So the default font ain't that special so I changed it to sth fancier ALTHOUGH,
the following elements change with no problemo:
icon title, settings and menus, messengers, other texts and whatnot, even the gboard;
font doesn't apply on the goddamn status bar, notifications and toggles!
it changed to the new font for a brief period and reverted over night.
i wiggled every setting i could, alas to no avail.

*if you didn't notice a difference the number "6" shows it more pronounced.

Something in this clock changed my home page text (Call history and Calender) from black to white.. I know a lot of people have asked how to change that font color and I haven't seen any easy fixes.. I thought that maybe it might help someone that knows about all the workings of these files and such might be able to dissect this since it's something within this cab that did it.. It's the clean white clock cab in this post..

I'm new to all this Android stuff, I got my first android phone last Christmas & have (slowly) learned a lot, mainly here at XDA. I'm generally happy with my theme with one exception. My carrier name (Cincinnati Bell) is black on black (see screen shot). Does anyone know where this setting is? I've been searching (& searching) through framework-res.apk for the past week without any luck.

:Edit: How is it I always find the answer I'm looking for when I'm searching for something else.
I have had numerous requests for an icon set I have created. I had planned on creating a full theme around them, however free time has eluded me recently. So I figured the next best thing would be to share them with the android community. If you like them and use them all I ask is that you say thanks, if you don't feel like saying thanks, no problem, use them anyway Feel free to re-size them, change colors, etc.... The set includes 23 icons. Here are a couple screenshots to show some of the icons included.

Im trying to figure out how to change this, but Im not able to find it. It does not appear to drawable-hdpi and I opened all of the XMLs in layout that have status bar in the name, but nothing shows the gray color that the bar is now. Where is the code/picture to change this. I would like to change it from gray to black.
I attached a picture. I want to change the bar color that says Ongoing and Notifications. Im not sure if its one bar, or if there is a sepparate one for Ongoing, Notificatios, and No Notifications.

i am trying to style the text color from default black to white in these menus only so look like they look like the screen shot. the only way i have been able to do this so far is by changing the value <color name="bright_foreground_light">#ff000000</color> to white in colors. which messes up all the text fields and i get all white text on white fields. i messed with the widget styles in values for a few days now and i cant get anything to work right. i am new to styling android. but a fast learner can someone help me with this project i would definitely consider donating to a dev for help. running stock rooted gingerbread 2.3.4.
