LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. A direct link to kernel sources can be found here. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs:
DO NOT report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless.)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Nice work! It is good to see some movement in terms of custom rom development.

I would advise against using TWRP when possible, it hasn't been rebased in years (not that I or anyone else would want to because that's a monumental task). Lineage Recovery should be a better alternative for the majority of tasks.
Also just a heads up I finished re-uploading builds, these shouldn't crash.

There are new bring-ups for twrp-10 and twrp-11 based on latest AOSP merges.. not sure what you mean there.
Lineage Recovery is great for basic partition modding flashable zips, and is probably more clean/consistent for fastbootd access at the moment, but unfortunately isn't useful for anything that requires decrypted data (so a lot there), can't flash zips from internal storage, and of course no backup/restore.

Hello, can VOLTE / VOWIFI activate?
I come from Germany / Telekom and don't find any attitude to it.

I feel like I read somewhere that we needed to wipe after flashing. Just confirming if we do or not. As my understanding goes, start to finish: unlock bootloader, fastboot flash kernel to either A or B (whichever is active), reboot = profit?
Thanks for the quick development already!
Can you explain the benefit of this?

No need to wipe, just unlock bootloader(which will wipe your phone), then fastbot flash kernel and reboot. To change your active partition you can use "fastboot --set-active=a"

Flashed R5 like a charm on Pixel. Not sure if it matters but I noticed version says it's marlin instead of sailfish. You're probably using the same base and what not though. Figured I'd let you know.

It's literally just one small change in the ramdisk that makes it work, so I just append the Pixel ramdisk to the same kernel. I will remove that when I get anykernel going and it will be the same zip for both devices at that point. Just waiting on TWRP to be public.

What I'm asking if what are the benefits of switching to this Kernel rather than using the default? I've tried to find documentation and an explanation with no luck.

Definitely interested in trying out this kernel. is there a way to backup the stock sailfish kernel(or does anyone have a copy of it?) that would be able to be flashed over to revert the system in the event that there are issues(such as an app failing due to modded kernel)?

Unless specifically stated, I would assume it is similar to other AOSP base ROMs. Same motomod functionality, same bugs, etc. See contributors. Same builder as AOSiP is in there. Usually if he fixed something here, he'd fix it in AOSiP as well and vice versa.
Well we all know what happens when we assume things so I ask, never hurt to ask and get confirmation.

Not really.
First of all, you can't really experience Treble. There's nothing different for the user, it's just for developers to easier port newer Android versions.
Secondly, it's somewhat pointless if it isn't properly implemented by the manufacturer. There's no benefit to port new version "easily" if you hame much more trouble to get Treble in the first place; might as well use those resources to port the ROM "the old way".
And lastly, as long as hardware manufacturers provide new drivers it's better to have it the old way.
Basically, porting Treble to old devices is more or less an experiment and a fun project for devs, not really expected to work flawlessly or take off.
Sent from my OnePlus 3 using Tapatalk
Well if this is mature, it can benefit both parties though IMO
For users, we can finally have an OS for all hardware just like in PC/Laptop enviroment
For devs, more user will use their product (build), mean increase in donation.
Later it would bring forth companies that build a paid/premium ROM. More devs would get a regular payment rather than relying in donations.
The rom can just including the generic driver to make the phone function for later use to install the driver from manufacture.
Manufacture would be forced to release a constant working driver or else get blamed by all parties.
All that later, we can say goodbye to bootloader lock since phone manufacture would just selling a phone, not the OS inside it.
The main issue here is that this thread is not a development thread, just basically a link towards the thread itself. Not sure this is the right place for that

Liking the ROM so far!
Thanks. I tried FlameGapps - nano, and am having better luck.
I'm having an issue with titanium backup too, but its been giving me trouble prior to this ROM. Some apps just wont restore. Titanium just hangs. Others are fine.
The app EdgeAction seems to be killed occasionally. Or stops working. Not sure if its ROM related or not.
I've also got "chipmunked voices" on calls, but turning speaker on and off fixes the issue.
Lowest call volume is really loud.

Are you building with Kuran's trees by any chance? I ran into that exact issue before I switched from his trees to Anay Wadhera's trees for Pixel Experience, it's an issue with the Sounds driver Kuran has as far as I can tell.
EDIT: just looked at who's trees your building with, you're indeed building with Kuran's trees, try with anay's (anayw2001 on GitHub) trees, you'll likely have to do some work just to get things to build, though)
Does it have system wide dark mode? Including notifications?
