So sorry to know about your issue, and thanks for sharing your story that sure will help other Devs.
Good luck.

Thank you for your kind words.
I hope the review process will get better one day.
In the meantime, if anyone has any further questions I will be happy to answer.

Have you considered switching to iOS store ?

That might be an option, it won't be easy at this stage of my life, but it's an option.
At the time when I started, I was not smart enough to consider this and I did the mistake to put all my eggs in one basket.
Now it's tough, with more than a decade of experience on Android.
Android development is what put the food on the table, and I have a mortgage to pay and a family to support.

Frankly, Google has been doing since 2011.
Better Keyboard disappeared?
Is it just me or has better keyboard disappeared off the market? I had to reflash generic UK and root/go back up to 2.3.3, but when I restored with Titanium Backup, I got the unlocker for Better Keyboard but not the app itself. Now I'm stuck in...
forum.xda-developers.com
IIRC The reason was even pettier than yours.
Bye Bye Better Keyboard 8, Open Home, and anything by Better Android
So, I was looking in the market for better keyboard 8 and couldn't find it. From there, I did a google search and came across their website with this as their top news. here is the link, and I will quote it as well. Better Android Apps Hello everyone, we have to say good-bye this time. Here’s...
www.droidforums.net
It was definitely a red flag for me.
In 2011 the paid apps are what made revenue for the Android Market. The Ad penetration was very low and users were limited.
Another example is ofc YongZh
So Why Were the Yongzh’s Emulators Pulled?
There was much sadness when Android developer, yongzh, had his Market account deleted and line of popular game emulators pulled from the market. Many people were troubled by this news, seeing it as…
androidcommunity.com
Google made a lot of money & goodwill via emulators in the initial days and then they booted out yonghz out .
Now the developers don't have any idea who paid for the apps and who didn't. And basically, the consumers are screwed and developers are harassed.
Also, Google changes its Developer license agreement 3-4 times a year. At any moment any apps can be booted out.
Make no mistake iOS can do the same. But at the very least you can speak to a human who can sort out your affairs. And that 99$ a year is totally worth it.
iOS experience is far more fluid then say 2015 (Been developing for both android and iOS)
Long term it's really wise to move away from Android to say Web or Server Administration.

Who feels this way?

So I got a Samsung captivate in August cause I was like "yeah, I'm a rebel, go android! Now, at my school, while iPhones are still very popular, androids are popping up all over the school. I am no longer a rebel. and I feel if everyone is going to have the same kind of phone as me, it might as well be the higher probability of sex iphone, right? Anyone else feeling the same way?

I notice more people coming to android over iOS. I think it's a good thing, until they retardedly call every android phone a DROID.
I'm a rebel, I still use a WM6.5 device and a WP7 device.
Next phone is going to be an android phone, after I love my new tablet and modding it... But who cares if you are a rebel or not? The new rebel will be having a bleeding edge ROM on everything to distinguish yourself from the sheep!

Two things:
1. I'm still a rebel for using Android. I'm a rebel because I have rooted, S-OFF'ed, and flashed a cutting edge ROM so sharp, it'll make your girlfriend pregnant.
2. Not that many Android users in Malaysia. Yet.
How does having an android phone making a rebel. Knowing how to use it and customizing it to the best of its ability is what makes you a rebel. Be proud you have one and hack it to no end, Im a rebel because i make my own launcher icons, docks and wallpapers MYTOUCH 4G + Photoshop CS5 = <3

+1 to that.
Any more recommendations like that and I'll have to learn to Photoshop for my own icons
although more people are switching to android, i still feel that i'm a 'rebel' cause i've rooted and customized my inspire 4g.
most android users here in australia are still n00bs and got stock bloatware from their respective telcos
I am a rebel. I went through 3 iterations of the iPhone (2G, 3G, 3Gs) before I got fed up with Apple and switched.
And yes. I HATE people who call all Android Phones Droids. I remember being in an AT&T store when an older women comes in asking if they sell "Droids" there
I'm the proud owner of the fastest current phone on the market .
Sent from my Atrix 4G using the XDA App
i have to tell someone everyday that all android os phones are not called droids as they look at me with a stupid look on there face i swear everytime im around someone with a iphone they try and punk me about android so i ask one question what does your (JITTERBUG) i phone do that my android want? they always say well its an iphone! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steve Jobs Resigns as Apple CEO

CLOSED: There is already a thread for this.
Breaking news yesterday night out of Cupertino, California. Apple CEO Steve Jobs, 56, has resigned as chief executive officer of the iconic tech firm he co-founded in the late 1970's.

