. No issues !
One thing to note for the benefit of others: when you reboot for the first time after update and magisk install, the booting time can last a few minutes. You will see the MI logo and 3 dots with running lights at the bottom during this process. Normal.
Also if you have AFWall+ and / or ad blockers like Adaway setup to block your phone from accessing Xiaomi servers, this method will fail because it tries to verify the .zip file by connecting to Xiaomi. So you have to turn off these protections. This to me is actually a little less than ideal, so maybe next time I will see if I can install via fastboot / recovery or something like that.
Of course if this is not a concern, then the guide is still an easy and straightforward way of updating your MIUI. Thanks again to Pho3nX

Hello yes original cable and original charger .
Alright guys so the situation is i have an note 10s i think might be a base 10 at the same time too. It doesn't have original IMEI at all, some stupid dude changed the IMEI in both sim slots, but i went to a close friend of mine to solve this not updating issue because whenever I try updating it would crash and ending up losing all data in it. But after my friend updated the phone and fixed the IMEI situation the next update worked okay. The question is i have literally no idea would it be okay to update to MIUI 13 without getting crashes (before I gave my phone to my close friend, it would do the update as intended and the phone would open for 2 sec then crash and return back to recovery mode with an error code) .
Note: after the change the dude had, tried updating to 12.5.5.0 and it was all okay and good nothing happened and it run butter smooth.
I can't ask him because when I asked him he was like okay I fixed your phone and updated into the last firmware but you really should not try doing updates whatsoever. I miss pressed the update is ready do notification and it did the update really as a regular phone should do.
Sorry for English I'm not a native speaker at all and sorry for typing under another phone's discussion but it's literally the first time I typed something to forums
Thanks in advance.

Question Has anyone tested MIUI Global 14.0.1.0 with the Redmi Note 10 Pro?

I got the notification about the update, but as past updates often felt like they broke functionality or increased battery drain, I'd like to hear people's opinions.
I read in posts from users of other phone models that the Global 14.0 might indeed have these issues.

No, 14.0.2.0 version is the EEA rom, global rom is the 14.0.1 version as others have said.
In detail, EEA ROM is a European global ROM in a narrow sense, and the common global ROM is the 14.0.1 version.

What do you mean? Your screenshot more definitely supports my claim. TKF"EU"XM marked next to the version indicates that it is EEA global, and the global common ROM worldwide is TKF"MI"XM.
Even common global roms are version numbers "1.0" lower than "2.0" EEA roms, but later (recently) roms.
A lower number does not mean that it is a lower ROM or that changes are not reflected, but that each ROM, such as Global, EEA, Indonesia, and Taiwan, has a separate version mark.
Just showed you what i have

You can clearly understand it from the screenshot attached to the previous answer.
I've corrected that your version is EEA rather than the normal global, as it can be confusing to others. Others know that too, so they asked if 14.0.1.0 is correct.

Any specific issues you found with it?
I only have 14.0.1.0 over here.

Battery life was already crap for me at 13.0.16. The phone was around 1 year old at the time of that update, so going from 12-13 of SOT with light usage when new to 7-8 can only be explained by software bugs or shady processes running in the background.
I actually did disable through ADB several dozens of bloatware and the SOT went back to 12 hours... For one charge. Afterwards it didn't became as bad as it was, but it settled at around 10 hours, usually. Seems as if some of the spying crap detects it had been disabled in its original package so perhaps duplicates which exist under different names start operating as backup spyware.
I used to run very modded ROMs (on previous devices) and there was always some issue and all
So when I got my Redmi note 10 Pro I decided to stay on the official rom
As I was only moderately satisfied with it (rom, not device) and bored of waiting for updates
So I switched to Xiaomi.eu 14.0.1.0, around 10 days ago and I am more than satisfied
It's still very close (based on) to the official Chinese rom, but debloated and fixed
There's no thread for it (yet)
You can find everything there :
