Question Version Chinese Notifications - OPPO Find X3 Pro

Guys, I have the Chinese version and I'm having problems with notifications. Sometimes the phone shows the notification, and sometimes it doesn't. Anyone with this problem?

I've got Mars version and I have same problems

I think thats the bug of all chineese version devices with Color OS

will it be? Some people say that any Chinese version is always bad with notifications. What do you think about it?

Always on display

So. We have it. But do you think Xiaomi Will customize it like Samsung or Google!? I sure want notification icons on there.
Skickat från min MI 8 via Tapatalk
Well i think they will, i already noticed that i have a facebook messenger icon on AOD since flashing china dev rom.
I don't think we have any customization for always on display atm. Besides, mine got turn off after 5 or 10mins, not sure why but it's a bit annoying...

I've the same problem with my Mi 8. I've the official Global Version of the phone with MIUI Global 9.5 Stable (9.5.13.0).
I've tried anything I could think of so far (turned off even all the energy saving options) but nothing will stop the Display from going completely dark after some minutes.
Can anyone help?
Ok. The phone got 2 updates since reporting the issue and is now running 9.6.7.0 and with this version the issue is gone. Now the Always on Display is always on. Fine.
You have also notifications on AOD?
When i was on miui 9 official global rom, i've notifications for email, sms and whatsapp.
Then I've installed miui10 xiaomi.eu rom, but with this version I've lost notifications....

Same here, with the same story. Still no solution.
Yes, with the new Version 9.6.7.0 I've notification icons on the AOD. It's just the small Icon for e.g. Whatsapp or Google-mail.
So no info about the content or the sender of the new mail or message, but at least there is the info in which app there is new content.

Dark/black mode

Hi simple question is there anyway to force dark/black mode across the board including gmail whats app etc. I am on miui 10 eu and there is a dark mode for system apps etc but not everything is dark.
For other apps we have to wait to get in the trend. Gmail I believe is on the way to get dark mode. It depends on the developers.
No it's not possible right now. Wait for Android 10 for system wide dark node.

I'm already on Android miui 10.
Miui 10 is the version of miui. The current Android ver is 9.
I see well it is a bit confusing they should keep in line with the Android build and name the skin accordingly. Anyhow I did see a video somewhere on YouTube where the person used a setting to theme everything into black including the apps but I can't find it anymore.

Question Notification doesn't show for certain apps

Recently purchased a mi 11 ultra, and I immediately noticed a few problems with it. Namely, the notifications seemed to be simply not working for some apps. Chinese apps like Wechat still work fine, but "western" apps such as discord and reddit simply do not show any notification at all. I tried some simple troubleshooting, and I enabled autostart, checked all the notifications in the settings, and even disabled miui battery saving options, but to no avail, still discord and reddit was silent. I'm trying my best to avoid a factory reset, so I would appreciate any help I can get. For reference, I am currently using miui 12.5.4, and a chinese rom of the system.
Hi I had a similar problem, notably with Acalendar, my favourite calendar app. Furnishing the app with every permission, autostart and as much battery as it likes did not help.
In Acalendar, there is a notification test option. This did not work and I got an error message that the notification was blocked, but Acalendar did not know why which didn't help much.
In Acalendar, there's and option in setiings/notifications called Sticky Date. I read this was a fix for some Huwaei phones, turned it on and now notificatons work.
I'm not sure I understand why this works, but hope it helps a little.
Cheers
Steve
ps I'm on 12.5.4 China Stable too

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I don't see an option for "sticky dates" for apps such as discord or reddit. On the topic of using chinese rom, do you have a solution for changing the app search bar to change search engines? it seems to only have tou tiao, baidu search and sogou as options by default, and I would be delighted to know if there's a way to change it.
Hi yes I realise the advice was for Acalendar only - sorry it didn't help more. I've updated to EU weekly now, so can't check any Chinese ROM features.
Cheers

hello all
Someone was able to resolve the issue with standby notifications? (
It's because of battery optimization, just turn it off for the app that has the problem. If you don't see that setting, try the app 'Hidden Settings for MIUI' from the play store. Make sure the app is allowed to run in background as well.