According to a press release issued by Apple, Jobs said the following to the Apple Board of Directors and the broader Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.
I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.
I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.

Just had to say thanks for this - best comment ever!
But Apple will keep moving on - they will just lose their number 1 Carnival Barker is all.
The fanboys will still drink the cool-aid and keep buying their products.
But... it is funny to see a 5% drop in their stock over night. Where is that consumer confidence when you need it?

The reason behind Apple's success is Steve Jobs's concern for quality and user interface. Without him...who knows what Apple will make. No one wants a freaking iPhone that's made of plastic (I mean Samsung plastic...the 3G/3GS were plastic done right) or one that leaks light (HTC >.<) or one that has laggy web browser zooming and scrolling out of the box (Andoid), or just a terrible browser out of the box (Android), or a ****ty media player out of the box (again...Android...the Sense player is decent but ugly) .

That is an interesting idea actually. We all know Apple's design ideas are pretty good, and some android phones you don't want to take out of your pocket. But on the other hand, Android is a great system, and iOS...not so much. So you can have 2 different phones from that. One sexy phone with awesome OS, or an Ugly one with crap OS. I present to you, this phone:

iphones couldnt handle the power of android
i hate iphones but if they combinded there power with android that phone would dominate the 2 most popular oses features in one phone
You would need a dual boot phone, preferably a Samsung and have iOS running flawlessly. Name it the iWin

Hark at him, with his fancy new 80s cube puzzle avatar!
I think jaszek has the right idea, I mean its not as though apple even make their phones or components, so all it would take is a logo swap at foxconn and a optimised version of android and BAM. of course the ifanboys would then complain about the poor build quality as it no longer has a partially eaten fruit logo on the back.
In the real world.. If you're just looking for an android that is aesthetically pleasing.. Motorola seem to be doing a good job on that front. My Atrix looks smart, and the new razr is all fancy!
just buy a samsung, it looks like the iphone and it runs android
I'll only put it this way- iOS' power management, maybe battery itself, everything else android / non-Applicular origin. Lets face it, right now, our beloved toys only lack that functional amount of battery life to be, well, functional and reliable.

Ok, I'm not sure why you resurrected a thread that has been dead for over 2.5 years but I think it's time to officially kill it.

A Poem to MIUI

A Poem to MIUI
A POEM FOR YOU
In the midst of two zero double one,
I had my first android which I won,
As a guy who always want some fun,
My first adventure on flashing begun.
I search the net for what to do,
Then search on ROMs for what is new,
And then my passion begun to grew,
The time I found Miui, yes its you.
I was so disapointed that I cant reach you,
Because of my low end device that wasnt new,
That my X8 only run's in froyo,
But luckily there are gingerbread port before I knew.
The best eyecandy than other I must say,
From its unique features to how its display,
I used Miui v3, even on my dismay,
Even on my device it causes delay.
My obsession grew that I cant deny,
In my old shakira I must say goodbye,
For I have to earn for me to buy,
To experience the real MIUI.
Atlast its a dream come true,
When all the functionality I have in you,
Thanks for the obsession I had S2,
Now I can play and explore the more of you.
From v3 to v5 its really something,
A lots of improvements that makes it the best thing,
Im really excited each update you bring,
For all android customization you are the king.
What a great experience on call and sms,
Your memories are safe on cloud services,
Free songs and apps on online resources,
You bring the best on all the devices.
Blacklisting and whitelisting are so easy,
Better protection from bad people lunacy,
For you we dont have to worry,
Because you really value the users privacy.
Control your data plan with network assitant,
Backup your data which are important,
Lose phone find it thru Xiaomi account,
What can you say about this? One thing it's brilliant.
Filter messages thru Anti - Spam,
Never miss the fun with sheduled alarm,
Always protected from risk with virus scan,
An easy access to functions thru toggles drop down.
Maximize buttons and screen for better accesibility,
Large and small font sizes so grandma can see,
Young and older people you make them all happy,
With such full packed tools and functionality.
From transitions to its operation,
From music effects with lyrics and caption,
From its flipping note creation,
Tell me who can avoid such temptation?
Those flashy icons, that almost copied by iphone,
That unique and cool launcher you call MiHome,
With MiSpace you will see your room,
Who can resist to put it in there custom ROM?
You can choose your everyday theme,
From sweet zip to sexy beam,
From naughty Mitu to transformer extreme,
This is the whole package that you could dream.
I joined the forum to dig deeper,
Became a beta tester to be a bug reporter,
Became a moderator to reach you further,
Proud to be in the community that help each other.
You see you are fast growing,
In every device port are showing,
Everyday we grew and keep ongoing,
You will not fall with the spirit glowing.
I know its still a long road all the way,
To satisfy all the customer based on what they pay,
I know there are ups and down but hey.
Lets all forget it for a while and celebrate on the sixtenth day.
In the 16th day, you will be three,
I want to see you on top of android tree,
Bring more happiness and fun that it should be,
A happy happy birthday from Mika Dee.
I hope your all plans will pursue,
And I believe you will never quit but continue.
Your superb legacy is to redefined Andrew,
All will agree to me that those are true.
Ops I almost forgot I have lots to do,
So let me end here my story,
On How I Met you.
**********
*****
**
PS:
Below is a Challenge.
I had form a shape i hope you see,
A symbol of love between you and me.
My humble appreciation of your creativity,
That for all of us will never be ordinary.
Theres a lot of touching testimony,
On how they met you for your beauty.
Goodluck to all who gave their entry,
Win or lose all are great story.
I wonder why people keep on translating,
I think they find this poem very interesting,
Its a previledge for me and its overwhelming,
So maybe you people can add more to what Im saying.

