If you lock you're own phone by mistake you would have to apply again, so a different phone, no chance.
I want to unlock my new MI MIx.If i want make a new request he said directly download mi Unlock. Are you sure that i can unlock the mi mix with the first Mi MIx unlock tool??Or must i make a new Email addy for second Mi mix Unlock

In my opinion; you have to open a new account and log in with that account in miui site and device. Then follow unlocking process.
If you've already logged in with the account you used for unlocking before, which has already got a permission; it's normal to see that 'download mi unlock'.
Mi MIX
7.5.4 Épic
new phone, new ID and new account then new unlocker request basically, if you use new phone, new id and same account, only need to stay on this account with this phone a few moment... i suppose... then you will be able to unlock it...
I heard that i can with the old unlock tool unlock the new mi mix.a Member from xda had say that to me. He make it with old tool and old email
try it, unlock tool based on old request can work until it does verify device ID and only Xiaomi account / request...
Once you apply for unlock all devices you had with the same acount have the posibility of unlock; the unlock program verify with the miui servers if the acount logged in the device has the privilegies; you can onlock once from month.
Yesterday i and a friend we both received the mi mix 256gb.
I had an xiaomi mi max who was unlocked.
I used the tool to unlock my mi mix with the same account and it worked directluly without asking xiaomi.
The curious thing is that the Friends mi mix had another mi account
but i unlocked his phone with my mi account.

Unlock Bootloader

Hello, previously if we wanted to unlock bootloader we should first create a zuk account. I want to ask if now it's replaced by lenovo account at passport.lenovo.com
Also I want to ask if I can unlock bootloader with a shop-rom or I should first flash stock rom with qpst?
You don't have to create any account, just give your email address and they send you all the stuff.

[Question] Bootloader opened by seller, unable to close

Hello, I've just recieved a Xiaomi Mi8 phone but in this occasion it comes with unlocked bootloader by seller.
Some users say that in this case there's no way to lock BL, and in case of brick you won't be able to flash in EDL mode.
I'd like to know if there's a way to lock it and later unlock it with my own Xiaomi account ID, and leave phone like a brand new one from factory.
Thanks in advance.

( miui 10 Global Rom )I've see an option to on developer setting/ bootloader unlock/lock option in there u can bound or link ur mi account whit device to proceed to unlock whit mi flasher which i press it and received an notification .....now i was running rooted magick maybe that trigger something..... neither have try to see if is linked
Ez, just flash the phone with China Stable or China Developer ROM via Miflash , choose Clean and Lock, done
Choose clean and lock with any China miui ROM. ONLY CHINA ROM. Upgrade to a higher version only (Don't go from miui 10 to miui 9). Beware of this and you will avoid bricking your mi 8

Did you actually tested that? Or just a theory (I know that it has sense but pretty risky to try)
Thanks !
Thanks but I'll try after someone else has done it with success. I hope it works, maybe that way my Xiaomi ID could be linked to the phone.

It is a fact. The bricking only arise due to Xiaomi's implementation of a new policy, whereby they prevent relocking of a China variant of their phone when the global rom is installed. Your Mi 8 will only brick if it is not the global version but you flash global miui and try to lock. With that said however, I am not liable if you bricked your phone and you should indeed proceed modifying your phone with caution. All the best and feel free to ask if you have any questions!
PS. Since android oreo, Google has also implemented another policy which prevents rollback to older android versions. However, due to Xiaomi's (lack of) implementation of this, you can brick your phone when you downgrade for Miui 10 to Miui 9 for example. So always keep this in mind as it is a thing to watch out for now.
Thanks for the explanation, maybe there's a new Xiaomi policy trying to avoid selling phones for China market to other countries, that should be with Global versions.

Has anyone tried the procedure?
I want to know too. I think installing a Chinese version, you can block the bootloader. Then you unlock with your normal My Account, to avoid possible problems.
Some say that if you lock bootloader even with china ROM you'll get a brick. I'm not sure of that but I prefer to try when someone has done the procces with success.
One more problem are the 720h Xiaomi makes you wait for unlocking, sometimes more than 1000h. Very bad policy for old Mi Fans after years with Xiaomi devices.

read this. this guy did what he was supposed to do and ended up with a brick. dont relock your phone just because someone says so.
i am still looking for some one to explain why official way is better. the only case i found this to be true so far was if you manage to screw up and lock your chinese phone on global rom (or the other way around, same story). in that case, you are way better off because you can go to fastboot and unlock your phone, and after that it should boot. please share any info you have on this topic, but please also explain how and why. thanks
Thanks, then I'll keep it opened using Xiaomi.eu weekly ROM.

Bought a Stolen Mi Max 2, Help Me!

Hi, newbie here, and sorry for my bad English. I believe I accidentally bought an stolen phone. A random guy on my place sold Mi Max 2 for 10$. The thing is, it is formatted (cleaned) but it need mi account id & password. and when I ask the seller he blocked me.
Sent my phone to local shop for repair, and they remove mi account feature on this phone. so i'm using stock MIUI Global 11.0.2 without mi account.
My question is, if I want to flash custom ROM (for example pixel) for my phone, is it still asked for miui id after flash? or i am safe to flash any ROM? Sorry for the dumb question because i don't want to send my phone twice because they charged me a little expensive. Am I safe to flash custom rom?
Thanks in advance!
U can flash any custom roms
Custom roms (like pixel u mentioned) won't ask for any mi account id's
U can flash android 10 like evolution x ,havoc os etc its wont ask u any mi account, u can log in with your google account

I believe if I want to unlock my bootloader, Mi Unlock will need access to my Mi Account right? So if I didn't unlock bootloader, I couldn't flash any ROM? Am I wrong?
yes U need an mi account to unlock bootloader
I guess u can login to mi account in the miui rom
if you can give a brief description about the status of your phone (like were you able to login to the mi account or not now )

If someone offers a working phone for 10$ you should walk away. Try to find original owner.

Question Is there a way to flash from MIUI China to MIUI Global without unlocking the bootloader

Hi, so i recently got the new Mi 11 and stupid me, i didn't check what version it was and when i booted the phone up, i realized that i got the Chinese version. Due to me having no patience waiting the 7 days to unlock it i cant really use anything. Can someone help me
You have to wait
It is possible - but I do not recommend - you can in EDL mode bypassing xiaomi authorization, you may brick the phone
But to do it hi has to have athorized acout or someone who has It.

The guy on Telegram group who fixed my bricked mi 11 buy flashing through edl told me that he cannot flash a Global rom to my mi 10 with locked bootloader and CN rom. If he cannot do it for mi 10 it is unlikely that he can do it for mi 11.
