LineageOS is a free, community-built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restores the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

I've tried to flash it on my Mi Note 10, but I ended up stuck on bootloop.
Here's what I've exactly done:
- Since I was on MIUI 12.0.2, I've downloaded and flashed MIUI 12.0.3 (the one linked before, recovery version). Although I did flash it, I didn't boot up the phone, nor did go through setup wizard. I just rebooted back to TWR
- Performed Data format (advanced wipe - selected only "Data")
- flashed LOS
- format Dalvik/Cache
- Reboot
Could the issue be not going through first-boot setup after flashing to MIUI 12.0.3? Also, I'm trying to boot my phone on this MIUI right now, but it is definitely stuck on MIUI logo. I guess I screwed up big time.

MIUI should normally boot. Maybe you can try the MIUI fastboot rom.

The thing is, you went to advanced wipe and only picked "Data" only... If you do advanced wipe... You have to also choose "Internal," both "Cache's"and "System". It's easier to just go to "Wipe" press the "Format data" option and type in "yes".
Plus.... when coming from another Miui Rom, you have to wipe everything from the wipe options written above.
So do that.. and then follow the steps below.
-Reboot to TWRP (in case your PC does not see your phone connected to load 12.0.3.0).
-Then load the 12.0.3.0 full rom, flash... "format data option", type in "yes"...
-Reboot to TWRP again.....
-And then flash Lineage, GAPPS and the latest Magisk 21.1.. and reboot "System".
Now if it doesn't come through.. flash 20.4 Magisk first, reboot to TWRP.. flash 21.1 Magisk and reboot "System".

I successfully flashed the rom but it won't boot... (bootloop)
so i got to go back to stock rom as it also wiped my custom recovery

Well you do have to download the ROM update before you can flash it and the correct one for your device. So not useless as it may seem to you

I see, my misunderstanding. Did not know you wrote a corrected instruction set. My apologies there. Thank you. To be honest you could do it in both ways, as you could use a computer to download the ROM haha. mostly self explanatory haha to most users that they have the ROM before going to recovery if they download directly on device.

Hello why is there no dolby atmos. I chose to use the screen for gestures, the back off function does not work. Sounds low dolby essential.

There is an overheating problem. When will the new update be released? Overheating. The sound is low. The recovery does not work when using instead of the hardware keys. If these problems are solved, the rum will be great

this rom is stable and almost every thing works very good. is there chance to fixed or add below item in coming version?
1. add option to disable backlight key while touch screen
2. add blue light filter option
3. improve proximity sensor operation
4. wifi disconnected sometimes and can not find any wifi until phone restarted. disable wifi scaning option can fix this bug temporary.
5. phone charging sometimes is slow and if use phone while connected to charger battery will discharge and reduce percentage

Just one bug on hotspot, after i turned on, its back to off again. But, in other rom like blackdiamond N8 its work properly. Can you fix that bug?

looking for fix for hotspot. hopefully the next build will have fixed.

Dude I love this rom so much!!
I have a problem, on WhatsApp Video Call, a few minutes on Call, my video camera is black and the Microphone works only in the headset.
Please take a short look if anything can be done about this before the next update!
I definitely don't see myself with another rom but this one, and that's the little problem I've been having

I dirty updated from 7.4 to 7.9 a week ago. It's working nice here. No freezes and no bugs. But call recording doesn't record anymore which is a problem for me. Does it work for somebody?
I use Magisk + Axet's Call Recorder

Just updated to this ROM. Everything is fine and smooth but when I enable Wi-Fi Calling, the person on the other hand can't hear me, but I can hear them.
Anyone else facing this issue or know how to resolve this?

Wifi Calling isn't working for me on my MiA1? Did you do any other settings besides turning Wifi Calling ON?

I am experiencing a bootloop when installing open gapps after the crDroid image.
Could this be due to my procedure?
I boot into fastboot.
Then:

Wipe the data. I also proceed the step in which I have to confirm with typing "yes".
Then I activate adb sideload, with whom I call

When I reboot now, everything is fine. But I would like to have a minimal set of gapps. Therefore with the same procedure without restarting after (4) I install the open gapps package (open_gapps-arm64-11.0-nano-20210929.zip).
Installation proceeds and is successful.

I endlessly see horus' eye flashing in colors...
Any advice what I can try else?

also tried pixel experience ROM, which is working fine (but here is no need to install gapps in addition because they are included). I decided against using it because it is bloated somehow, crDroid seems lighter to me.
also tried LineageOS but did also experience the bootloop. Here it was in bootloop also without installing the gapps

The rom works pretty well so far, the latest update to remove blur effect really helps the smoothness a lot! Running it without gapps.
The two issues I've had is volume often spiking when using headphones (basically when moving forward and backwards in songs/videos), and the display turning on to show the clock very often, even if the phone isn't touched or moved (this one is very minor since there was some setting to disable this behavior).

Installation Guide
CLEAN FLASH: (If on A11 based rom)​* Back up your data in phone memory as all data will be wiped​- Download the ROM & A12 Compatible Gapps (Flame gapps is recommended)
- Boot into recovery
- Wipe system, dalvik, cache, vendor and data
- Tap on format data, type yes and reboot to recovery
- Flash the ROM along with gapps
- Reboot To System
- Recover backed up data and Flash Magisk (optional)

Flashing Instructions:
First time installation (clean flash):
No need to flash the firmware separately, it is built-in
Enter fastboot
Flash boot.img
Code:
fastboot flash boot_ab boot.img
Flash dtbo.img
Code:
fastboot flash dtbo_ab dtbo.img
Boot to recovery (can do from bootloader or with buttons from power off state)
Now in recovery go to factory reset and confirm the reset
Reboot to recovery
Choose apply update and Apply from ADB
Now install crDroid zip via sideload
Code:
adb sideload crDroid.zip
Go back to main menu and reboot to recovery to install gapps (if you don't want gapps, reboot to system)
To install gapps, simply sideload gapps.zip the same way you installed crDroid.zip then reboot to system
Update installation:
Via recovery:
Boot to recovery
Choose apply update and Apply from ADB
Now install crDroid zip via sideload and reboot

Via OTA:
Go to Settings -> System -> Updater and download latest build

Is this rom only for Xiaomi Mi 11Pro? I don't see support for the Mi 11 Ultra anywhere.

IIRC, OP only develops for the Mars and not Star. It just so happens that usually roms for the Mars work for the Star but you won't be able to get stuff like miui cam for the Star
If you're willing to use GCam exclusively, forgot the back display. OP's roms seem to work great

Thanks for the information. I understand there is no development for Star. But then I don't understand why the thread is here and not in the discussion for Mars. The argument they usually work can also mean that it is a lottery if the rom will work on the Ultra? I don't want to risk it, so I have to continue to put up with MIUI. All ROMs of Mars and Star support each other, unless the maintainer removes the support

Edit：Currently people in unofficial will not receive the update push, you need to adb the full package in recovery to overwrite