My dislike for MIUI and the fact that its "birthday" is over means I can do this...

My desire of Android...T-Shirts

I want to start up an Android Themed T-Shirt printing company. I could use some support from our community. I have written an "About me" so check me out! Its not finished but will be fully completed with a picture timeline in the near future.
Mod edit: Info removed.
About Me...Take a seat
Im all about android, since you are reading this I’m willing to bet you are too. From a Motorola Brick to a Samsung Galaxy Gear, I’ll show you how I fell in love with android. Sit back and relax as I lead you on my journey…. I recently searched for T-Shirts, hoodies, jackets, anything that I can wear with an Android based design. My results netted almost none at all. I found maybe one or two t-shirts. I was pretty disappointed that I could not walk to classes at The University of Kansas wearing something I supported so much. Here is my story.
My first phone was a brick from Motorola at the age 14. My mom placed my first phone on my birthday cake so I immediately thought it was fake. I remember thinking it couldn't be merely anything but a hollow dummy phone. To my surprise it was heavier than what I had expected. That birthday marked the long nights of playing snake.
At 15 my second phone came into my life. It couldn't just be any phone though. It had to have a color front LCD screen and play polyphonic ringtones. My mom and I settled on Kyocera. A flip phone on virgin-mobile. This phone served all a teenager's needs at the time. With this phone I was introduced to Java given the web browser. At the time there was absolutely no development from a 15 year-old’s standpoint. I was simply happy could browse Myspace on my phone.
When I was 16 everyone in high school had the Motorola Razr (today's IPhone) but I wanted something different. I wanted something just as good and just as slim. I could afford it since I started work at a Sonic nearby.... Making $5.15/hr plus tips I was basically rolling in money. 220 dollars later I ordered the Samsung A900 aka "The Blade" from eBay. It was dope at the time. It had front facing speakers, music control buttons, and a rotating camera. I’m just realizing it now but was the first selfie phone. :cyclops: To stand out I wrapped the phone in a money skin from ebay. I was pretty much the cool kid on campus.
While I was around 17 years old I bought my first smartphone. This also might be my first time finding xda, I joined in 2008. It was the HTC Vogue aka The Touch. It was my first ever touch screen phone and it had windows! I was amazed I could simply copy and paste files just like my computer and it only had 3 buttons. With unlimited texting/data and my Acura Integra I was living the life of a teenager.
18 years old I was still working at Sonic but now as a shift manager. The pay was great for my age while still living with my parents. Once my upgrade came along I decided to get another HTC. The Touch Diamond. All I ever wanted. It was a windows phone, it has a pretty good camera, AND it had a gyroscope built in! Now I can brag to my friends about this awesome game where you can tilt the phone in order to roll a ball through a maze.
Onward came the Motorola Droid. At this point I was 19 and recently accepted into the University of Kansas studying Mechanical Engineering. I remember sitting in English 101 discussing a topic about how technology has shaped us. The guy sitting next to me noticed my Droid on the desk and brought it up to the class. He said “His phone is basically a computer. He has a keyboard, he can send and receive email, and use the internet. The best thing about it is he can fit it in his pocket.”
