Question Main Camera fogging - Redmi Note 10 Pro

Hi,
I recently bought a new redmi note 10 pro. It hasn't even been a month of using it.
I was on video call and suddenly the main (back) camera started fogging up after some time during the call (I was using the back camera for this video call and not the front camera). The weather here is very humid currently. Could this be a reason? Although the camera on my old phone never fogged up, or maybe I never noticed it fogging up.
I have never dropped my RN 10 pro or damaged it in anyway. Just concerned if I should do something about it or is this normal in a strongly humid weather.
Any opinion or suggestion in this regard is welcome.
Thank you!

Have you tried booting in safe mode?
I had the same problem and it was hardware related since my phone fell in water once.

It is not software related. The fogging is on the inside of camera glass. I could see it.

It's probably air getting inside thorough certain hole. I don't really know what else could it be.

where do you live? Just bring it to Xiaomi Official service centre, in my country they will fix it for free

Yes, it looks like it's hardware issue. Replacement cost 20 euros where i live, says the guy in the store. Im just sceptical about opening the device, will he damage it because these phones are sealed and any force used into opening them can cause damages..
This ultrapixel technology really iritates

I feel the same about giving the phone to some random guy to open it up. As for ultra pixel - I just love it. My other M7 has amazing camera. I wouldn't change it for anything

Camera zoom issue. Anyone else?

So if I zoom in my phone will vibrate and the image is extremely blurry. It seems to be a known issue as Samsung forums are filled with threads about it but no solution except send for service. The problem reoccurs after service, cam module replacement, so seems like a software issue. Very unacceptable. Any fixes? Anyone else dealing with this?
Same problem here. Search the forum. There's already a big thread about it.

Same issue here, wobbly picture as soon as the x2 zoom camera is used.
It started 2 or 3 months ago (I bought my note 9 in December, 512GB European model)
If I focus on an object a foot or two from the camera it stops wobbling for a few seconds which allows me to take a shot quickly... The "live focus" mode doesn't work either (it uses the zoom camera for the effect)
I've also read that getting the camera replaced didn't help, but I wonder if these are real stories or just a rumour.
In any case, like many people I'm waiting a bit longer to see if Samsung publicly acknowledges the problem before getting it replaced under warranty.

The problems been around since last year. The Samsung members forum is full of these complaints. I doubt they'll make anything official now that we're getting closer to the note 10 release. I just decided to skip out on the next note

Ring Samsung and get it fixed via warranty ? As thats a manufacturing defect, if my Note had a issue like yours i would get Samsung to fix it.. if they dont fix it, i would get it replaced with a brand new Note-9 from Samsung. That's what warranty is for!
I have this problem also, i have no problem when using the google camera app zoom so i will stick with it it's even better than the stock Samsung camera app.

Had this.. fixed in samsung service...since im rooted price was around 110 euro..
Same issue
Yeah same issue here. The camera itself seems to be vibrating and making a noise like it's struggling to focus. I had the device replaced and the camera worked for 4 months and started to play up again. Honestly happened with my Note 4 as well, although the Note 4 could be slapped out of it at least. Very frustrating.
When I upgraded to android 10 my vibration camera problem disappeared.

I never notice any camera zoom issues with my N960N, when I was using it running android pie. I haven't tested it running on android 10 as I have managed to fix my N950N. As my N960N is now a backup device, which I backup my N950N to frequently.

Question I NEED HELP !!!

My s21 ultra snapdragon was fine until i got an update of February i guess and the camera got blurry as shown in the picture. Only the 1x . I went to Samsung and they said they cant do anything for me they dont even have the camera . And my phone did not fall or anything. I really really need help
Nothing we could really do. You could try a factory reset or reflashing the official firmware to see if it fixes.
The weird thing is when u tap the camera from the back it works normally
Hey, have you tried cleaning the lenses. Normally I would attribute this kind of issue from having debris on the lenses. Wipe all the holes at the back of the phone including the black area where the other sensors are located (laser)

Looks like an issue with the Optical Image Stabilization mechanism. Could be software or hardware. Can't say with certainty. It happens to me occasionally (once a month or so). Seems to me that the OIS mechanism gets stuck in a non optimal position and is unable to lock focus by itself.
The Quick fix (and the only thing that really works for me) is to whack the phone around the camera island. This seems to reset the OIS back into functional position. I'm not entirely sure but I think I've noticed this happening after bike rides or long walks which keep shaking the phone in my pocket. Maybe that throws the OIS out of alignment? I'm not sure. Anyway, just wanted to share my experience. YMMV.
TL;DR
1. Factory reset your phone. If not solved, it's a hardware issue and need camera module replaced.
2. If can't replace module, tap/whack the phone before taking photos if you notice focus is off. That should fix it temporarily.
I'm guessing the camera is focusing on the closes thing to the phone which is that ground and the rock sitting near you... as objects get furthur it seems to get blurry... if you look at the details of things that are captured in the bottom segment of the picture they look to be in focus.
my guess is the AI processing gone wrong, or badly implemented vs what they intended to do.
reproduce the issue then report it to samsung using samsung members app > get help > error report share the detail as much as you can and be specific of the issue. Also share the original image if you can.

Yes they do. And it's terrible to see these failures in so called premium flagship devices.
If you're still in warranty period, start pushing for replacement. Otherwise try a local repair shop that might have a camera module from an otherwise damaged phone.
And don't buy a Samsung device next time, if you want to teach them a lesson. The only thing companies respond to is a spanking with their customers' wallets.
We can rant and complain all we want on forums like these but unless we stop funding their bad practices and poor quality control by cutting off the money, they won't have any reason to change.
Sadly, the number of people that will do this is probably insignificant and the majority will continue as usual, so this is unlikely to make a dent immediately. But over time, maybe? Nokia was once king of all phones...
Totally agree with u bro . Its always our loss. I went to Samsung official shop here in my country and they said they dont have the camera and they cant do anything and no one on my local shop have this camera all phones here are budget phones . I cant do anything right now i will keep the device or maybe wait for a software update to come out and maybe it will be fixed caus my phone never fell so this got to be software issue

Question I need a new phone.

