Thanx , could you be a bit more clear please? A photo would also do a job? Thanx again!
also my mhl (the official sony mhl) outputs [email protected] only? Why is that? I know that phone's build in screen is running @ 60fps and mhl is supposed to mirror.
Any input from the hi-tech guys?

Hi Greg,
Where is the option to change to 60 hz? I am using Sony IM750 MHL adapter.
Thanks
I am not sure, I don't use that app, I was just passing it on for the other user

Ah, ok. I can't seem to find a 60 hz option. It seems with non-mhl enabled 1080p tvs you can only get 24hz.
Not a solution for this but i've noticed with different TV sets that sometimes it runs in 1080p @ 30hz and other times i get 720p @ 60hz, my panasonic viera runs it 1080p @60hz
So not too sure why.
Try a different TV.

Not sure what to tell you m8, mine doesn't.
But certain TV's have yielded different results for me over the years with different phones, i'm not too sure what it's defined by either.
So our phone is incapable of driving an mhl and otg at the same time!? Is our microusb of 5 pin layout?
Its sad that nobody comes with a simple answer. For a ring full of developers one would assume this question would be simple to answer.

using chromecast as MHL cable

Is there option to use chromcast as MHL cable? I mean sth like this: phone > USB OTG cable > standard usb-microusb cable - chromecast > TV

No not really...
MHL is just another name for Slimport. And it depends a lot on device support, many older devices have a true Mini HDMI port while newer models add slimport support to their USB port that can be plugged into a TV with the proper Slimport adapter.

i meant if phone already support MHL
I use Xperia Z1, its rooted and now it support screen mirroring but MHL is lagless, perfect for playing games especially if you have wireless game controller

Doesn't change the answer as far as the CCast is concerned....
the USB port is really only used for Powering the device under stock conditions and while I assume it might be possible to add MHL support to a Custom rom for Rooted units at this point none of that exists.
CCast is not really a display adapter it is a media device that is more like a browser on a stick.
Once booted the CCast can only communicate and get data via WiFi and thats where the lag comes from.
That said games written specifically for the CCast work differently as the game runs natively on the CCast and you control it via wireless which reduces the lag since very little bandwidth is needed and all the data intensive work is done on the device where WiFi and latency can't affect it.
But so far most games for CCast are very rudimentary I think your looking or Graphic intensive games that normally play on the mobile device...
I think the best you will from those types regarding CCast support is a Observer view where some can watch the action happening on the mobile device but where delay and lag doesn't affect the player.
You are better off and pretty much resigned to using cables for true live update.

Galaxy note 5 cable

Do we have any way to connect our Note 5 to PC monitor via cable (wired)?
You could probably use an MHL HDMI out to the monitor if it has HDMI, or maybe do that with an HDMI to DVI converter if you have a DVI port. Not sure if that will work though. Someone else can clarify.

Download sidesync on your PC. It mirrors the phone screen to the monitor. Will work with laptops and desktops. Best part is it uses your stock micro USB cable.

Yes, but you need a PC. I would like to replace my PC on presentation.
Note 4 and Note 3 is simply connect via MHL-HDMI cable.

USB C to HDMI Cable

Does anyone know if connecting OP3 via USB-C to HDMI cable works? I would like to connect to my full HD screen, but am not sure about the result. With Taskbar app it can become fully fledged desktop with windowed apps. DPI would have to be adjusted accordingly for the huge screen, but the cable is the first step.
The OP3 doesn't support Video-out through its USB C port, so it won't work.

Any news about this option ??
I see some post about DislayLink app and compatible USB-C devices ...
You're necroposting. Those are different things, video out through usb-C is a hardware capability. No OP phone has that as of yet. There might be some alternatives, but I doubt they are as straightforward to use.
