Question Samsung Pay with CSC THL is not working (ok call rec) - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Hi, I have a note 10+, Note 20 and a s21 ultra 5g both exynos with fw thl and same screens as attached.
However on the s21 ultra 5g as in the other devices, call recording works correctly, but Samsung Pay does not work.
"Not available for your device"
The only difference from the other models is that this was first turned on without sim and varied the csc with Samkey.
But I repeat everything works correctly except for Samsung Pay.
Even on the Watch4 no problem.
Where do you think the problem lies?
Thanks

ah I did not know. But why does it keep going on the other devices?
EDIT:
yesterday i called samsung and it confirmed that the service in thailand is active.
So that doesn't seem to be the problem.
I would not like them to have imposed any other locks on this device.
Any other suggestions?

Found any solution for this issue? Experiencing the same!

Does Samsung Pay work on SM-N9500? SM-N950FD?

Does the US, UK or Australia Samsung Pay work on Note 8 SM-N9500 or SM-N950FD models?
Anyone tested or confirmed this? With the S8's seems like it will work if you have the UAE model of the phone and you sideload the samsung pay app (not sure about the HK version). The note 8 UAE model is SM-N950FD which is also a global model so it might work on this if similarly one has the UAE firmware on it + sideloads Samsung Pay? SM-N9500 even work at all?
No one has used or uses or has tried to use Samsung Pay on SM-N9500 or SM-N950F/DS models anywhere? Can't be possible.
I have a SM-N9500, and Google Play claims Samsung Pay is not supported in my 'device country'. But indeed it is supported in the country where I leave and where my Google account is based (and by my bank). As I understand, SM-N9500 is a Chinese version (not my country), and yet Samsung Pay is well supported in China as well.
In any case, it looks like Samsung Pay will not work on this phone.

On a second thought, did you try to edit build.prop to spoof your device number? The hardware platform of those models is the same as any phone supporting Samsung Pay. So I cannot think for any reason it would not work other than country support.
@younoob
did you try it? did you try different sim card and reset? did you try sideloading Samsung Pay 2.7.03 (apk from apkmirror) and Framework 2.7.51 immediately after reset?
I tried resetting my google play localization, but it did not work. So I failed to install Samsung Pay at all. My problem is, if there is ever an apk that I do not want to install from an unofficial source, that's Samsung Pay. It has direct access to credit cards...
Resetting localization will not work. Sideloading SPay is not an issue now really is it if all you want to do is confirm whether it works to start with or not. And there is nothing wrong with sideloading in general so long as you are careful with your choices.

Resetting localization indeed did not work. N9500 is a Hong Kong and China version. Any exported phone should come from Hong Kong -at least mine is. I am sure that Samsung Pay works abroad as well, no matter the country. So my guess is that if one installs and runs it in Hong Kong, then it should work in other supported countries as well. Isn't it? Maybe one can spoof the location somehow, not sure how to do that without root. Any idea?
As for sideloading, of course there is nothing wrong with it. Just, for something like Samsung Pay, you really really need to trust your apk source. A malicious person may get the original apk and somehow engineer a modification (basically send all the data to a server), and your bank cards AND identity would be totally compromised. At the best of my understanding, this can be done without any need to crack the Samsung Pay security features.

Well according to what I read and some I asked, no. Samsung Pay may be localised via the model number and active sim card on first boot. You managed to spoof the model number?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/help/how-add-samsung-pay-to-sm-g950fd-dual-t3600699
You will see in above thread that the exynos model with XSG firmware is able to have the framework and samsung pay sideloaded and it works with US cards. On the Note 8's this likely means we can buy any SM-N950F/DS and do the same whereas the SM-N9500 SPay would work in HK and apparently if I read correctly HK has some more advanced SPay features... Now if only Samsung would release a 128 or 256gb mode of SM-N950F/DS already!
Actually changing the location in payments.google.com partly worked. I located myself in Hong Kong, then cleared Google Play data and rebooted the app. It took more than one day for Google to update the status, but now Samsung pay just appeared as one of my (preloaded) apps. Yet, basically only American Express will work worlwide (and Hong Kong cards). On the good side, you can successfully upload all the fidelity cards and other magnetic cards that are not related to your banks.
I did not spoof the model since the last time I checked taking root on Qualcomm note 8 looked risky and N9500 is not even mentioned in the thread. Did you get root?

