I think I will get a Spigen Tough Armor but as camera display protect ? Any suggest? - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Accessories

I think I will get a Spigen Tough Armor but as camera display protect ? Any suggest?I'm planng to buy everything fr the first time on Amazon ad I prefer one packet with dislay and camera protect I was thinkig to the LK screen protector (they are 4 pieces two for camera and tw for display.
Any suggest or feedback for the LK creen protector?

The lens protector is already built into the rear cover of the phone.
All you need is a case with a raised guard around it. Keep your fingers off it and use a fry microfiber cloth to clean it occasionally.
A very low maintenance item that will last many years. Cheap to replace.

Help! Diamond Broken?

Look at this photo of my diamond...
Do you think it's broken, or it's simply the protective film that is detaching?
I'm relly upset, because I bought it just 2 months ago. What can I do?
Thank you in advance.
Lem
looks like the film. Send it back to htc
whoa...i've got the same problem but less severe. Found out about 3 weeks ago.

Interesting you brought this up. I just got mine last night and I can see that the upper corner of this is protruding higher than the rest of the piece. No wonder this happens.
i also have the same problem
Hmmm..interesting !
Jeeze you guys
Don't you recognise an immediate warranty return for pretty obvious fault !!!
LOL...do you think there is something wrong with this iPhone.....
My home button isn't alignet correctly with the rest of the phone either. As it haven't been a problem i haven't cared, but seeing these pictures, i see the risk of this problem getting worse after some time. I will contact the webshop i bought it from and see if I can get it replaced. (and referring to this thread).
I had the same problem with the top layer coming off at the corner. I rang
htc support last week and they gave me a address to send it to,
to get it repaired.
The problem is well known at htc.
I rang the shop before sending it to them and they told me it would
take about a week to get it back. I am from Austria btw.

hi to everyone
i got the same problem 4 weeks ago
fixed now
is sticker protection for screen and keypad
go to www.cnn.cn and buy 1 of the two option (clear $1.99 or mirror effect $2.99)
my is back to perfect again
hi oop this can help
ciao
mmm I think it's not the sticker protection, because stiker protection is really thinner and I took it off when I bought the diamond, leaving it only on the screen... This layer is thicker and is very well sticked to the underlying button...
Are you sure that this is the same thing happened to your diamond, gerardo66?
Thak you.

Just to let you know - I have sent the phone to the htc-serviceshop on
monday and received it repaired and in perfect condition on friday - 5 days is
pretty good I think. They changed the lower part of the touchpanel.

same problem here, its because the keypad is sitting higher then the rest.
Only on the left side ..
I have the exact same problem in mine, used a small nail file to file it a tiny bit so that the corner doesnt catch on anything
mine is also starting to happen, but i cant send it in as it is my only phone and im from the US (it will take forever to get back)...Has anyone actually peeled it all off to see what it looks like? is it stickey? is it still mirrored? are the icons on the buttons still intact?
Also, If i do end up sending it in, how long would it take if sending it from California?
the same thing happened with me. it annoyed me so i slowly peeled it off and it seemed to be a thick protective film. i took it all off and everything is fine. I ordered a set of protective films from ebay 1 for the screen and another for this keypad. so dont worry its just a protective film.

Well that is good to hear. I called HTC and they said they were going to charge me $128 bucks and it is considered physical damage.
When you peeled it off, Did the screen feel higher than the buttons, or was it all leveled nicely. Reason i am asking this is because you mentioned it was a thick film. Also, do the icons get removed a well?

lol yeah I was afraid the level of the screen would be higher but no it stays the same you can barely notice a difference. The icons stay on as well. Its exactly like peeling off a screen protector, maybe a little tougher.. but you get the idea.

