Anyonte tried installed LineageOS for microG?

I have seen at the list of LineageOS for microG downloads, images for jasmine (Mi A2) of the "old" LineageOS 14.1. But I have tried flashing the last one without success following this procedure:
Boot TWRP
Wipe caches, system, data, storage.
Download the latest image to /sdcard/
Try installing the image
Unfortunately the last step fails as shown in the attached screenshot.
Is there any way to flash this ROM?
Also are there any other ROMs supporting firmware spoofing? (in order to be able to install microG).
"Jasmine" is a ZTE device, the one on LineageOS and microg isn't for A2
That makes sense, but hasn't the Mi A2 also have the Jasmine name? That's confusing...
OK, I'll be more careful from now on, thanks!

Redmi 4X: TWRP, LineageOS, Gapps (Cannot update ROM) (nightly) *error*

Hi everyone,
I'm new here though but am a Xiaomi user from the beggining of Xiaomi into devices with Redmi Note 3G Enhanced.
Currently, I own a Redmi 4X and I would like your expert lights please. I've flashed the latest twrp from twrp.me for my santoni device. Then flashed the latest build from LineageOS Official source + Gapps before booting up for first time. Everything was working perfectly until I decided to flash the latest update of LineageOS as I've seen in my updater it was released. So, I downloaded it through the updater and tried to flash it...
I came up with this "Failed to unmount /system (device or resource busy)" after that re-booted to LineageOS and everything was messed up with Google Services & Apps etc. Then I went back to twrp recovery and tried to flash again the rom but I was still getting that message so I understood something am doing wrong. Also santoni has dm-verity enabled which I know something about but just an info. I really wanna stick with LineageOS on my Redmi 4X forever but I'm afraid to flash it again. I've flashed MIUI 10 Beta by fastboot but now I wanna go back to LineageOS forever (addicted).
My only problem is: After successfuly flashing LineageOS and Gapps, I cannot apply (flash) updates to update the ROM to the latest nightly build due to this error above.
Kind regards,
peryson
Try with different recovery. For example with this

Instead of trying an unofficial recovery, do I have an option to unmount system manually before flashing through Official TWRP?

You can download latest Lineage OS build and dirty flash it (without any wipes) (so you can unmout system parition). And I don't see any issue in using unoffical twrp.
I also have experienced same error once during upgrade "failed to unmount /system"
Eventually I wiped everything and did clean flash from scratch. This is really annoying issue and demonstrates that upgrade system is not 100% reliable for some reason.
I'm not sure however is it Lineage or twrp issue.

Question How to install AospExtended-v9.1-I006D-OFFICIAL-20220510-1943.zip

Hi
When installing the new image
AospExtended-v9.1-I006D-OFFICIAL-20220510-1943.zip
I get again a ramdump error when I try to boot the Zenfone 8 after the installation -- just like when installing the previous release from march. After installing the image the Zenfone does not boot anymore -- not from any of the slots and also not into the recovery mode. The only thing that still works is booting into fastboot mode and I must reinstall the phone from scratch using the raw image for Android 11.
So I seems to be doing something wrong ... what is the correct process to install this image?
I tried installing the image using the recovery from Aospextended 9.0 and also using the recovery from Lineage 18.1 and Lineage 19.1 --nothing worked. Using OTA to install the image does also not work.
The only Aospextended image I was able to install successfully was the first Image from February:
That image could be installed via sideload using the recovery image of Lineage 18.1
Any help is appreciated.
regards
Bernd.
From what I've experienced; the ramdump issue seems to happen when trying to boot into an OS/Recovery that is calling for a different firmware version than what is on your current device.
For example:
- My Zenfone 8 is running Lineage 19, which requires the Android 12 firmware.
- If I flashed Lineage 18, which requires Android 11 firmware, I get ramdump, until I flash the proper firmware.
The links below are from the Asus' website.

Thanks for the hint -- I got the same error while first installing AospExtended . Therefor now I always first install the original Android 12 image from ASUS and then the AospExteneded. That approach does work for the first version of AospExtended on the ASUS Zenfone ( I did that now more then one time...)
But it does not work with AospExtended images from March and May .

Hi again
I have now managed the installation using this procedure:
- Install the raw image of the original Android 12 for the device (from the links in your message)
- install the vendor_boot image and the boot/recovery image from LineageOS 18
- install AospExtended 9.x via sideload from within the recovery
Lessions learned are:
installing the a raw image of the original Android 11 and updating to the original Android 12 is different to installing a raw image of Android 12.
Thanks again for the hint -- now I only wait for a AospExtended 9.1 image without GAPPS

Bernd

Magisk on Lineage OS 18.1 GSI

Hello. I will describe it briefly:
I'm about to flash my Redmi 6A(cactus), to Lineage OS 18.1 via GSI using OSS(ALPS)-vendor on arm64. I have read some information and it says that installing Magisk could cause a bootloop. I want to know if it is true.
Which image do I want to use - https://sourceforge.net/projects/andyyan-gsi/files/lineage-18.x/
Image - lineage-18.1-20220715-UNOFFICIAL-arm64_bgS-vndklite.img.xz
P.S. I haven't started flashing yet, I want to consider all the little things and conventions before flashing the phone.

regarding 1)
How did you install TWRP? And which TWRP version ?
The correct method to install TWRP is