Not surprised that work as you got a HK model and enabled SPay HK. See if the same is possible for US or your own country.
A root was released just few days ago for qualcomm models that will not trip knox apparently but charge shows 80% or something.
Did you root? As they do not mention N9500 in that thread
I have 9500 hk version. It had samsung pay preloaded. My location is taiwan and using taiwan sim. When i open samsung pay it had a restore previous card option. (i used samsung pay on a previous samsung phone) i restored it but had to activate the card again. Have used it here in taiwan and no problem. The only downside is promotions on the app and store membership cards are all still hong kong.

Just flash XSA unlocked Australian firmware. Just bought a SM-N950F/DS and it has a limited version of Samsung Pay that works just like it did on my S8 950F and my S7 Edge 935F. Don't be in a hurry for updates on XSA still on August security patch but white pages works.

Can't flash XSA on N9500. What do you mean by limited version of Samsung Pay on your SM-N950F/DS? What cards/banks are working on it and what aren't?

I am sorry I thought you were looking for answer for either model so I posted regarding my experiences with the F model.
Samsung Pay features work off of your devices CSC. When I first set up my Samsung Pay account it was on a S6 Active obviously a US Model. With that said my F model devices have Samsung Pay with MST support, Membership Cards and that is it for options that I can us in the US. So I get Australian promotions not US promotions on and no rewards or gift cards. I still get rewards points when I use my F models but I have to access them through my ATT Note 5 or see the points through my Gear App for my Gear S3. Basically a huge cluster f#ck and hopefully they will make Samsung Pay dependent on your SIM not your CSC I highly doubt it though.
I have a Citi Visa and Citi MC on my phone and Gear S3. Samsung did change things around so you can import cards which worked on my Note 8. When I moved from my S6 Active to S7 Edge F model I had to setup all the cards and they worked. So the guess off the top my head would be any card that currently supports Samsung Pay should work but it is Samsung Pay so it is a guess.

Have you tried the XSG firmware method that apparently is reporting success? Appears to involve flashing XSG and then sideloading framework and samsung pay app after which supposedly everything works fine.

Ran XSG on my S7 Edge for a while and flashed XSA. XSG you get the Ramadan calendar, no white pages and you have to screw around side loading and worry about an update breaking it. That is why I gave up on XSG it updated and broke my work around . Unless something has changed I don't recall having rewards or gift cards but that might have changed. XSA is just flash and your done Samsung pay updates with no issues. For me I need a backup device so to get all Samsung Pay features it is just as easy firing up my Note 5 to access them.

On XSG you couldn't sideload white pages? What firmware are you running on your note 8?

White pages is CSC dependent also. It's cooked into all the firmware and you can find it and try activating it through a Nova activity but it would never work. You can download Hiya apk which white pages is built off of but it doesn't integrate with the system like white pages does. I have fiddled with so many firmwares and Samsung Pay and Framework apk just got sick of experimenting.Running XSA and happy with the firmware and my Note 8. And if am wrong on anything I have said someone please correct me because I would like to know.
I can use Samsung Pay on my non-rooted SM-N950F/DS on AT&T as well as GoogleFi.

Samsung pay not working on Samsung Galaxy S10

Hello, Actually I'm residing in South Korea and I bought my phone from Morocco and I can't use Samsung pay neither other contactless payment app here. I already contacted the customer service here they told me to contact the one from where you bought the phone which I did but the service in Morocco told me that they don't have any answer for this problem.
I've read somewhere that's because of the firmware and I should change it to the country I'm in. I have a Samsung galaxy s10 SM-G973F (international version) and my question is would I have any problems if I install SM-G973N(Korea version) firmware on my phone (same processor Exynos 9820) ? and is it going to solve the problem ?
Thank you!
Hey, no expert here or anything just my 2 cents. I found a Reddit article that asks a similar question. Their Exynos device was in the US but Samsung Pay wouldn't work for them either. The comments seem to point to a change in the CSC needing to match the local region. You can read the article here. For the OP of that question they were hopelessly stuck because there is no US firmware for the Exynos version. You may have better luck since there is a version for your location.

Numbersharing with GW3 LTE and Non-Samsung Phone.

It seems that number sharing will not work with non-samsung phones and the GW3 LTE. Does anyone have any idea why and if it is possible to get it working with say my HTC or am I now forced to move to a Samsung Phone..
What carrier are you using?