Someone posted a website on this thread, however i dont know if i can trust the site. Goodbye Samsung

Hello everybody,
yesterday I contacted Samsung since my S4Active screen cracked while being firmly hold in my hand.
I grasped the phone together with my wallet and my tablet in one hand with the screen of the phone exposed to my
fingers (index and medium) and after few meeter I felt a light noise. The screen had cracked.
The mobile, at the time of purchase, was publicized as extremely resistant to any stress. In one of the promotional
video it was shown in a kindergarten and subjected to several misuses as hammering by children. I contacted the
Samsung assistance since this break was very strange and I supposed the damage being covered under warranty.
First I showed to the local support store, who delegated me to contact the national assistance, secondly I contacted them
through the website and I received the response that I attached below. (in Italian Language).
Samsung claimed that after being inspected by their expert (in one authorized center) the damage was
considered as an abuse and it is not covered by standard warranty. They explicitly claims that these are
damages due to user intervention (such as fall, smashing, unproper supply or liquid expose).
The answer is clearly a standard answer they send to everybody, since this device is liquid proof and no in depth
attention was given before giving me an answer. But what is strange is that samsung claimed the mobile to have been
inspected in an authorized center. This never happened.
Finally I would have accepted a generic answer that they do not cover any mechanical damage to the screen, but I
found quite offensive that the fact was associated to an "abuse" from my side which never happened.
I hope not to have over-ruled, I tried to share with other my experience (without offending).
Lesson taken:
* The device is as fragile as any other mobile phone
* Find a cover that protects the screen also (as they are for the standard S4)
* Do not believe the cost you pay is proportional the quality
Regards
Alberto

I Never heard a case in which screen cracked was passed in assistance without a specific dedicated insurance.
I mean, nor only Whit sammy, but Whit every company.
It's really difficult for someone demonstrate that he don't abuse phone.
Sad but true.
By the way, apart from spots, this phone cannot be defined extremely resistant.
Just a little more than some other. Mine fall from 1 meter, and now i can see the sign on plastic in the corner ...surely your glass was defective.
I understand your point.
When I decided to go for this device I was conscious of the fragility of the other, but their advertising
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5EWhZL4tEU at second 30 it was hammered by children),
convinced me about the extreme robustness of the device.
However, the screen of the S4 was pressed by me the right amount to have three objects not falling from the hand and on
the other side I was pressing the screen surface of an ipad2. For a basic physic law, they were pressed with the same
amount of force. Given the much larger surface of the latter, I may conclude one screen is much more resistant than the other.
Coming to the damage it was clear for me the evidence of a defect, since the damage was just a single line-crack on the screen
surface, much different from that classic spider-net like cracks due to fall. And for the same reason I send them a couple of
pictures that showed the damage and the integrity of the rest of the device.
I was in good faith writing to them, and, as I said, I would also have understood from samsung a generic answer like your, which
explains that for the difficulty of the assessment they have the policy to not cover any damage to the screen. However this did not
happened and they claimed immediately for an abuse from my side, which, according to them, was determined after a phantom
investigation in their authorized center.
This was not correct at all in my respect.
I made this clear in a second answer to them, and they replied that even having not assessed the device, "they just look to the pictures
I sent to them, and considered the fact that the glasses do not broke when kept in the hand" (??). However this happened to me, and
in the presence of several friends.
My conclusion hence was not motivated by the lack of support by itself, or by the fragility of the device, which as you said it could be
the same for most devices on the market. I got offended by the way they treated me, which went beyond the correct client-customer
relationships.
Thank you anyway for your comment. More or less I came to the same conclusion you did. The glass manufacturer is the same for all
these types of devices (Gorilla XX), and it does not matter what they claim on the robustness of the device, these are only marketing
claims.
The S4 Active was never advertised or rated for any more physical abuse than a standard cell phone. It's just IP67 rated.

Stuck with a Rhinoshield

Hi guys,
I have been gifted a Rhinoshield bumper case this Xmas..
But I'm facing a problem now : HOW TO REMOVE THIS THING ^^?
It's hard to put on, hard to remove and a bit too loose on th side..
Envoyé de mon ONEPLUS A3003 en utilisant Tapatalk
I have one too. Too take it off i simply apply pressure to the top right corner upwards so that the phone comes out face first. After that its downhill.
I have one too. For me it seems to really depend on temperature. If you warm up the rubber part on the front, it will become softer. Apply pressure to the back of the phone on either of the top corners and the phone should come out easily after one of the corners are out.
Which tempered glass goes well with rhino shield bumper?