General Official ColorOS 12 - general discussion

Hi Guys,
Creating this topic to discuss about your experience with OFFICIAL (NOT BETA) ColorOS 12.
Currently there is available:
- C.33 firmware for Global version
- C.36 firmware for CN version
Up till now I noticed few things:
- dual clock on Lock screen shows sometimes the same time value (need to unlock/lock screen to see the correct time)
- power button sometimes does not turn off the alarm clock (it puts the alarm instead in snooze mode)
- battery life is noticeably better
- phone seems snappier but it might be a result of factory reset just before upgrade and after upgrade.
- back button not working issue is fixed (at least did not occur on this version)
- android auto crashed once or displays some strangely resized icons (this has never happened on COS11)
- sometimes notifications disappear completely from notification drawer
In general it seems quite stable version - no major issues.

If I'm not wrong the stable is only out in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. China maybe too?

Phone from Thailand. Based in Poland.
I got the Chinese version, and live in Brazil, they only released the 12 when the official version came out and also a few days later, but today was the first time i got the update at the same day it was released. You can update Chinese to C38.
Now about the OS itself, the only "problem" i have is that the drawer isn't affected by changes to the layout, it only affects the home screen. But since now you can set other launchers as default, just install your own. And yeah the phone seems faster somehow.

I was using the beta (applying through VPN France) and this morning I upgraded to C.37. It doesn't say beta nowhere anymore and its probably the stable official version for global European models.
Has anyone been able to get the stable through a vpn?
Yes, from Germany with VPN France.
Yes it is stable

So far I think the stable version is only aviable for people who took part in the beta. This is also my case. I got an upgrade from beta to stable today using the french vpn I used in November to apply for the beta. I think right now they are not offering the beta anymore. I read also from people who's beta didn't get approved for more than 10 days and will have to wait until the stable is aviable to everyone

Question Installing Indonesia ROM with NFC on Globlal model without NFC.

Is there a problem if I install Indonesian ROM with NFC on Globlal model without NFC?
Will the phone get hard pricked or something?
P.S I change ROMs using miflashtool.

The phone will not die, but you will have problems with the software, such as not recognizing the camera after taking a picture, the flashlight does not work, you can not change the Hz of the screen ...
This happened with Xiaomi.eu a long time ago, since they use the base ROM for spesn (the NFC variant) and had not made the necessary modifications to work in spes (the non-NFC variant).
I did it. And nothing bad will happen. What NeoSDAP says about the camera is bullsh*t, the camera works fine.
Look out the thread I created about the process and the result:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/is-it-safe-to-flash-indonesian-rom-over-a-global-rom.4534777/
Don't install the version with Android 12, I tried it some time ago it's messed up: weird default configurations and options missed. I saw there's an update for it, that probably fixed that but still, do it under your own risk.
I'm still using the lastest Indonesian ROM with Android 11. Except for the fact that apps like Netflix can't be downloaded from the Play Store because of the lack of Play Protect certification, everything else works like a charm. For apps you can't download from the Play Store like Netflix, you can download them from sites like APKPure and they work, so it's not really a problem either.
Good luck.

It also has the Mi Calendar app instead of Google's and the Mi Browser (besides Chrome). It also has the "App Vault" option for the left screen (-1 says the Launcher), not only Google Discover like the Global ROM. And the best thing about it for me it's that it's an official ROM. It's not a custom ROM that who knows what the hell was modified in it. I've using it for months and everything works fine.

NFC is hardware dependent. If your phone doesn't have the required hardware, NFC won't work. This is similar to FM radio.
I wouldn't suggest flashing ROM for another region on your phone, especially if your bootloader is locked. If you unlock your bootloader, it will give you a lot of flexibility and ability to troubleshoot problems.

So, you hate the apps just because they're from Xiaomi?? Why did you buy a Xiaomi phone then?? If you love Google so much, you should've bought a Pixel phone.