My older Galaxy Watch works fine though.
Not sure why number share doesn't work with non Samsung phones though.

Is it just a bloody Australian thing?
I don't want to rub salt on wound but it would funny to do so . It would for me and wife in the first go itself.
Network: Optus
Phone: S10+ & S20 5G Ultra
So, I tried it on a friends Samsung phone, and then moved it back to my LG, and it works, mostly. Calls and LTE in general work fine. The only thing that is weird is text messaging - if not connected to the phone, then it relies on using it's own phone number. Otherwise, it's good :good:

No E-Sim Functionality on 5G variant

Just received the Pre order for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G and as the title says it doesn't have E-Sim functionality out the box.
I spoke to two Samsung Customer service representatives and they don't have a clue. I got so fed up trying to explain that I simply can't scan the QR code and enable the E-Sim that I'm going to return the phone as I need a dual sim device for personal and business needs.
I am aware that the Fold 2 had exactly same issue but it got enabled via a software update but I can't hang around for a software update to be sent out as I need to active lines.
Very poor product support by Samsung and it has soured my experience with them. They should release all their devices with e-sim support from the start and not rely on software updates further down the line.
if you are in the US, then eSIM is not supported yet.
when I contacted Samsung, they said T-Mobile USA (my carrier) needs to enable it. If i ask T-Mobile , they say that Samsung needs to release a firmware update.
I don't know who to believe.
It is extremely frurstating

I wouldn't be so quick to blame Samsung - my understanding is that the lack of e-SIM support (or any kind of dual-SIM capability) in North America is being driven by the carriers. We're making progress though - at least now we can easily buy unlocked phones (or imported dual-SIM phones) which was nearly impossible not that long ago.

I'm based in the UK and was informed prior to ordering the phone by a Samsung customer service representative that the phone would be e-sim ready.
There is quite a demand for e-sims in this country and we have a fair few phones that offer the service out of the box.
Just a little annoyed that Samsung couldn't get this service up and running on the device prior to release.
Nevertheless not my problem any more as I have initiated a return and will be looking to buy something else.
Just a side note, other US modes in the S20 series do not have the eSIM enabled either, and those hasn't been released yesterday. The only Samsung phone that seems to have eSIM enabled in US is the Fold. Bottom line is, don't count on this feature. Kinda hope to find a viable workaround on XDA or other forums. The eSIM is the main reason i don't hit that "buy" button on this phone just yet, i'd really like to have an eSIM capability on my next device (not for a day to day use, but for traveling purposes).
but here in germany it is normal, that every samsung phone that has esim also have it enabled.

No.
Because there is no S20 FE (5G) with eSIM support.

According to this (https://piunikaweb.com/2021/01/29/w...sim-support-on-samsung-galaxy-devices-in-u-s/), nope, and it will never have it in US. Now they say S21 may eventually get it. Bottom line is - forget about it.

Question Shipping from Samsung_US to Canada (Unlocked version) /any possible method?

Hello everyone,
Could you help me answering my questions?
I'm planning to buy Samsung S21 Ultra, so I was searching for good prices here and there...
I found out that on Samsung US, it is much cheaper (Unlocked version), moreover, you'll get 250$ credit value to buy other accessories, while Samsung Canada is way too expensive without such promotions!
I tried to place the order through Samsung US and to type the shipping address to Canada .m.but unfortunately it wasn't working!
My two questions as following:
1- Is there anyway to get the S21 Ultra to Canada from Samsung US?
2- I heard that I might face problems in connection compatibility (even with the unlocked version), especially the 5G as it won't be compatible with the Canadian courriers ....so is that true? Will I face any problem if I buy S21 Ultra from Samsung US to Canada?
Will appreciate your replies ...
Thanks
Depending on your carrier in Canada, Wifi Calling and VoLTE may not/will not work. Here is a long thread about purchasing from the US etc. This will answer all your questions:
[Samsung USA] Samsung USA S21 Trade-In Deal Thread - RedFlagDeals.com Forums
i have the W version with the US U1 software on it (I love ODIN) and works it great on Telus for 5G (except the Wi-Fi calling; Telus asks for your number and then it never connects but I also have a partner account so maybe that is why). On Freedom Mobile/Shaw Mobile with the U1 software, everything works (except 5G as that is not available for everyone yet).
Thanks
May I know which re-shipping company had you dealt with? Any recommendations?
