Question Hardware or software issue? PUBG mobile, headphones in but voice chat goes through phone speakers. - Redmi Note 10 Pro

I just got a Note 10 Pro. All is good except when playing PUBG with headphones plugged in.
All the sounds from the gameplay go through the headphones except for when my teammates talk through the voice chat. The voice chat audio gets routed through the phone's speakers instead of going through the headphones like all the other audio.
However, when using Bluetooth headphones, this problem doesn't occur.
I've tried restarting the device, restarting the game, changing game settings, but nothing.
I assume this is a software issue right? Otherwise I'll look to change the device.
Thanks.

Bluetooth receiver for audio

can anyone recommend a bluetooth receiver that works well with this phone?
I am looking for something I can plug my own headphones into... has its own mic... and controls that will work to skip tracks when listening to music.
A friend recommended me this
http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/product/details.jsp?globalObjectId=152
which is about 2 years old now... just wondering if anyone else uses anything else?
or even a wired one that controls the music and has a mic, but lets you use your own headphones.
Thanks
Hi
I have a set of Motorola S9 Bluetooth headphones, which also has a built in mic and music control keys. I was getting backgroud hiss issues with my Vario II, but I can confirm that these headphones work flawlessly with my Touch Dual.
http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/product/details.jsp?globalObjectId=177
hmmm was hoping for something i could use my own earphones with...
thanks though
The S9s are good and sound quality (at least on my old N73) was absolutely fantastic.
However, I couldn't recommend the Motos to anyone. I've had 3 of them, and they've all failed with exactly the same problem - all the controls have failed. They're supposed to be waterproof, and having used them down the gym whilst running, they couldn't cope with a small amount of sweat.
You could go for :

Only £30 at L8shop.
ahh... thats the one i ended up going for... hopefully arrive soon...
we must think alike haha
Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220
I ordered a Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220 from Ebay about a month ago and paid 60 USD - works really well for music, has full controls including call functions - even pauses music when you have an incoming call and you get to use your own headphones if you prefer - which is why I chose this set?
Here's the link - hope this helps?

just received my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS200 today...
I have to say I am disappointed.
In the description on the mobilefun website I think it said music browsing... I was expecting to be able to twist the thing (like on my old md players, etc) to be able to skip forward or backward.
I was also expecting a volume control, but there is none.
Other things that bug me...
- when phone is on standby mode, when you press play on the ds200 the phone turns on. I am not sure if this is because of my ROM (t-mobile uk) or because of the ds200. A mate of mine back in oz has the touch dual with the motorola mentioned above, and the screen doesnt switch on. Pretty annoying.
- when someone rings me... I thought that I would just hear the ring in my earphones... but my phone rings.
- when listening to music... it seems to cut out momentarily (half a sec) every once in a while. Not sure if most bluetooth audio things do this, since this is my first one.
On the positive side of things... when listening to music and you decide to call someone... it switches automatically and the mic seems to work alright with the earphones. But I guess this is something that I expect anyway.
Also it is a good size.
Lbt-hp210c2bk
any one had try or tested this new logitec LBT-HP210C2BK??
I'm generally disappointed with the music playback on the Dual, either with the supplied headphones, or with my Jabra BT620s.
Pressing play on the Jabras doesn't always make the Dual start playing. Sometimes pressing play on the Dual, playback commences through the phone instead.
The momentary pause in the music seems to be a "feature" of the Dual though It does it both via wired and A2DP headsets.
Also, see what happens with incoming calls when you've got the bluetooth headset connected. Mine routes incoming calls through the phone, not the headphones.
And for those considering the S9HD - consider the price difference, and look at installing the SRS WOW HD software onto the Dual - probably does a similar job.

I have a DS220 and am generally satisfied with the sound quality for music playback but I do have one (rather major) problem: after phone calls (both incoming and outgoing) the phone drops the connection to my headset and I have to switch the headset off and then back on to reconnect. This is really irritating!

As I've said before, mine won't route incoming calls through the headset, makes it VERY dangerous whilst driving.

Sound problems while playing PUBG Mobile

I have encountered a weird problem specifically related to PUBG. When I start the app, it sometimes, randomly routs the audio to phones main speakers (the speaker primarily used for calls). Sometimes, it routs the audio through the loudspeaker even while I have connected a wired headset through adapter provided in the box.
When I connect a Bluetooth headset before starting the game, it plays extremely downgraded sound through the headset or simply uses the primary speaker (as above) as sound output, totally ignoring the bluetooth headset. Whenever this kind of problem occurs, restarting the device solves it, but on a later stage it comes back. Other applications like youtube and Google Play Music behaves as they should with all the three sound output options (Loud Speaker, Wired Headset and Bluetooth Headset). The problem occurs only with PUBG Mobile. Can anyone please provide a solution to this?

