Nikita GCam Port 7.4 - CYANOGEN MODS
www.cyanogenmods.org

Hello, does anyone else experience the lag in photo mode? Does anyone know how to fix it

Installed it in poco m4 Pro. It is working but feels janky. Too many frame drops as well. But it's working.

M4 pro uses Mediatek Helio G96. It can be in it. But 5g version should be much faster.

Hi all,
New account here (couldn't log to my old one but had to share)
I'm currently using a Redmi Note 10 5G
Stock on Miui 12.5.1 Global Stable.
MTSLCam_V7.1
With THIS Gcam : https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-mtsl/f/dl7/
I'm using the SNAP version (but Google Should also work fine)
I had to modify a few fields in the Developer Settings to have "everything" (that I tested) work.
Will upload the XML later (with just these modifications, no color or noise things done)
But if you want to try right now you should apply these changes in the developer settings.
Untick :
camcorder.covec_video
-> This is for video recording and if i remember correctly timelapse / slowmotion
Untick :
camera.cuttle.glpreview
zsl_ns
-> This is for night mode crashes
I'm not a developper I just gathered some information from the different telegram groups.
Enjoy !

Hi all,
redmi note 10 5g
Nikita Gcam. I am on version Version 1.7 based on version 8.2.300 of google camera.
Here: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-Nikita/
Only one thing to change: uncheck "camera.cuttle.glpreview" in "Developer Settings" to have the night photo.
Everything works

I asked how to have the timelapse for Redmi note 10 5G device but it seems that it cannot pass on our device. I searched and I found a paid app on play store which does intervalometer and in addition takes control of GCAM ;-) it costs a little more than 1€ and I no longer worry about finding a solution. (it works perfectly for all gcam modes).
here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobilephoton.intervalometer
I'm just waiting to have no more cloud in France to test outside and especially for the stars ;-)

Are you talking about Astrophotography timelapse ? or just video timelapse ?
If I remember correctly there is a GCAM with a feature that makes a timelapse when you shoot an astrophoto, but I never could make it work.
But normal timelapse works fine on MTSL

Just use the GCam version for S10e, S10, and S10+. I’ve even used GCam for Note 9 on my Snapdragon 5G on trip to Japan.
I don't have the phone yet and that's why I'm asking in advance. I am not too much a fan of Samsung's heavy handed noise reduction at all ISO levels, so that's why I'm looking for an alternative
Also the answer doesn't addrsss my question regarding if GCAM uses all cameras or if it crops from the normal to make a telephoto view, for instance.

Ahh, I already forgot how it was on my 5G because I returned that to Samsung. I remember later GCam releases say they get the telephoto lens working. The Note 9 version on 5G don’t have that capability I think.

Google Camera 7.1

Hi guys, anyone can mod this gcam 7.1 to properly work with all modes?
It is compatible on Android 10 devices and partially compatible with my P30 pro with EMUI 10
Working features are video (front and back), panorama, photosphere and google lens.
Photo, portrait and night sight are not working though
Hey, it would be good if gvam will work on p30 pro ?
You want to get hdr+ and that's not working on this hardware
Sent from a mobile gadget
I have the p30 pro as well and it sure seems like some of these genious xda guys could make it work. I'm sure we'd all be willing to give $$ to support it! I saw the camerakit on Huawei's development site, so it seems like it's possible?
It's there a version that will start on the p30 Pro that will load XML settings or give access to developer options?

Astrophotography isn't that easy to port. A major reason why even Pixel 2 and OG Pixel will not receive this feature is because of hardware limitations. Even if the developers manage to port the feature somehow, it won't give you optimal results. Although the image processing highly depends on the software, but the hardware capability plays a very crucial role as well. For now, I would say, have patience and see how the porting scene rolls out.
I have a Pixel 3 XL (Which is supposed to get the feature) too with the latest official Google Camera 7.2 installed, still no sign of Astrophotography on my end. I am not a developer but have read enough on the topic because I can't purchase the Pixel 4 here in India, so looking out for as many P4 camera features to be available for my Pixel 3. Sadly, Live HDR+ and Dual Exposure controls won't be available for my device too.
Update: cstark27 has released a port of GCam version 7.2 and has managed to enable Astrophotography on the Pixel 2 (of course, the port is universal like always), along with several other changes. It's worth trying the port on the Mi A3 too. Here's the link to the release notes.

Yes, but what I meant was that the results would not be as good as seen on the Pixel 4/Pixel 3/3a due to hardware. And yes, it works. You can even force-enable the Astrophotography feature in GCam.

I am currently using this version(MGC_8.1.101_A9_PV0n_Eng.apk), it seems to be working pretty good
And it is "able to detect all my camera modules" as of now and therefore i "can take macro & ultrawide shots"
however i was not able to find "no dedicated macro or ultrawide modes"
I can't say how well it compares to other gcam versions listed here, but it is definitely works and can use all sensors
