Question Would Anyone kind enough to upload the .appx package for the Samsung Notes Windows 10 app? - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

My Samsung device just broke and I need access to my notes for uni I would really appreciate if someone could upload the installation file so that those of us without samsung laptops can download it.
The Samsung Notes app is available for free in the Microsoft Store here: https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9NBLGGH43VHV and for those of us without samsung laptops It says it is incompatible and Microsoft got rid of all other loopholes to download it.
You can find a guide here on how to extract the .appx installation file: https://www.maketecheasier.com/download-appx-files-from-windows-store/
Here is a previous XDA thread that was posted here which is why I am reposting, the link is dead and If someone is able to upload this, I will ensure it stays hosted whether via torrent or cloud storage
Edit: Samsung Notes is available on Lenovo and other laptop brands, but mainly is only available to download for sammy books

For those who care, I have found something interesting. This was posted on the Samsung Community forums and I would assume any company providing forum services for all their services, I figure that company would highly regulate what gets posted on there.
Well here's a post from 11.2020 where a stud linked a drive upload of the appx. I assume it to be safe there's no samsung disclosure or policy thrown in your face on that link lol. Installing now, virus scan found nothing. Will update when installed and updated
Get Samsung Notes on any Windows10 PC
Get Latest Samsung Notes 4.1.28 Now you can view & edit Spen Notes on any PC I have made an installable file for windows 10 which can be installed on any PC. Sync and Everything works perfectly Installation instructions are inside the file Download file...

Android VNC

A very good vnc solution that is *actually* useable....It's beyond me as to why this isnt on the market (maybe its the $25?)
Play around with it...its quite fun...
Where's the link?
Is this it: http://code.google.com/p/android-vnc-viewer/ ?
Android VNC Viewer
So last night i saw a post on googles own vnc viewer which is coded to work on the g1 and the android emulator.
Well, I forwarded my ports correctly and setup my server accordingly. I am using TightVNC as well as UltraVNC at seperate times.
I am able to establish a connection through all services on my g1, (3g edge and wifi). Only when I arrive on the connection
I am greeted with only a black screen. I switch to mouse control on my g1 by pressing trackball and can see me moving the pc mouse from my g1.
So my connection is working flawlessly but my only error is that i cant see anything on my g1.
Is there a special mirror driver i must install??? somebody please help me for i use remote desktop as a part of everyday life
Latest androidVNC viewer
As long as none of these are shown as released on http://code.google.com/p/android-vnc-viewer/ I'll keep compiling and placing them here. I'll edit this post with the current latest so it's easy for everyone to download without spending the time getting eclipse up and working.
r17 allows saving of multiple servers for quick-connect profiles.
I do not know if you need to uninstall the previous version before installing this one. I always uninstall before installing the new one with a project that changes as much as this one has recently.
Thanks buddy!
Thanks so much! I hope this app gets the development it deserves. This, and an rDesktop app are needed badly!

Android-VNC Viewer Compile?
How do I go about compiling the source code for the Android-VNC Viewer located at (http://code.google.com/p/android-vnc-viewer/).
I looked around and seen a post that said I would have to compile it on linux / mac... I do have Ubuntu setup on this machine as a separate OS but I'd rather not boot into Linux just to do that...
Anyone run native Linux that can compile the APK and add a link? If not then I will as long as I know how
just download the apk they have for download and use that.
The APK that is on there is far outdated compared to where the project currently is. For instance, there is a post that links r17's release on it which allows you to save settings, change color mode and a few other nice features... The current build is up to r28 now so I'm sure better support and newer features were added since then.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3199765#post3199765
I think that build is only a few days old.
r31 is now the latest and the developers have released it directly:
http://android-vnc-viewer.googlecode.com/files/androidVNC_build090125.apk
They compiled it this time around so I didn't have to
Thank you! Cant wait to try it. =)
Hmmm, I tried the linked apk and it won't install. The older version still works.
I checked out the trunk but it is the same as the previous release.
I checked out the antlersoft branch but it doesn't compile: package com.antlersoft.android.dbimpl does not exist
Has anyone else tried the latest version apk or compiling?
I've tried it, and it won't connect for me. However, I haven't tried any previous versions, so I may have it set up incorrectly.
The R17 build won't work for me, so chalk it up to that. Or my stupidity.
Well I downloaded it to my laptop and then installed via adb and it worked.
Usually I download with steel and install from the sdcard. But that didn't work this time for some reason. (new JF1.41 or new vnc or user error?)
This wouldn't install for me from the sd card. Any ideas?
Yeah it wont install for me either, I tried both AppsInstaller from SDcard and adb - neither were successful... I noticed the build is now at 33, any chance we can get someone to compile it? Maybe the issue was fixed but not repacked?
There's an "official" build/apk out on http://code.google.com/p/android-vnc-viewer/. The filename calls is 090125 which, I assume, means January 25th I downloaded it and tried to install it from my phone (not via adb) and it failed to install for me (BTW, so does the -17 version in the first post). Could be that the key is installing via adb, I don't know. I'll try it later when I have a chance but I thought everyone owuld be interested in the update.
I reported this as an issue on the project, however after fully uninstalling the previous app and downloading the file directly from my G1 it installed successfully. I did not use the SDcard / AppsInstaller or ADB - I just used the traditional method of going to the site on my phone and installing it from there, after I uninstalled the previous version.
Hopefully this works for you guys as well.