I want to buy a Motorola Edge 20 Pro but i want to ask anyone with a Edge 20 Pro could you please check if there is discoloration or tint issues in the display and sent me a picture I would really appreciate it. I am thinking of buying this phone but i held off because I wanted to know if the screen gets a green tint when viewed in darker apps like a dark mode of chrome or anything similar with a dark grey background. I have heard oled sceens tend to have this issue.
I myself used 2 phones with this issue they were the Poco F3 and the Pixel 6 and i both returned them for the green tint issues.
Bump
I noticed that last night actually. I was watching some videos and screen got really dark, and top of my screen was a bit brighter for some reason. I downloaded black picture, and put it on full screen, and then I dim the brightness down, and yeah, same result.
I would not recommend this phone to anyone. I have a touchscreen issues, entire UI is bugging, camera quality is awful. Fingerprint sensor is unresponsive at least 30% of the time.

Weren't the touchscreen issues supposed to have been sorted via a software update earlier in the year? What problems are you having with the ui? The camera does seem to get a lot of complaints, your not on your own there.

Im still have issues of some double touches.
https://www.reddit.com/r/motorolaedge20/comments/uul4q5
My issue looks like this, Ive tried launchers, just stock UI, to hard reset my edge 20 pro, and use just stock ui, but after a while, same bug is happening.
And for the camera, you have tons of complaints as well, tho they made it a little bit better with last update, users waited a year for that lol.

Hopefully they'll issue further updates with some more improvements
Alright so i have been away for a little while, but now I’m back and i have to say that you’re right about the Motorola Edge 20 Pro I actually bought that phone because I thought let’s give it a chance how bad can it be? But boy was I wrong, because the phone had many problems. First of all. Lag issues, like everywhere. Second of all. Screen issues, black crush, green tint on the top of the phone and red tint on the bottom of the phone. Software was laggy and touchscreen was unresponsive. So I returned the phone and finally got a refund.
I've reached out to Lenovo support. They asked me for a lot of bug reports, which I have provided.
What I've noticed lately is a burst of touches that happens sometime. Like, I'm typing a message "what's up?' And phone would just glitch and act like i pressed 10 of letters "p", 'Whats's uppppppppppp" With all vibrations for every letter.
Also, double touch function on finger print sensor is not working like 70% of time. And just like a strawberry on a cake. Every time you reboot/turn off and on your phone, this function will disable itself for some reason.
I've have Sony xperia J, Sony M2, Sony XA, Motorola g6, Moto g6 play, Redmi Note 8 pro, and now Motorola edge 20 pro.
So far, this phone is the worst phone I've have ever had.
It's not worth this money nor your nerves to deal with all the issues this phone have.
I didn’t even need to contact Lenovo directly I just contacted the store told them my issues, but they ended up sending me a new phone (The same phone) even though i said I didn’t want it anymore. At first, I had some trouble returning the phone afterwards, I returned the phone to them which took 3 times to walk to the store and back because there was some sort of communication issues and that’s why they returned the phone to me even though i sended it and demanded a refund which they agreed upon eventually but then sended the phone back and yadadadadadadadadda. End of the story is that I eventually, headachely returned the phone and got my money back. Because the store was so nice and actually told me that i will get my money back which is better then contacting lenovo and going through the stupid hassle of trying to contact them and them saying that “they will help you and yadadadada” Because let’s be real the manufacturer just wants you to keep the phone lol.
Sorry for the unorganized post just woke up lol
I took this phone over Yettel carrier. So I will try anything before trying to return it. As it will be really difficult.... The phone must go to the official service center 3 times before they would be able to process a refund to me.
And I need phone so. Yeah, im stuck with this unresponsive, piece of glass and plastic.
Can’t you just use one of your other phones? As a back up (Unlike me who has them all with broken unresponsive screens) lol.

I sold my Redmi Note 8 pro to get this junk. FML
Got my refund back, and i don’t know which phone to buy.
Sorry to hear all these bugs about the phone. Mine had a recurring rebooting problem. Sent to official Motorola repair (3rd party, Roadhound), but they can't replicate the problem. I made a video about it here:
Motorola Edge 20 Pro Rebooting Problem
Random reboot before and after Motorola Service checkup.
bit.ly
Finally returned to my JBHiFi store (AUS) and got a refund. Got a Zenfone 8 and never looked back.

Question Camera blur issue

When taking photos from main rear camera the edges get blurred and, camera cannot focus on edges manually as well.
Started happening since a few days. Same on different camera apps.
I'm miui 13.0.9 if that helps
Hi There
Same Thing Is Happening To Me.
A Few Weeks A Go i Noticed that main Lens is having issues when I'm trying to get photos! It was like blurry, the lens was making a Ticking/Rattling Noise!
Still Having The Same Problem!
I Thought Maybe It's The OIS Malfunctioning

Yes that worked and made it focus, but each time I close the camera app and open it again it goes back to the same issue.
Do i have to hit it everytime now?
Attached below one after hitting it

Annoyingly, yes. I had to live with the issue for about 6 months. Until one day, I got fed up and hit the phone so hard, it fixed itself. I have not seen the problem since that fateful day. I have been using the phone for a year and a half now.
