Hi everyone,
hope you´re all doing well.
Usually i don´t post alot questions here but i don´t know any other place.
I´ve got a xperia z3 compact from a german seller claiming it as new and unused, but no box and only charger included.
I wonder where they´re coming from...
Well it turned out like nfc totally won´t do anything.
Can´t be enabled at all!
Don´t know about the rest of it, seems like gps also doesn´t work but have to test it in more detail.
It ´s 100% stock, non unlocked, non rooted or tampered in any form.
What i tried so far:
- Running official sony companion software from two different computers to try repairing the firmware.
It failes every time.
-Next attempt was the not so familar flashtool for sony devices.
Downloaded the latest firmware for germany and italy aswell as russian from this thread
None of them will flash, all exit with the same error:

My xperia Z1 (C6902) is soft bricked.
I flashed MIUI7 (4.4.4) via twrp but i lost recovery. I was rooted with usb debugging on and tried different methods to install recovery (fastboot, miui updater, twrp manager app) but unable so, i tried to revert back in stock rom by flashing stock firmware 14.3.A.0.757 via flashtool but stuck into flashing data message.
Waited for more than an hour and thirty minutes but nothing happening. After removing usb and tried to on, it appears SONY logo than following message.
"this software update failed. make sure your phone is connected to computer and try again".
Did i missed something or i am not doing correctly??
Please help me!!!

Download a newer ftf and try to flash it again

Looks like your .ftf is corrupted or something. Try downloading another version

try dwlding another FTF and reinstal flashtool with drivers
Seems like a ftf issues for me. Download your region firmware and create a new ftf properly, and then do a clean flash.
I had to reload each of the Xperia Z3 + E6533 fw and tried each version FlashTool (older to newest) but still no flash is on your phone. Win or defective in us? Driver FlashBoot Flash modd still full! .Dien His voice is now also available in Backup TWRP and running Android 6.0.1 version and have root 32.2.A.5.11 were unlocked bootloader, and with the full backing DRM key. , But can not flash through FlashTool. Sad! .Mong Help his brother.! Thanks .....

Try to reinstall Flashtool, just put the version 0.9.18.5 or 0.9.18.6

I could be wrong but after LOS is better to flash the official firmware.
Hi!
I have a big problem with my phone. I tried to restore a TWRP backup but it failed to complete.
Error occured few seconds after restoring (can't tell what part of the backup was successfuly restored, TA, SYSTEM, KERNEL...).
Now I cannot flash any FTF file. My phone starts with SONY logo but doesn't go further. Screen goes black (backlight) during few seconds and then automatically reboots.
I tried to flash different FTF with different Flashtool but no luck, always got the same error in flashtool :

After trying different flashtool versions, different adb and fastboot drivers, multiple ROMs, I have finally found the right combo (in my case) :
- installed drivers from flashtool 0.9.13 (but didn't use flashtool since it always failed to write ta, kernel or system partitions...)
- installed adb and fastboot 1.4.3
- used xflasher(https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/dev-xflasher-command-line-flasher-t2986634)
- flashed ROM 10.6.A.0.454 Generic UK (https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/stock-rom-xperia-z-c6603-10-6-0-454-t3127499) in this order (1 xflasher.bat per file) :
1 - boot delivery
2 - partition-image.sin
3 - amss_fs_1.sin
4 - amss_fs_2.sin
5 - amss_fs_3.sin
6 - cache.sin
7 - elabel-C6603-row_201310171741.1_10.6.A.0.454.sin
8 - rpm.sin
9 - system.sin
10 - userdata.sin
11 - kernel.sin
I didn't flash fotakernel.sin (not really important since I was able to boot, root the phone, install dual recovery and restore a full backup from TWRP, including FOTAKernel)
Then, my phone started to boot and went over the SONY logo screen
Thanks to all the contributors on XDA. I spent almost 3 days to browse this forum in order to find the right way to get my phone back to life.

How did you get VID and PID of your phone? When I started xflasher.exe it created xflasher.bat and inside is written VID:0FCE and PID:ADDE, but when I try to put this manual on the console I get this: No usb device with vid:0x0fce pid:0xadde !