Encountered the same problem with Bluetooth headset and I fixed it by -
1) Going to world chat.
2) Pressing the voice message button for a few seconds.
3) sound stops coming for a second .
4) You get perfect quality audio after that.
PS - It only happens for me using Bluetooth headphones, not in my earbuds. And never tried phone loudspeakers while playing the game.
Actually what happens is, when the game starts, for some odd reason, your phone thinks you're receiving a call and acts accordingly. If you use any of the mic actions in the game for a second, it fixes it.

That's my concern. Do other phones also have this issue or just Mi A2 has it?

Bluetooth static / crackling sound

Does anyone else have bluetooth audio quality issues with their S10? When I connect my phone to my car bluetooth, the audio is crackly sounding, somewhat like a static sound. It seems to be with the bluetooth connection itself and not any particular app - phone calls, data calls, youtube videos, spotify, discord all for example suffer from this. I need to test a bit more but I think it happens on my bluetooth headset too, but it's harder to tell because it's a cheap headset to begin with. However, the car issue does NOT happen with any other device I use, so it isn't something to do with my car.
Nobody?
I have same issue, tested with an iphone and quality is normal

Poor Bluetooth sound quality / static?

Hi folks. Just moved to a different carrier, we were previous Google Pixel owners, but our new carrier doesn't support them so we had to move to S10s.
The big complaint here is the horrible sound quality coming from the phones to all of our Bluetooth devices. Cars, speakers, living room sound bar. Static-y noises and what sounds like just a far lower quality across all devices than what comes from our Pixels which we still have. Our kids Iphones have no issues playing clean and clear either.
Really frustrating issue, we both use our music service daily and this is darn near a deal breaker.
Any ideas or solutions out there? I've searched high and low to no avail. Thanks in advance!
Anyone? No one else has this issue?
is your phone rooted? Is this a snapdragon or exynos version? If its exynos version, rooted, installed aptx bluetooth codec and viper4android for better audio
Exynos, fully stock here.
No problem with bluetooth audio.
US Snapdragon phone. Completely box stock. Bluetooth even connects at an audibly lower volume. It sounds almost like it's connecting through one of those old FM Bluetooth transmitters. It's terrible. I've fiddled with every solution I can find online for others suffering the same issue, nothing works.
Actually, I didn't want to root my S10. However, the sound quality via bluetooth is so bad that you cant avoid Viper4Andriod.
That was also the case with the S8. At the point Samsung has huge deficits.
Without root / V4A you just have lousy sound quality.
I'd really love to find a workaround that doesn't involve rooting, but if that's all there is.....
I had the same problem with snapdragon unlocked variant. The factory audio quality over Bluetooth was terribly bad. It was tinny.
Interestingly when i used "seperate app sound" feature it has improved. But not as good as exynos variant when i compared.
Steps to follow.
Advanced Audio setting -> seperate app sound -> Turn ON ( select the app and bluetooth device )
Let me know if it works.
Never did find an answer to this question. Found that when it's plugged into a 3.5mm port it's even more noticeable. It's got to be a software issue. The static starts as soon as any music begins, and ends on any song switch or pause. You can actually hear the static 'kick in' right before the sounds start to play. It's horrible. Doesn't do it on my backup phone, or either of my kids' iPhones. Just these two S10s.
Hey man, did you ever find a fix? all of a sudden I started having this issue. If I turn "Call audio" OFF it is fixed and the quality is great again, but with Call Audio on, its crappy, on my car, or headset, same behaviour.
The phone seem to be using the Call Audio profile despite no active call.
Did some more testing, if I hit on "Disconnect" on my car system, I get the "call disconnect" sound and after that the audio is great. The issue seem to be the phone thinking its on a phone call and using call audio profile to stream the audio.

Bluetooth Problem in Games

I have a very specific problem and Google didn't help me so here I am.
I use my Bluetooth earbuds, launch a game, I can hear everything fine, but as soon as I turn on the microphone in game (Wild Rift, PUBG Mobile, any game with voice comms) audio immediately goes to the speakers. Bluetooth mic keeps working, but all the audio gets transferred to the speakers. This wasn't a problem until a few months ago.
I am using Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and getting the same problem with any bluetooth earphone. Please help this is making me crazy.
