Question Hypothetical question about reverting (or downgrading to android 10) to android 11 stock rom from android 11 (custom rom) - Redmi 9 Power / 9T

Hello friends, so like the title says, this is purely hypothetical and for learning purposes. What would the process be for me revert back to stock ROM if, taking into consideration that I had flashed a 'no OSS' firmware then installed a custom rom with android 11.
Consider that I already have downloaded a stock ROM with android 10. How would I avoid possible errors to successfully go back to stock android 10/11 from custom rom with android 11.
Thanks.

New with a Merlin - Want it to root and install custom recovery

Hey guys,
So, I've got a Redmi Note 9, not that I'm not happy with the stock firmware but the reason I got this phone was so I could play around a bit with other ROMs (had a replacement iPhone X and was just bored with it).
So, I'm not exactly new in Android world, all my previous phones were HTC, Samsung, Nexus, and all rooted and running custom roms.
Just so I don't feck up the process, can someone guide me to the process? I'm guessing I need to root it first, then install the custom recovery and go on from there?
Any specific advice ?
Thank you so much in advance.
Just flash the pathed vbmeta.img together the magisk patched boot.img and your device will be rooted.
I assume it's fine that in on miui 12 official & stable ?
Everything is working perfectly on miui 12 android 10 and miui 12 android 11.
Thanks, I'm going to start digging tomorrow.

Need some help guy's

Hello you all. I'm new to this phone. And I'm on Android 10 MIUI 12.0.4, but I need to go back to Android 9. Any stable custom ROM, with support for Nova launcher. Because the MIUI when I use it gets all bugy. I need all the files needed to do this. Because when I try to install an old custom ROM I get stuck in fastboot mode. Thanks for your patience. I'm using the global version.

Question Question regarding TWRP(or any custom recovery) and Custom ROM's

Background: I had a MI A3 earlier and after 1 year of usage and researching a lot on forums I went a step ahead to unlock the bootloader. This incident prompted me to install custom recoveries and ROM's. Everything was good until the Android 11 dropped and it started hard-bricking devices. Now I was on custom rom and hence not in a position to install the official update immediately, this saved me from the hard brick. After all the menace was cleared by Xiaomi and I had installed the official Android 11 update, and I wanted to go back to customization. I had heard a lot of news in the telegram channels and on forums like XDA that the Android 11 firmware was a complete mess for developers to make custom ROM's , even TWRP could not be installed. Even rolling back to Android 10 was not an option as unlocking the bootloader and flashing the fastboot rom would brick the device. Thus I gave up my hope on customization. Now I have got myself a Redmi Note 10 Pro Indian variant, and after a thorough research my hopes are up again for customization.
Now my question is whether an android version update[(maybe android 12)(now I am coming across Redmi Note series phones getting two major Android version update since the Redmi Note 8 Pro)] on my Note 10 Pro would affect my ability to install TWRP(or any custom recovery) after unlocking the bootloader and later installing Custom ROM's ???
I would also like to know whether the Note 10 Pro has ARB enabled?

Should I upgrade to the official rom? or would it make rooting harder?

haven't upgraded to android 12 yet. would it make rooting and putting custom os harder?
I haven't upgraded either but the people in the modding group have at worst just used a different version of magisk (canary) with everything working.

AOSP Android 11.0 – Kernel 4.14 – Yoshino

Hello
How can I flash SW_BINARIES_FOR_XPERIA_ANDROID_11_4.14_V9A_YOSHINO.ZIP over the stock version?
Software binaries for AOSP Android 11.0 – Kernel 4.14 – Yoshino (latest) - Sony Developer World
developer.sony.com
Tried to understand the official manual from here but can't understand where can I get the rest of the img files (boot, system...) - https://developer.sony.com/develop/...-aosp-android-android-11-0-0/#tutorial-step-8
You don't want to combine the AOSP binaries and stock. Those files are meant for pure AOSP builds that don't use the Sony vendor files. Most recent XZ1c ROMs start from stock, so would break if you changed to OEM files.
So if you were doing another ROM, you could go into fastboot and flash this partition and any others from the ROM, or maybe do some of the others from recovery. (e.g. some ROMs might come with their own rather than TWRP.)
Perhaps better question is to ask what you're trying to do with them here.

Hey @tonsofquestions ! I just want to upgrade to Android 11 And I assume it's not LineageOS (Which already tried but wants another OS to try)
It depends on the ROM, not the Android version. The Lineage 18.1 ROM is Android 11, and is based on stock.
Compare that to something like this one https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/g8441-xz1c-lilac-aospextendedrom-oreo.3859656/ which says it's AOSP, and has a step in the instructions to download and install the OEM files.
I also don't think there are many non-Lineage ROMs for 11. Maybe Havoc, but that's still stock-based. Which specific ROM do you want to try?

Want to flash this Android 11 img, and not quite know how....
Probably by following the instructions in the thread.
But if you don't include a link to the image, it's impossible to be any more specific.
