Hello! <noob warning> - Introductions

Hello everybody! I'm a proudly owner of a Xiaomi Raphael. Since my first android phone, back in the middle ages, I always asked myself: "why do I have to pay for something that is actually not mine? Why someone else have to decide how I'm intended to use a product that I've paid for and when it's too old?" Now, since I've discovered that my two years old phone will not receive any future android updates, I've decided to mod it starting from scratch with zero knowledge about the matter. I'm here to learn and ask a lot of maybe silly but never stupid questions.

@UncivilStar
Welcome to XDA, and I hope you'll find all the support and assistance you require. Enjoy your times here, and if you believe you need assistance by the moderators team do not hesitate to contact the moderator of your desire or simply use the report function.
As far as I believe to remember, the Raphael equals to the Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro. If I correct then this forum might be interesting for you:

Hello Everyone!!

I'm a newbie entering into the world of XDA. I have heard about XDA many times but never sort of showed a special interest towards this but suddenly i thought of installing a custom rom in my device redmi k20 pro. This is where this forum came into my interests and helped me a lot.
Now, I'm very much into this freedom in the Android, I'm trying out every new rom in my device all thanks to the developers and all the members in this forum and so I will make sure that I follow all the forum rules, be friendly with everyone and help all to my limits.
Thankyou!

Question [CLOSED] Why not a dedicated Xiaomi 11T forum?

Some of the admins can please create a individual forum for the second Xiaomi phone in 11T's line?
I have buy the simple Xiaomi 11T version with the Dimensity 1200 5G SOC and when i come to forum.xda-developers.com I was surprised to not find a dedicated forum for this device.

Seconded.
There's been multiple requests for the Xiaomi 11T in the forum-request thread.
There's also no Telegram groups (at least English speaking ones) and it's really difficult to find any information on the device in general. All searches lead to Xiaomi 11T Pro.
I wonder if the device is too new or people just hate the Mediatek chipset so much that they don't even want to talk about it?
Anyone with insight, would sure love to hear your thoughts on this topic.
Me personally, I'm just gonna get rid of the thing if there's no other OS than MIUI in development. As stock, it's like a worse version of my old Redmi Note 10 Pro.
I don't have any problems with the device itself, it's ok overall, but more info, apps to share, functions that we can enable, disable, etc. A place where we can exchange info about this device in this configuration.
I can understand the doubts of some users, even developers about Mediatek chipset, no problems with that, you don't like it - don't buy or use it, but don't ban it from such a big forum.
The ROM itself can be very easy customized to fit your needs, in less than a weak of ownership I modify it without any problems, i removed all the unnecessary apps from it, removed all the adds, customized the look with the use of Nova Launcher third party app, all is great, it works flawless, very smooth experience, I don't regret that I keept the difference of money between 11T and 11T PRO.
Why not use this thread?
I got my 11T one week ago. Bought it cheap on black friday. Have not decided if I should keep it or not. It is a rather good (but boring) phone. Screen, performance, battery life and the main camera seems good. Haptics is good but not as strong as on Mi 11 and Mi 10T Pro. The phone feels similar to Poco F3 in many ways.
@flipp0 Because it use other SOC from Mediatek, not a Qualcom... this is why we need a dedicated forum.
It's not a good idea to mix the two devices, when developers will start making custom ROM's available it's easy for inexperienced users to use the wrong one or to make demands on the wrong one.
Also, developers will be more involved if they will find on xda-developers a forum dedicated to post their work.

I think you mean a dedicated "11T forum". I agree with you, it should be a specific forum for 11T.
My proposal is to use this thread for 11T if XDA will not create a specific forum for 11T.
@flipp0 I have edited, sorry for the confusion I'm not a native English speaker.

Hello, I own a phone that I want to root

Hello guys,
I own a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro and I want to unlock the bootloader and root it without losing any data.
But I can't find a method that works for me, I have a Qualcomm processor, and no method works.
I also don't want to buy any software, so don't tell me that I need things like unlocktool or TFP because they are paid.
I really want to unlock and root it without losing any data.
I also have a laptop (Acer Swift 3, to be exact) so the "no PC required" methods are not necessary.
Can you please help me?
And I am super new to here, I registered minutes ago, and I has wandering, how to post questions/threads to the "Redmi Note 9"
device topic or other places relevant
to Redmi Note 9.
And also, it is funny that the CPU in my phone's CPU has more cores ( Cores) than my laptop's CPU (AMD Ryzen 3 4000 Series, Cores)
Some more info about my about my phone:
Android 11
Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G (Octa-core Max2.32GHz)
MIUI 12.5.8 Stable

You can't move, lock or delete a thread; you always require moderator assistance for these kind of actions. If you need this support in future, just use the report button.
What you can do is to edit your posts...
And I've moved your other thread to the correct device forum.

Ok so if I want to move, delete or lock my thread I need to press the report button on my post and write what I want to do in the report reason.
Is that right?

Absolutely correct. And one of the next available moderators will handle your request. However, regarding thread deletions please be aware that we don't delete threads but only close them in order to avoid HTTP 404 errors after search engines have indexed XDA. Spams are an exception to this rule but we would also delete a thread on request although only immediately after it was created.

Question WhatsApp Business (Official and Mod) together

Hi all,
on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro I absolutely need to get 4 (four) WhatsApp Business Lines installed.
I can use dual mode because of dual sim, but I'm unable to install a Mod apk all together to the official release.
Is there a workaround to make fool Android 12 (I'm waiting for the Orange Spain Branded MIUI 14) in order to fullfil my needs?
Hope to get some positive replies (no phone rooting please or my banking and pay apps will stop working).
Cheers.
