TB-X704F firmware & gps - Thinkpad Tablet Android Development

Hi all,
I have been trying to find a custom firmware (version of Lineage ideally) that has working gps. I've so far tried Lineage 16, 17 (I know 18 has broken gps currently) and found gps non-functional. I did a recovery to try going back to Lenovo firmware but it winds up rebooting every time I try to set it up.

GPS Issue - No longer seeing any Sat in Sky

Hi Guys,
I'm still stuck on an old developer ROM android 5.0.1. (I really can't be bothered with the fuss of re-installing GAPPS and MIUI 8).
Issue is, GPS has always been flaky, but now it's not seeing any Sats in the sky at all.
Could this be an issue fixed by updating to a newer version of Android, or is my GPS Chip dead?
Thanks.
Probably something went messed up.
So, I would suggest, do a fresh install of a ROM. Any ROM... MIUI Dev / stable. Or AOSP Android 7. GPS works on all versions.

Reverting from Lineage 14.1 to Stock 6.0.1

Hello.
I had my z3 compact on MM and then I rooted it and installed the now-Discontinued ROM by Wajk Wich was pretty stable and everything works.
Then when Nougat came I tried Lineage 14.1 by tomascus Wich was all good and new things, but the hotspot didn't work.
After that I tired the https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/orig-development/oreo-unofficial-omnirom-t3696536"]Omni Oreo 8.1 by devil188[/URL] that had more features and new stuff than those two.
Of course I liked it but I'm missing the stability 6.0.6 had... Wich everything at least worked as they should.
I now have GPS issue(maximum accuracy is 1KM... Always shows a radius instead of pinpointing me, can't navigate with that in cities) and hotspot issue (can't share my internet to my other devices) and can't use the wifi (finds nothing) so I wanted to get back to 6.0.6.
I tired flashing the 6.0.6 but the flashtools said "bundle invalid" and my device was "unknown" and I had to select it manually.
I tired a lot and I always end up at nothing ... So I flashed the 6.0.6 twrp and them wiped everything and installed the flash able ZIP, and got bootloop, waited an hour and many restarts but nothing happened.
So I tired the Nougat and finally that came up, but still same issues (a bit better thought, wifi works at least).
So how to revert back to 6.0.6? Flashing the .ftf didn't worked, device is unknown... And "bundle invalid" in flash tools (tried the latest and 9.18 version).
Have anyone gone through such a process?
Any ideas?
Emma
* You can download Emma a flash tool from Sony.
* When you start Emma and it shows up a login screen, then you have to make a new file in the install folder which is called: "customization.ini" and its content: "developerworld/enable = true" After adding this file the Program should start normaly.
* Then you press volume down 5s and connect the cable to your computer.
* Emma should recognise your phone and give you a flashable stock rom.
greetings

Did you try Omni Nougat? For me everything worked on that rom, no reboots/ loops/ crashes. GPS, wifi, hotspot and bluetooth worked fine for me (I'm an everyday GPS user).

Hello, no I haven't tried Omni Nougat, only Omni Oreo and Lineage 14.1 Wich I am at now, and SliMM 6.0.1 Wich I was back then.
Thanks for the reply, can you send me the link so I can try it before reverting to MM?

Honor 9 lite camera & flashlight problems

Hi,
I'm hoping someone out there can maybe help me with this please?
I have an Honor 9 Lite (LLD-L31C432) & recently the camera & flashlight stopped working. I've tried a number of other camera apps (the P20 ported camera, various google cams etc) but none work - all either open to a black screen & shut down immediately or else just say the app has crashed, etc.
The phone is bootloader unlocked and was on stock rom (LLD-GRP2-OVS-9.1.0.121). A few months ago I switched to Openkirin's Resurrection Remix OS 7.0.1 Beta 1 ROM & all worked ok (I had the stock camera, a Google Cam version and the P20 camera all working), but due to bluetooth problems I tried the Openkirin AOSP 10 Preview 1 ROM. Had a few problems with this one so tried to return to the stock ROM and had a lot of trouble getting it working again (bootloops, etc).
Eventually got the stock firmware back on but then noticed that the camera & flash no longer worked. Since then I've returned to both the Resurrection Remix ROM and the AOSP 10 Preview 1 (& Preview 2) ROMs but the problem still remains. Is it possible that I've broken the camera when fastboot flashing or using TWRP? I 'went around in circles' so much whilst trying to get back to stock that I can't remember ever step I tried, but it would seem a bit of a coincidence if the hardware failed just around the time of me having issues returning to stock ROM.
Also, If I was to relock the bootloader is it possible to tell that it has been unlocked in the past? It was purchased May 2018 so would still be in the 2yr warranty period but I wondered if Huawei could tell it had been unlocked in the past (I also read somewhere that the warranty is invalidated just by registering to get an unlock code, even if you never actually used it? - not sure how true this is!)
Cheers!
Andy

WiFi not working after flashing custom Rom

(NOOB ALERT)
Hey
today i flashed magisk on and got root but i couldn't turn on WiFi, and right now i cant do anything with that, any help please?
(my first post sorry if did smt wrong)
Following the thread with the same problem
I'm on LG V30 H930, I've tried Lineage 16, 17.1, 18.1 and the newest Dirty Unicorns OS + Magisk 22, couldn't turn on the wifi on any of them (it just showed "looking for wifi networks" and didn't detect any)
EDIT: Apparently it's because I'd flashed PIE after downgrading to oreo to root the device and it made permanent changes to it. One way out is to use a permissive kernel but it only solves some problems.
This guide fixed it in my case (it's a different device but maybe you'll find it useful): https://aakashverma.com/guide-on-lg-v30-aosp-roms-troubleshooting-recommendations/
