P40 PRO+ should work. but GSF is really random. Unfortunately, if it does not show up in step 20 after you attempt triggering it from Google Play Store, then you will need to start over again.

Push is still an known issue that have no solution yet

Hi,
It was working fine until Google Play Store was updated. Now, I have to redo the process again.
Hopefully, it will work again but for how long?
Is there anything to do not to let the Google Play store update?

I tried 10 times with 3 times getting 1 number and letter but each time I get this device is not play certified. I am able to access the play store. Has Google changed something or is my phone the problem as it was bought in China?

before you are trying to fix this issue, make sure you have uninstalled all the Google related apps: Google home, google maps, google classroom, Gmail, Chrome, youtube, youtube music, youtube kids, Family Link ... Nest, Linkedin (even this is from MS, but it will trigger the Play protect error) ... and there are much more that I cannot list them all. If any of residual apps exist, that will 100% lead to failure. I know it is hard to uninstall all of them, i made this mistake all the time, and then later on found out that some hidden app stayed in the phone, which i would need to do it again and again. Therefore, factory reset is always the best to ensure a clean system, but i also understand it is hard for people to reinstall everything and re-login all the accounts.
Another possible reason is: the google play service version, there was an update last month, and so far i found Play Services 21.18.15 is the last good and stable version. you can use that instead of 05... file from the preparation files.

Honor 20Pro HJC-LX9 running GMS smoothly even though Playstore is not certified. I think I will do a factory reset and start all over again.

Lost Huawei ID access

Long story short, yesterday (15/12/17) i updated the "Huawei Mobile Services" app then lost access to my account. Kept receiving error "Incorrect account or password" etc. Tried resetting, clearing cache etc nothing worked.
Stumbled across the following post while searching for P10/Mate 9 Oreo news/info:

Edit: update 19/12/17 - after rolling back to factory version there is a HMS version 2.5.3.301 update offered in Google play store which, works fine.
I lose access to my ID when I update HMS internally to version 2.5.3.302. This particular version isn't offered on play store.

Hi mate, I encountered the same issue after HMS upgrade. Thank you for your temporary solution to make Huawei ID credentials work again.
Now I only wonder when we could proceed to a new app upgrade and when Huawei can grant us that access credentials will keep on working for european/western region's users ..

so for now the only solution is to uninstal "huawei mobile services" from google play store, then install it again. You should end with version 2.5.3.301. This version wokrs well.
After login you will be prompted to update wia in app update to 2.5.2.302, but DON´T install it (just select later) because this version is the cause of the login problem.
Just wait for version above 2.5.3.302.

Now Huawei ID is prompting to upgrade to version 2.5.3.302. So, could I try to install this release?
EDIT: I answer by my own. ... I did it, and actually the last version (2.5.3.302) works flawlessly.

Just updated HMS internally to version 2.5.3.302 and it seems to be working. So perhaps the app required a rollback first then upgrade.

I would highly recommend you to try again and do all the steps in the right order.
It's important that you first deactivate Google Cloud Messaging and *then* Cloud Registration. If you try to do it the other way around the Cloud Messaging switch doesn't work.

Tried this sign-in with P40 Pro with previously (july) installed gms, and it does not work: account sign-in and sign-in verification works, but right after that comes the connection error message.
Also tried this sign-in with Galaxy A40 and it works.
This seems to be the same google sign-in issue as with all new Huawei/Honor devices since this mid-september.

I signed in with my P40 Pro just yesterday and Vanced seems to be working fine, except for editing my videos.

Yes, but I did a factory reset like a week ago.
I just get this error message when trying to sign-in.

I can now confirm that there is a problem with having GMS and Micro G Vanced at the same time if you already have GMS setup.
I downgraded my phone a few days ago to grab GMS and cannot sign in, even tho Micro G Vanced has added a special login option for Huawei Devices.
You can actually still be logged in to GMS and Vanced at the same time. I won't upload a guide to this, but I will post a screenshot of a comment below my video
that explains you how to do that. full credit goes to Vlad Zahiu.
2 days ago I made my P40 pro log in to Vanced; GMS already installed ... !!!
Download and install MicroG first, then Vanced. Without opening any of the applications, uncheck Google cloud messaging, then Google device registration.
After that you log in to Vanced, preferably by choosing the Huawei button ... if it doesn't work (it boots continuously at "wait a second") or this option doesn't appear yet (login on Huawei phone), try several times.

I might wait for a while, I currently have partly working gms, just a lot of play protect errors etc and no location services in third party apps, but phone is working, so I do not want to risk resetting it and then not being able to reinstall them [emoji57]

I think so, i tried on 154 and got the error pop up on lzplay, im downgrading to 131 at the moment
I downgraded my P40 Pro to 131 , everything works but i can't get rid of errors from play store. The solution doesn't work to get rid of them I tried this 7 times and always got error spam .

Ok i tried it 10 times and in step when u use files to get rid of errors after installing second file from solicion errores and restarting the phone the spam of google errors starts again . Anyone got this method form start to end without problems ?

Open notification centre, drag the notification to the left, click the cog wheel, now disable notifications.

Ok it seems to be working fine now. If someone have errors after restarts you have to repeat steps from 15:50 to 20 min .

So the process is easy.
1) Downgrade to latest EMUI
2) Follow these video

3) Install all and you can now again upgrade to Harmony OS and it works well.
Now I have only the problem that I did uninstalled MicroG and can't loggin to my second account.
I am afraid to reinstall it for logging in.

I'm encountering an error when I try launching Google Assistant app. It prompts an error in Chinese "to check network connection, because of strange network activity detected". Doesn't allow me to continue after that.
Anyone having the same issue? I'm on EMUI11.

Is your push notifications working also with harmony os? If so what method did you use to get to work? Worried about upgrading from emui 11 to harmony os with Google and push working with emui 11 as of today.
Currently freezing gsf to get push notifications working.

HELP ON XIAOMI MI8! After MIUI 12.05.1 update ALL Google related apps DON'T WORK ANYMORE!

Hello everyone, I am not a developer and don't really understand much of the ROM ROOT world and similar.. But I have a huge problem with my Mi 8. After the updating to MIUI 12.05.1 I could no longer open the Google play store, it kept crashing as son as I tapped on the icon, for that reason I uninstalled it and then I had to download the apk directly from the browse. But even after i reinstalled it, it kept on crashing, not working. I also have google maps and gmail on the phone, which I have not unistalled but I cannot sign in them nor add google account either in youtube or in the phone.
I currently live in Italy but I bought this phone in 2018 in China, so it's the chinese version, this is what makes it even more difficult to understand how to repair it.
I don't know how to solve this problem..
If there's anyone that had the same experience or anyone that has any idea on how to solve this problem please help me, I'd be very grateful. Thank you very much
Are you sure you installed the right version for your phone?
I think the latest version is 12.02. At least that's the version I have...
Did you solve your problem in the meantime?
just wipe, format entire device and reflash with global rom (choose fastboot methods)..

It went on auto update, and then I checked in the info and it says 12.05. Btw I haven't solved the problem yet

I didn't understand much of what you said.. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to this.
