Wi-fi calling - Moto G9 Play Questions & Answers

I bought this phone as it is on the list of phones supported by Vodafone for wi-fi calling as I have a poor signal. The setting to turn on wi-fi calling is missing from the settings menu. I installed an app called "Wifi calling" which allowed me to change the setting and wi-fi calling worked, however, following an upgrade to Android 11, this app no longer works.
Does anyone know of any way that I can enable wi-fi calling on this phone? I was thinking of maybe a shortcut to an Intent.

I sorted this out by getting Vodafone to remove wi-fi calling from my account and then to add it back in. This refreshed the settings menu.

Hello,
My N7+ is showing as having Wifi Calling Enabled (and tested making a receiving calls via Wifi).
However, when I look in the settings, it has Wifi Calling set to disabled?
Is there a way to permanently disable the Wifi Calling capability?
Where is the option of wifi calling

I don't have my phone to hand at the moment but from memory wifi calling is listed under settings-> networks-> mobile networks-> advanced
On my UK phone spec TA-1055 on BT mobile I can toggle it on and off but my understanding from bits of reading that I've done is that it's very much dependant on the mobile network as to whether it's available or whether you have the ability to control if it's on or off.
I m on android p dp4 its not there..

Wifi Texting and Calling

Hi,
I use Mint Mobile in the US as my provider. They support wifi calling and wifi texting, and I thought that the Mi A2 would be able to use this function, but I cannot find it in the settings. There is a setting that pops up when I search Wifi Calling in settings, but when I click on it, it is not in the menu. Will a custom ROM allow for this feature? Or do I just need to deal without it?
Thanks!
I finally found the wifi calling setting in the phone app (I cannot find it in the settings app), and enabled it, but when I go to make a call over wifi (without cell reception), a text box pops up saying "Mobile network is not available. Connect to a wireless network to make a call." But I'm on wifi, and I have wifi calling enabled (and I've enabled it on Mint Mobile as well). Please help!

CLT 09 c782 emui 9 and wifi callong EE

So I got the stock update this morning
So far it
Reset a a few permissions
Corrupted my Netflix device ID, voidingy downloads and forcing me to login again
But most annoying
Seem to have changed the WiFi calling policy
And only seem to switch to WiFi calling in the absence of 4G
Rather the use WiFi when it's available
Thought it is does show a WiFi dial button

Verizon Pie Killed WiFi Calling

Just updated my Note 9 to pie last night. I can no longer turn on WiFi Calling. I know the setting moved to the Settings when the phone app, but when I go to switch it on, it says that it is unable to. I also have this persistent WiFi calling notification on all the time too.
Anyone else having this issue and found a solution yet?

I have no such problem with my Verizon note.
Attached are screenshots of my issues. When I switch WiFi calling on, it says to wait a few minutes then gives a message that it is unable to enable WiFi calling and to try again later.
Go into your settings app and Search for "My Verizon Services" in the search bar. Make sure this is enabled

Question Wifi calls

Can anyone tell me if the radio has to be on in order to make wifi calls. When I'm in airplane mode and connected to a wireless network I get a message to turn airplane mode off. I have really bad cell service where I am and making calls is hit and miss.

I keep my radio off all the time (unless I leave my house) wifi on, airplane mode off and make and receive calls just fine.

If you have airplane mode off how are you turning the radio off? That's what I'm using to turn it on or off.

Mobile data always active in developer options set to off and I toggle mobile data off in Internet options. Unless I'm misunderstanding that should accomplish what your trying to do. For me this gives me wifi calling and receiving while I'm home (cause like you I have terrible reception) but when I leave my home and can pick up a signal I will still get calls etc
I must be missing something. I've turned off mobile data always active off in developer options and mobile data off in internet options. Right now I have no cell service, because it's so crappy here, am connected to my network but I still can't make calls. When I try I get a "mobile network is not available" error.

Check out under Network & internet, then internet. Your mobile network should be listed on top. ( I use google fi and it is listed) click the setting and make sure wifi calls is turned on. If it isn't there for you I would look around or check with your provider and make sure they allow wifi calling?
Or maybe someone else that uses the same provider as you can chime in here.

Thanks for helping me on this. Wifi calling is turned on. My carrier is Verizon. Could you look on your phone and tell me what it says below wifi calling, the smaller text, under Network & Internet, internet. Mine says "Call over mobile network" when wifi calling is enabled and "Off" when it's disabled. The call over mobile network seems to imply to be that wifi calling isn't active.

Yeah seems so. Mine says mobile data won't auto connect.
I'm unsure if it will help you however can't hurt to check or try. Under my provider (google fi) I click on the gear and my settings are mobile data, roaming, w+ connections and allow 2g are toggled off. My preferred network type is fixed on LTE and off course wi-fi calling under calling.
I checked under verizon and it should allow the wifi calling however it isn't very clear if it only allows it as a fall back option.
