How to enter twrp ? (very noob question) - Samsung Galaxy M21 Questions & Answers

title says it all

You should use Power Key + Vol Up. Also you can use adb and type following command "adb reboot recovery" without quotes

From oneui 3 you need a usb plugged into a pc or a tv or another phone.
Keep the usb connected and use the volume up + power button combo

To checking it just boot into bootloader mode. Turn off device. Connect to PC by USB cable and press and hold Power + Vol(-).

i think that wrong .. you need to just hold vol. down and connect usb to go to bootloader.. and to recovery hold vol. up and connect usb

only powered off ...
when i wanna flash something I always power phone off then i have ready cable in laptop then am holding desired vol + or - btn and just plug usb to the phone ...
vol +and vol - plus usb cable will do the same as 3Button method... auto update from stock recovery... vol- plus usb cable goes to fastboot and vol+ and usb cable goes to stock recovery...
How to check if your bootloader is unlocked:
-Open a cmd console
-Type: adb reboot-bootloader
-Type: fastboot oem get-bootinfo
-Done
There is usually more than one way to do something, just because some one does it slightly differently from you doesn't make them wrong or make you right...you are both wrong and both right...
Seriously guys...please stop the arguing and name calling!

[Help] Bricked Lumia 1020 - Blank Screen - USB Undetected

My 1020 got bricked while flashing through WPInternals.
In the middle of the flashing the USB got disconnected and after that I have blank screen. The power button pressing does make phone vibrate. Also soft reset combination makes vibration. However I am not getting anything on my laptop on USB connection. No connection notification. Nothing on device manager. I tried combinations to get it detected but nothing works.
So the question is, Is there any way I can blindly send force flashing to one of the USB port and make it happen ?
JTAG is the only option ?
same me hichic

Hello,
try this: power off/reset and power on holding vol-up key. You should get a flash-and-cogwheel sign on your display. If so, you cna reflash your (valid) .ffu file using PhoneImageDesigner/Lumia Flash Tools (->google!).
Are you sure your USB cable or port is not broken?
Best whishes,
Joachim

Okay, I have already tried that, since the USB got disconnected during boot loader flash, it does not display anything on the screen when I start with power button or reset combo. It only vibrates.

I have changed the cable too(USB flex cable of my lumia and USB cable too), It does charge battery, does keep flashing the start button once in a while when the cable is connected. I am sure USB is working fine. But not getting detected in PC.

P9 Hard Bricked - No recovery, no fastboot

Hi,
First i'm sorry for my bad english.
I've a P9, and i tried to update to Nougat. But something went wrong, and now, i can't boot my phone, no recovery no fastboot. When i plug it on my pc, my phone is recognize as "USB SER". How to unbricked ?
Hold volume down + power for 15 seconds, hold it even longer to try to get into fastboot mode. Was the battery low? Maybe you need to charge the phone up.
My phone is charged.
I tried your solution, but didn't work..

It only boots to fastboot from adb shell or if i plug it in my computer and hold vol down + power if i dont plug it in it will not boot into fastboot.
I don't have access to fastboot or recovery. I have black screen, when i try all combinations. When it's plugged, it's only recognized as " USB SER "

Hold Vol Down while inserting a USB cable connected to your computer, assuming you have one.

Hey mate, did you find a solution, same thing happened to me ... the only thing I get from the phone is "USB SER" ... never unlocked, rooted or flashed my phone. Could be a hardware failure?

Could somebody find firmware with testpoint for eva-l09 ?
Hey mate I managed to revive my phone ... it had to be something hardware related. I opened it up, disconnected the battery cable for a couple of minutes, reconnected and re-screwed everything and it turned on. I didn't even lose any data.

Why would you wanna go into download-mode?
No: your phone is NOT defective, only there's a new procedure to get your phone in download-mode:

I can get to it via recovery on my Note 9,I have no explanation as to why you're having issues.
Perhaps try the method given in post #2 of this thread.
New method now for Note 9 download mode. Power off, hold Bixby+Vol Down and connect USB cable to PC to trigger it.
Can't boot into download mode too....
Australia ver....

Yip, this works...but tricky combo to hold down Bixby and Vol Down while plugging into USB power...I almost took my device in for fixing because I just could't for the life of me boot into Download mode after encountering the dreaded custom binary error on trying to boot up...

Cannot boot to download mode after the latest update

Hi all,
I've updated my Galaxy A71 to the latest update included with AP patched by Magisk Manager..
and then i found that the download mode is gone.
All i see is exactly like this:
https://cutt.us/wuxzj
Except for the device status in the bottom "unlocked" for me.
was this caused by the update or I've screwed something ?!!
any help would be appreciated , thank yall.
could you please try fastboot command? with fastboot binary?
the same thing happens to me and whatever i choose in the bootloader screen doesnt make a difference

Not that I'm aware of sorry ... You are connecting cable to a powered on PC or laptop? Holding down both volume up and volume down whilst connecting cable ?

Also they need to hold the power button
On the newer samsung phones you need to power off your phone hold down volume up and volume down and insert your charging cable in your phone make sure the cable is inserted in a pc or a charger.