Download apps off computer onto g1

Does anyone know where i can get .apk apps from the computer and then install them onto my g1??
browse the forum, I know there is a website that lets you view the market and whatnot from your computer, I don't remember what its called but I know its there.
One site to check out what all is available (with ratings) is http://www.cyrket.com. You can't download from that site but at least it gives you a quick overview of what is available. There aren't any PC based options to download apps as of yet. (Unless you download an apk directly from a Developer's site) I did however hear that Google was planning on creating this functionality.

VZW Software Repair Assistant

Hey guys, my device got dissconnected during Odin flash and now I need the Verizon Software Repair Assistant in order for me to fix it, however I don't have it as the Rom I had removed the installer plug-in when connected to the device, can someone upload the .exe and contents of the VZW Software repair utility? That'd be awesome!
I had the same predicament and finally got my phone working. Your thread made me remember that I had wanted to save a copy of the files for a long time, so I made an ISO of the "drive" that pops up with the VZW software. I figured I'd make it an ISO so you can mount it or unzip it as you choose. No guarantees that it will even work if it's not run directly from the phone, but there it is nonetheless. Hope this helps!
Here's a link to the file on my Google Drive:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6jz8Bcr3sVVRkh5RFpHX3EyeDQ/view?usp=sharing
Edit: It appears that I'm unable to run the SUA installer from anywhere but directly off of the phone. I did manage to grab the location of the SUA once it was actually installed and zipped up the entire directory and put it on my GDrive. This should hopefully prove more useful for you. I have no real way of knowing if this will work, but it should be more helpful than an installer that won't even run. Let me know. Good luck!

[need repacked xap]

Hello, xda members I need An repacked xap of tapatalk.can any one share the xap if you have. Because I can't download from the store.
Thanks
:highfive:
what about this one?
Tapatalk Classic
it's available for Windows 10 Mobile, Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.
yes, it is NOT available by search from the phone (it's really weird...),
BUT it is available by the direct link.
so to download it from phone, you should open in phone web-browser link "https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9wzdncrfhwnl".
you could do i manually, or open link from email, or Skype message, or OneNote document, or whatever you prefer. and after several seconds, you should see a "Store" application open the details of this app.
unfortunately, this app can't be installed on WP8.1
p.s.: i do not have a fully unlocked WP8, so can't repack it.
not shown into store...app is not available...if you have then repack and send to me.
updated the answer. in short, try to open direct link on your phone.
sorry,
unfortunately, this app can't be installed on WP8.1
did you try it from http://www.appx4fun.com/xap/175/ ?
hey, bro . for repack xap its does not need to full unlock you phone.. only you phone is register for side load two app is enough by developer register tool... then deploy custom WPSystem.xap and copy the install directory with folder and send me its zip...
i see... but unfortunately, i do not have it installed.
but i realized why it can not be installed by direct link: the app is most likely marked as "Make product unavailable" by developer. i checked it with my "Market Purchase History" - the situation is exactly the same: it's available by direct link, but can not be installed at all.
so, sorry, can't help you.
hope the version from appx4fun.com works for you.

