Title, not sure if anyone else has exp this, if it's an android 11 thing or what.

it's the ASUS launcher. killing it or running it then another launcher seems to solve the problem

[Q] Launcher Pro + Causes SGS to get stuck on boot

Hey everyone,
I'm having an issue and I was wondering if you guys can help.
It's Launcher Pro +, after installation it runs perfectly smooth, really beautiful, however after a week or so phone crashes and it doesn't boot anymore, it gets stuck right on the first screen.
I've tried in various ROMS and keeps happening the same thing, I have to restore a backup previous to LPP, and I think but not certain that only happens when I activate the Pro or paid version.
Any ideas...???
BTW
I'm on Darky's 10.1
The kernel I think we can skip it cause it happenend on different ones.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Screen lock?

I am on temasek's kang #49 with voodoo sound and gmaps sensor kernel (also from him). When I set up a pattern or pin for screen lock it works only once and after unlocking it once the normal lockscreen appears and it never asks for password or pattern. Is it just me? Is there any way I can fix this?
Thanks
Got the same problem, but "solved" it with installing an old software I already bought, alternative locker. Maybe an alternative?
No fix for that? Its a real big bug! :/
Anyone with a fix? Anyone??!

Have you reported this to temasek? Maybe he isn't aware of it and can find a solution (or knows someone who will)
I did but I think he forgot, anyways I'll remind him again!
Do you still have to problem with latest KANG? One solution... I know it's a lot of work. But install inte from a brand new start. Format data + cache.
Got some strange behaviour with my phone where the home button died and didn't do anything. Tested a lot of solutions but only managed it to work with a full system clean. Now running Temasek KANG 54 with Vadonkas kernel. Had working lockscreen but like Widget locker more.
Oh no it works now! Phone Locator Pro was causing the problem!

[Q] How is the lock screen fixing my slowdown?

Hello,
I have a GT-N7000 running RocketRom V12 ICS and Hydracore V5.34.
Sometimes I notice that my launcher and apps start to get a bit choppy. I haven't found the exact recipe yet to create the issue, but I'll keep working on it. Once I'm in this state I tried closing all of the recent apps (using the ICS swiping) as well as Task Manager and even a task killer (fast reboot). Nothing changed, still same choppy. But here's the odd part, I press the power button to lock the phone, then immediately press it again and unloc, then the problem is gone. I'm back to smooth awesomeness.
I figure the factthat the lockscreen fixes the issue should somehow indicate what the problem might be, but I can't figure it out. Does anyone know what happens when the phone gets locked? Are there some kind of caches that are flushed, agents that are killed, or something...?
Any thoughts would be appreciated,
thanks,
Gary

Question Freezing when changing screen orientation

Hi all, I'm having an issue with my s21 ultra..
I play (landscape orientatated) games on my phone, and when the phone swaps upside down, rather than the game flip over straight away, the phone freezes from anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds, before finally flipping.
During this time you cannot do anything on the phone, including turning off screen.
Sometimes it's worse and actually restarts the phone.
Only seems to happen with games.
Any ideas what might be wrong?
Are you using a custom launcher? It's known custom launchers can cause the exact issue that you're facing on Samsung phones.

I am using Nova.. Been using for years so never thought of that. I'll uninstall and try that.
Thank you

So thanks for the suggestion..
I changed to oneui, and it still froze. Uninstalled nova, rebooted and now appears OK!

Awesome! That's good to hear! I remember reading in the past that Nova was actually the one launcher where the issue didn't happen as much. But I suppose that's not the case with the S21 Ultra (cuz I had first read about and experienced this issue when I had a Note 20 Ultra which I then exchanged for an S21U. But after getting the S21U, I've just been running OneUI to avoid running into that issue again).
So unfortunately I am still having the same issue.. It's nowhere near as bad, and sometimes only freezes for a couple of seconds, but sometimes also takes ages as before.
I am not using a 3rd party launcher anymore.
Anyone have any other ideas?
This issue is persistent on all 3rd party launchers across all OEMs. I had the same issue with oxygen OS; MIUI, and One UI...I think it's an Android issue and not OEM related..
That's a shame, was hopeful of a solution
I also notice freezing when watching a YouTube video and switching from vertical to horizontal. You can still hear audio but video is frozen. Stock phone

Question Android auto

Hi all. I need a bit of help.
Evertime my phone's screen goes off the android auto stops working. I have to drive while keep pushing the power button to it can carry on working. I have looked at all the settings I can think of but nothing seems to work. Running the latest MIUI 14.0.1 (vili) version.
Any help with a setting I can't think off please would be a great help as I travel allot.
I fixed it by disabling these options (see screenshots):
I found this workaround in another forum, it's a MIUI 14 bug, Xiaomi knows this problem, with next updates probably it will be fixed.
