[KERNEL] [2.6.29.6] [Flashable-.zip] [LAGFIX][BFQ][Oc][Uv] #3 "Patches 'O Klick"
So after countless hours of failure, I finally found my issue. It was an embarrassing one, but O well. What we have here is a fully stable kernel for the Vibrant. I have spent many hours on this and have been running it on my vibrant for some time now. Be sure to read the changelog for full info. At 1.2 Ghz I was getting MFLOPS scores pushing 10 MFLOPS! Performance is surely nice on this one. Another thing to note is the undervolting on my kernel. This will give optimal battery life for users. So, please enjoy, and post and errors with a logcat
This is compiled for the stock ROM. It will work on FrankenTwiz, Bionix, and many ROMs. Let me know what ROMs you try it on, and what ones it works best with.

This would be my first time using an oc/uv kernel. I know to get the oc, I have to go into setcpu and put the scaling to conservative, which I've already done. Ran quadrant, and got a score of 2790!
Great kernel!

ok ima give it a shot and report back
This is gonna sound noob but here it goes. I've never done research on what exactly kernels are and this is all new to me.
This new kernel I can flash like Rom will over clock my device to 1.2ghz or will it give me the option to? Can overclocking hurt my device in the long run?
Does this come with tools to over and underclock when I need to?
Any other info would be great. I'm on Eugene Franklin twis v2, no voodoo or lagfix yet.
Any other info would be awesome.

Works awesome on Frankin-Twiz update 1
buttery smooth
Works with Bionix
Installed, booted fast. Thanks for your hard work.
Good to see you back, King! Do you think this will work ok on Eugene's Hybrid R3? Also, I know some Vibrants (like mine) didn't like jacs OC kernel. Same issues here, or did the undervoltage kernel fix it?

Can we have info on how to revert this kernal back to stock if needed?
Very nice, glad to see another person compiling Vibrant kernels. Have you considered including the voodoo beta4 in one of your future builds?
Working fine on Vibrant 9
Will this work with a lagfix already installed?
What does the bluetooth patch do? I'm hoping improved A2DP quality, please say its so

Yea thats awesome.
Two:
Will this also work on aosp?
Would the system be stable near 800? Ryt now 748 seems too stable..
Edit:No aosp.(darn!)
Lesicnik1 tested the 800Mhz.He said it s stable
unluckily my cpu does not support oc (manufacturing issue, i think) so i have not been able to test
I think you are going to confuse some people.
SecureFlag ON (S-ON, default for Wildfire) prevents from writing to
Code:
/system
It is achievable, though, through recovery as it modifies that flag in NVRAM.
Secure Flag OFF(S-OFF) gives us access to the system partition even when running the OS. I wouldn't advise pushing that file while running the OS, anyway.
In short, you need S-OFF to push a file and you can safely flash a package with out S-OFF.
EDIT: OP, please note Sense ROM is not entirely equivalent to 2.2.1 ROM on BUZZ. There are ROMs with Sense ported for 2.3. I advise towards putting Android version in the topic.

It should. Unless optimization for Sense screws AOSP somehow, which I doubt. It's kernel for 2.2.1, remember.

i m speaking about htc-dev unlock(s-on)
while, maybe, you are speaking about the old unrevoked unlock which is s-on
edit: @gobz: no, you can also add 1ghz or 4ghz but the cpu will not support it.You can try 900Mhz
Usually if a cpu is a good cpu, it will supports oc up to 800-1Ghz
for ex.
my Desire s is 1Ghz(stock), but it can be oced to 1.8-2.0Ghz if the cpu is strong enough. But every phone is different, even if the model is the same

Bootloader/HBOOT is something entirely different from boot.img. Former is tied to the hardware and later loading the proper OS (as far as I understand the process). Latter, boot.img, refers Linux kernel image.
Recovery, even 2.5 should give you full access to the devices system memory that you can mount.. Hence, you can boot into Recovery, mount /system, fire up adb shell on your PC and easily push a file to that partition. With S-ON.
Plus, how do you figure we had custom kernel flash packages before we had S-OFF solution (AFAIR).