Unable to update system apps with .apk files from www.apkmirror.com

APK of any Samsung system app refuses to install with the message "App not installed", with the exceptions of Samsung account, Samsung Galaxy Apps, Samsung Notes and Samsung Themes.
Here are some observations:
Create shortcut to .apk file and install immediately after reboot (Did not work)
Toggle "Secure Startup" in Settings and reboot (Did not work, it worked on the S8 and S7 devices)
Installing via ADB (Failed with the following error):
HTML:
Failed to install app.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_BY_BUILDTYPE_BY_SECURITY_POLICY]
Changing the version code of the .apk file with APK Editor (Did not work, causes "App not installed. The package conflicts with an existing package by the same name" error, which is different from the "App not installed" error initially)
For a screenshot of the "App not installed" error, please look at this post by @Teknick.
Searching this error on Google returns few useful results, so this definitely needs more attention. I highly suspect this is a Samsung security policy that is preventing the install. Is there any workaround? (except rooting, of course) I wouldn't be asking this if the Samsung apps could update themselves. Right now, every Samsung app insists that "The latest version is already installed" in the About section when there's a clearly a 2-month-later newer version available. And, no, these .apk files are NOT from the S8 Oreo beta.
Seriously, no one?

And why open a new thread, there is already one, and you even posted in it.

Nowhere in the forum rules does this appear. If you don't have anything that is helpful/adds to the discussion, why post this? I started this thread because I believe this issue needs more attention like I said before, as well as providing more information for others who might have this problem as well (and might be searching for answers here).
You can install some of them after you got new official update <security/policy update>,
The signature is different for different model, even same app like device maintenance, you cannot install the apk file from phone s8,s8+
For some independent app like samsung account, samsung themes, you can upgrade with installing the apk from the website you mentioned.
If you have 3rd party recovery installed, you can do your flashable file, then update via recovery, that's the way I'm doing usually.

Hi hinnn,
Thanks for the reply! I really appreciate your info. However, I have a few clarifications:
So Samsung indeed has a security check on the system APKs now to make sure it matches the device? Is the "About" section of the system apps correct after all? I'm on the latest AQI1 firmware with August 2017 security patch, and security policy has "already been updated to the latest version". Could you clarify which update you are referring to? Lastly, what is an "independent app" that you mentioned, and which apps are "independent"? Sorry if I ask too much, I came from installing these system APKs on S7 edge, I do not know about the latest mechanisms in S8 & Note 8.
Edit: I tried installing the latest Air Command APK, which also failed with the same error. But as far as I know, S8 has no S-Pen so no Air Command, correct? This should be for Note 8 yet it didn't install

Actually, SAMSUNG didn't push through the security policy in that way, usually, we need update to next version like AQI2 or AQJ1, then you can install some of them, otherwise you will get the message saying signature conflict
An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed
For "independent app", like standalone app, samsung themes, galaxy apps, samsung account which isn't running with any particular framework , not too much.
P.S. I'm not a professional guy, probably my explainable doesn't make sense, or not correct, just for your information.
Cheers
I have the exact same problem and I didn't find any solution yet. And like you I come from the S7 Edge and I used to update my apps like this. So if someone has any suggestion I take it.

Thanks for the clarifications! After some more observations, it seems that any APK released after 26 September 2017 will not install on Samsung devices running Nougat 7.1.1 (except the 4 mentioned in the first post). However, I do not get the "An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed" error, I get "App not installed" error instead as shown by the screenshot.
However, changing the version code and re-signing the APK with APK Editor app will produce "An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed" error that you mentioned when attempting to install (which is different from the original error)
As for the "framework" concept, could you elaborate a little further? The "Secure Startup" exploit works on all Samsung devices that were not originally on Nougat, but were later updated to Nougat 7.0. (It might work on the S8 and S8+ too, although I'm not sure about that).
@100055
No problem with this as this problem is solved temp only
for example
there are certain apps which are not stable and yes 1 or 2 are stable out of 98% unstable apps as i tried all apps and saw it was unstable and caused lots of problem
from adb
put the following command and install the apk
adb install -l -r C:\Users\anand\Desktop\soundalive.apk
[use red highlighted command line only. green highlighted line is for reference only]
the app will install but if you reboot your device the update of the apk will be lost and more over the previous app update officially done by Samsung will be wiped you have to reinstall the update from the galaxy app store again
if you dont reboot then its fine being using the app of updated one for example i needed only soundalive.apk till today.. so i update it and wont reboot my device so i enjoy the updated sound quality of it

Thanks for the solution, it indeed works! But why doesn't the update stay through a reboot though? And why does adding the option -l work?
