Hi all,
I'm wondering if anybody has experienced this issue.
Yesterday i charged my phone up after the the battery drained. The phone booted up normally until the display dimmed slightly??? The display is now as though its in power save mode lacking the lovely vivid appearance. Greens and reds seem dull??? Any ideas. I am considering trying to reload official firmware. But before i do i would like to see if anybody else has experienced this issue.

Yesterday I clean flashed the new firmware (apg2 XAR) for tab s2 (2016).
After an hour of use the screen started to flicker, shifting colors everywhere on the screen.
After a reboot the flicker was gone but not sure if that was a "fix". If it happens again I will try to capture the screen.
Nonetheless I wanted to ask if anyone had something similar. Can that be a hardware issue? Or a software one? Maybe a graphic driver problem?

Well if a reboot fixed it then you're good to go.
Fixed with latest stable global update
I change and change and change, try to rotate the screen and after some tries it goes well lol
Hope they fix it anyway.

will the notification icons appear next to the clock if i lower the screen size? like whatsapp, mail ect ?

Nope! Why is that?
I still have the same problem, upgrade to version 9.6.4.0 and the notch got bigger. Restore factory, went well but a day later returned. If it is annoying

I've also observed that something went wrong also with my notch, but after seeing your thread it is clear that I am also facing this issue. Also on 9.6.4 and just wondering if it happens also on orher versions, eu and chinese rom?
Well I have it in Hong Kong region to have the facial unlocking. I'm from Mexico and I buy it on AliExpress. I do not know who has the rom eu, I hope with miui 10 fix that

Seem fixed in global stable 9.6.7.0
Still some pixel for notification bar going below the actual notch, but at least fixed the bad designed notch issue.

I just bought my Mi 9 yesterday and I have some really annoying problems with those Notifications... Like many people I don't get notifications properly shown in the status bar, which I solved somehow with that: https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi-9/themes/app-notification-fix-mi-9-t3918964
That's nice so far, even though it does not work 100% of the time.
But whats really a pain in the ass is, that I dont get notifications on the lock screen either and also no LED notifications. Also while charging the LED isnt working. That means somehow the phone is unusable for a big part of it's purpose right? Nothing helped
Do I miss something or is everyone just accepting this huge bug and no one knows to to anythin about it? No workaround, no solution?
I even think about returning the phone. How is it possible this phone gets such great reviews and test results everywhere if it has such MAJOR problems?
Additionally I can't save pictures taken with the camera if it's opened via shortcut (double press AI button).. someone already mentioned that here and didn't get any help...
If anyone has informations, solutions or workaround for those problems, I'd be super thankful
Edit: Im on MIUI Global 10.2.24 and I'm using the POCO Launcher...
I have the same problems.
Led blinks only in white colour for a short time and that's it. Very annoying and I also don't get icons in status bar.
Is it really just a official bug in the global ROM?

Hello I have the global GT2 version and noticed when receiving notifications the phone screen will wake and be displayed. However after unlocking the phone and locking again the notification bar on lockscreen will be blank. If anyone has any solutions or fixes it would be greatly appreciated as I am liking the phone so far but this issue is a deal breaker andI would prefer not to have to send it back if possible.
