Unlock the bootloader at HTCDEV.com and then you can install a custom recovery and then flash SuperSu or su-3.0.7.

There is already plenty of guidance on this procedure if you would just search.
You need to start at HTCDEV.com and fully understand that procedure and consequences first.
Then you can search for installing a custom recovery and Superuser. Start by reading the sticky posts in this forum. That is what they are there for.
Also in looking at your past posts, you have been directed to the HTCDEV.com site twice now. How many times do we need to give you an answer?

[Q] Which is best to do first?

Have just got myself a new Xperia T and want the device rooted with Cyanogenmod 10 installed.
Do I unlock the bootloader and install CM10 first (as per instructions on CM wiki page) then root it using Doomlord's Easy Rooting Toolkit? Or do I root first, then unlock the bootloader and install CM10?
Many thanks in advance

If you unlock the bootloader there is no need to root.
cm10 is already a rooted rom
just unlock the bootloader, use fastboot to install the cm kernel, then use recovery to install the rom
read post 2 and 3 of the all in one thread to see how to so this
Its the very first thread in this section
That's great, thanks, will check through your guides.
So my 'root only' apps (such as AdAway) should work without problem just by unlocking the bootloader and installing CM10 then?

yes, cm10 is a pre-rooted rom (as are all custom roms, otherwise whats the point of them...)

[Q] Unlocking bootloader z1 4.3

Hello everyone,
I just bought Xperia Z1 and I'm running 4.3 and would like to unlock my bootloader. Since I never did it before I still need to backup my TA first. Since this needs root I'm stuck in a loop: Backup TA needs root to work but root on 4.3 needs an unlocked bootloader to install cwm to install SuperSU...so anyone can help me how to do this?
To root the last 4.3 you don't have to necessarily Unlock Bootlader, just follow the instructions on this page, post #16
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588331&page=2
After do that you can Backup TA and Unlock Bootlader but you have to UB only if you want flash Custom Roms with Custom kernels. To flash Custom Roms with Stock kernels or root your phone it's not necessary to unlock it.
