[Q] USB Tethering Xbox Live??

Stupidly i left my xbox live wireless adapter at university over Christmas. Is there anyway to plug the usb from my phone into the xbox and usb tether xbox live??
or wireless ???? please help
Late reply but only just saw this one. Your XBOX will not and will never have the necessary USB drivers to identify the device plugged in, and therefore wired tether will nto work.
Use s crossover cable from your laptops ethernet jack to your xbox and share yours pc's connection
you should be able to tether via wifi using mobile ap in the wireless settings. i've used it on my ps3 many times. is worth noting the sgs will run very hot & unles you have really good reception you'll get lag.

Using wired ethernet - not 3g or wifi

In some places i do not want to use 3g or wifi but have a wired ethernet port free on the router. Some apps only work via wifi or 3g. I use the media importer app with USB OTG cable and a USB/LAN converter for email browsing. Is there a way I can trick apps such as (BBC iPlayer, sky go) to work via the wired LAN port? I would rather not root.

Why don't you use something like this, (I can't post URLs, just search eBay for "EDUP 150Mbps Portable Mini Wireless Wifi AP Client") and connect via WiFi to the wired lan?
It acts as a mini access point, a repeater or a WiFi client, and it is powered via any USB port, or a provided 5V power supply.

i thought he don't want to use wifi ?
one thing that can be tried is to use iptables. Basically the same tricks that is used by ProxyDroid. Just re-route everything that goes to the wifi interface to the wired interface. Though that means the wifi interface may still needs to be up, but not actually connected to the router.

Chromecast on wired connection

FYI, if you are using the Chromecast (wired) Ethernet adapter ($15 shipped from Play Store, appears to be a Realtek chip) or another supported wired USB-Ethernet adapter via OTA cable, you do NOT need to give Chromecast with your wireless network information.
You still need to run Chromecast setup, but if it has a wired connection all you set is name, guest access and usage reports. No country or wireless info required.
This is all that gets put into the config files by setup:
Code:
ctrl_interface=/data/wifi
update_config=1
country=US

Android Auto Compatible car + Nexus 9 tablet + MiFi --> would that work?

Greetings,
I tired to install AA apk on my Nexus 9, have my tablet connected to a WiFi network using Mifi hot spot, then bluetooth tethered my tablet to my AA compatible car (2016 Accord), and plugged my tablet via USB to the can, on the tablet the AA launches but on the vehicle display it shows "loading" then it can't connect. Is there a way to use my Nexus 9 tablet to run AA in my AA compatible car?
Using same USB cable, I tried using a test phone Samsung S7 Edge (bluetooth tethered and plugged into USB) and it worked right away, I don't want to use data from my phone, need to use the Mifi
thanks

Wifi to ethernet tether - possible?

Hi,
I know chromecast supports some ethernet to usb devices, meaning you can connect your cc via Ethernet instead of wifi.
I was wondering if anyone has achieved turning a chromecast (rooted probably required) into a wifi receiver and sending wifi data via Ethernet to another device (eg. Tv with an eth port but no wifi).