Seems to be one of the best kernel
As title say, it's true. I installed this kernel o cm11.pollux10072014 and everything is just great. I was made my root with a help by xzdualrecovery. Put some mods as a beats 2.0 and voilà... Everything is a perfect. CPU is ticking on 1728 MHz with a governor INTERACTIVE and GPU is on 627 MHz and the governor is PERFORMANCE. I'm using 3c toolbox pro, formerly called Android Tuner to set all clocks, governors and build.prop and the stuff include OOM, SD Card boost, Entropy etc. etc. So now, I have in a new Antutu benchmark (5.1) score about 25500 points. So big thanks to the developer for this great kernel. Have a great time, Peter :good:

yup you can even try it with 292 because it has anykernel
Nope, only this one.
I faced the reboot after gpu voltage change only when using v7 intelli-plug.
Will try and report back. Btw is this intelli-plug or auto-smp? Or both?
And it doesn't seem to have init.d enabled is it?

it has intelliplug and i think initd has to enabled in ramdisk so flash a kernel which has initd enabled then flash my kernel over it it should work because my kernel does not replace ramdisk
Can You make One for Lollipop ?

my cm version in the other thread should compatible with lolipop you can try it before that delete libril.so from the kernel zip

What I did was reflash existenz rom and the included stock kernel which has init.d support, but then when flashing this kernel I get error executing updater binary. I think it has to do with the stock Sony ramdisk cuz when flashing on hodorkernel it works fine. Although hodorkernel has no init.d support xD
Anyway thanks a lot for this!
hi
so happy to see your strong kernel for stocks
can we use it for stock bases roms same as existenz v 3 ?
thank you

yup it is compatible with all the stock roms based on .283 available on xda but you can even try with .292

But why I'm getting the error executing updater binary on stock kernel and not on hodorkernel?

Does any kernel version of hodor gives binary error

U mean flashing this kernel on top of anykernel version of hodorkernel, or do u mean flashing hodorkernel anykernel version on top of stock kernel?

Gives same error.

Flashed lightning for stock, failed, after that flashed anyhodorkernel, failed also.
Guess it has something to do with the special unpacking tools needed for stock boot.img.
Maybe u can try build normal boot.img based on stock 283 FW?

Ok then I will make a boot IMG

Ok cool thnx. Could you eventually build it with auto-smp? Cuz on v7 and v8 cm version the intelli-plug builds give me the same reboot as I described in the bug report section.
Work fine on Tornado ROM V.2,.thanks dude,,Great Kernel!,
Gives error on existenz v3

info kernels
Stock Mod :
same as stock kernels
add TTL support
add wireguard support
enabled ThinLTO
Stock Mod 2 :
same as stock kernels
add TTL support
add wireguard support
can compiled using gcc 11
QuantumKiller-N:
Underclock CPU Big cores/cortex-a75 freq minimal from 850Mhz to 500Mhz
just normal kernel
80Hz kernel timefrequency
QuantumKiller-L:
Underclock CPU Big cores/cortex-a75 freq minimal from 850Mhz to 500Mhz
Undervolt CPU
just normal kernel
100Hz kernel timefrequency
Neutrino-<CPUCODE><GPUCODE>
CPUCODE for CPU type
GPUCODE for GPU type
higher kernel timefrequency
Detail about CODE things
L = CPU : same as stock kernel
X = GPU : same as stock kernel
Y = GPU : same as merlin (1.000Mhz) and for lancelot only
Z = GPU : Overclock to 1.018Mhz
example about code
Neurtino-LZ
L for Stock CPU frequencies

Simple Low Memory Killer (SLMK)
Fewer applications in the background when playing games
cannot be tweaked
can be optimized on source kernel side !!
Android Low Memory Killer (ALMK)
can load more apps at once even while playing games
can be tweaked
can be optimized on source kernel side !!
Stock Low Memory Killer (Stock LMK)
same as stock kernel
cannot be tweaked
im not sure if it can be tweaked on kernel side or not,but maybe nope xD
Some QnAQ: good for Battery Backup?
A: Stock LMK is good enough for it, but u can try SLMK one
Q: good for gaming?
A: between SLMK and ALMK, depends on ur usage
Q: Why it has 3 types?
A: im just give an option to u
Q: what is best slmk?
A: try one from all of them for a few days first + same build date
Q: what if is it wrong?
A: im not pro, im just tell u about it based my own experience

wow, this is so good thanks to this.
additional question: are these kernel applicable to any custom tom or miui only? android q or r only? do my devices need rooted for this to work? or the overclock one only needs to be rooted?

I'm not sure about custom roms.
You need to try that.