OK, after hurting my fingers and popping my screen half way out i found a solution. Okay the screen doesnt came off but I did can pop it back in a little bit.
I used a hairdryer and heated the bumber up a lot!
After it I did take it off!
Same thing here, this bumper really is too tight in my opinion.
I also heard several cracking noises when I tried to take it off, I did it exactly like they show it in their video tutorials...
i see the problem when people having a difficult to open this case is they are using thier fingers.
i just use towel or any cloth to cover up top right corner, then apply a little by little pressure by the bottom of your hand (not fingers). i use the skin around palm.
it will just flap opened. no heat or anything else. needed
And for those who terrified the screen will break, it will not.

**** grammar correction (german) try to write words in caps
I want to couple my rhinoshield with either of these two:
1. Gadgetshieldz screen protector with front and back covered
2. Gadgetshieldz screen protector on front and a dbrands on back.
http://www.gadgetshieldz.com/oneplus-3-screen-protectors-covers-cases.html in case gadgetshieldz is a new name to you
Also I haven't still bought the rhinoshield bumper but my planning to do so and I want to fully cover my phone so has to prevent it from further debts or scratches
so far the best method to take off the RhinoShield! Thanks

Google translate helped..
your device goes green blink and restarts every few hours, including random freezing and some lags.
this is due to water damage usually, and your device freezes and restart as precaution to prevent hardware damage, try to dry your device first with some drying chemicals (not rice, use proper material) by leaving your device with the chemicals for a night or 2 I a sealed plastic bag to drag out the device.
if above did not help, then I am afraid that your device got a hardware issue, it is 100% not a software issue.

guys, I am sending this from experience, I had a swim with the device doing underwater test. and when I went half a meter it went alright no issues at all. but when I went 1.5m deep it was foggy and full of water and couldn't do anything.
what I did. I bought calcium chloride moisture absorber, and opened the sim tray for air relief, and put the phone with the absorber in sealed plastic bag with reduced filled air, put it in the oven on defrost temperature (below 55C) for 15 min's, then kept it in the bag for 2 nights in the oven (to keep stable heat as much as possible), all the fog on the camera lenses gone, charging returned to normal, phone doesn't freeze anymore, and doesn't restart. no more green blinking and random shut down. returned as brand new.
I believe you have washed or water damaged your devices from what I understand.
an advice, take off the sim tray when you dry out your device because the device is sealed, so nothing comes in or go out. you'll need air relief. talking from experience, because when I had this issue, in first night I did not take off the sim tray and next morning the device still have moisture inside like I did nothing. but when I took off the tray, next day I can see significant change in moisture quantity, 3rd day it was all gone.

putting it in the oven of course not recommended and could melt down the internals. you know copper got very low melting down temperature. so it is absolutely dangerous. but I put it in the oven below 55C. the device would turn off on its own at 55c saying over heating, that is why I took that temperature as highest I can go for. and all it does is helping in speeding up process, so if you can not to use your device for 1 more night, then do it instead of putting it in the oven.
ALSO, MAKE SURE IT IS AN OVEN,, NOT MICROWAVE!!!!!!!!! some people mixed up and said, (it is the same thing) while it is 100% NOT, and they blew up their microwave and phone at the same time . be careful, I said oven, NOT MICROWAVE.
it has been 3-4 months now, not a single struggle since then. (thanks God, fingers crossed)
Also, one more thing, I am 100% sure that it happens most of the time if you use certain apps that uses certain sensors that are damaged by water, (even if sometimes it works, some other it wouldn't, a tiny drop could be sitting between short circuiting or not, and a slightest move in a certain direction could short circuit and cause issue), most of the time water drops accumulate around sensors that are closer to glass, screen or back cover because they are colder than other parts, because they are more to the ambient temperature than battery and main board. Mine was causing trouble whenever camera is used (especially ultra wide lens) and gyroscope sensor.

the principle is moisture absorber (a proper one, and there are different chemicals, that was what I found local and in stock).

Question Which Lens Protective Case?

Hi All,
What are you using to protect the phone and the lens? Any suggestion?
I am looking for a case able to protect the lens from scratches, I don't feel comfortable to lay the lens down on surfaces using the native case we received with the phone.
Thank you!
Hello,
what i feel is protection is inversely proportional to the Quality of photographs you take. They are best as they are and if you want some real protraction then use a thick bumped hard-case for your phone, as hard-case will take all the impact and will break without passing the force to phone.
This is all what I think,
Thank you.

So you believe that partially covering the lens pack will prevent the lights from reaching the sensors somehow, right?
Good point
