android 12 updated, need to get rid of persistent icon on screen - Google Pixel 4 XL Questions & Answers

Hi, as above. After updating this really annoying eyedropper icon that if pressed, changes the colour of everything on screen. Mostly It's just in the bleeping way.
What is it and how do I get rid of it?
Thanks,
Zo0

Go to settings then the accessibility section then the text and display section the colour correction shortcut is what you need to turn off

that's the first thing/place I looked but upon further review and getting used to the new interface, the radio button is on a drop-down menu under CC and it says " colour correction shortcut lol "
I guess I was in such a hurry I missed it.
Thank you,
Zo0

Dialer hidden setting

Hi all. I'm looking and trying but I can't find the setting to make all the buttons hidden during a call and just show a tab to drag up to show the dialer. I've set it before but it gets reset everytime I update cm7. Thanks!
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
Ok, still no solution, so maybe this will help....
currently my in call screen looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It used to look like this:
Somewhere through updating the cyanogen 7 nightlies I lost the option for "Force Touch UI" so that option is of no help.
any help would be great as I keep hitting buttons with my face because the proximity sensor on the phone is crap

The heroc does not have a proximity sensor.
As to the other question, I have not been able to find the option to hide the buttons. The only thing I can think to do would be to set the screen to turn off sooner.
There was an app or mod a while back that used the light sensor to turn the screen off or make the buttons go away. I cant remember what it was called but should work.
The second screen shot looks like an alternative dialer app. Might be worth it to try a non-stock dialer app to see if it does what you want.

Oscillating green light & other theme question.

For the life of me, I can't located the file to edit the oscillating green light that appears in the notification bar when you're on a phone call. Would any of you have an idea where it could be?
My other question is on the pic below I'm trying to change the white area to black, but can't located where the file to edit is. Thanks if anyone can help.

The first part of your question, the green light is in com.htc.resources.apk/res/drawable/common_statusbar_glow_green.png
There is also a red one.
I'm at work right now and off the top of my head I can't answer the second question.

[Q] Is it possible to change docking settings?

Hi there,
Apologies if this is a noobie question, but is it possible to change the docking settings from the blue background, and time/weather display? Or is there an app that will do the job?
I wondered if there might be something that could do a slide show of my pictures, or a screensaver - just something a little more entertaining for when I'm bored at work!
I did have a search of the forums, but couldn't see an immediate answer.
Many thanks in advance
Just get a live wallpaper from the market. I use one and its alright. Look..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u8NhYBGRVY
Thanks for that - but a live wall paper is not the solution - I have a very nice Galaxy livepaper, but the moment I plug it into my dock/charger, I get this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}

Is there anyway to change the setting for this?
Cheers
[ah... can't post links because I'm a noobie.. oh well...]
You can press the menu button on the bottom left of your device. That will bring up a menu and you can go into the setting and change things about the background. Cheers
That's excellent - just what I was after - thank you so much!
Hmmm... it shows my nice galaxy live wall paper for a bit, and then for some reason reverts back to the blue screen again - is there another setting somewhere?
Many thanks

Hold down the power button and I think it was remove statusbar or something like that just beneath the power off button (I dont have my xoom because its in warranty) then the black bar down will be removed

thanks for the input, My problem was not the Status bar, but the control Ui being all squished up-top, i emailed someone else who had this issue, and he helped me out, basically Just told me to delete the game with all data related to it, and re-installed it again, now its all fixed.
:victory:
Im not sure but it looks like you have a phone version installed ????
You mean pirated version? LOL
Anyhow, tried settings? I believe this game you can move the controls around.

Question persistent "NFC tag detected" after updating to MIUI14 Official Rom

Hi,
since the update (via OTA) of my 11 Ultra to MIUI 14 (official rom), I constantly get the following notification:
"NFC tag detected
Looks like you haven't interacted with detected NFC tags for a long time. Your device won't read or write tags for n..."
the text ends there and tapping on the notification does not do anything. Pressing on it only gives me the snoozing button and the settings button, which redirects me to the NFC Service on the phone where the "show notifications" is on and cannot be turned off.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I have tried disabling this via ADB following this guy's suggestion but no luck.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/uzk22m
any help?
thanks
gotta be the online one i guess...
Getting this too, typical MIUI software design stupidity.

I just can't believe no one else has complained about it. I'm literally thinking of changing my phone because of it. I get this notification every 5 minutes and it hits won't go away!!
