How To Guide How to increase the battery life of the Xiaomi 11T / T Pro - Xiaomi 11T Pro

Hello guys, I want to tell you about the adjustments that I have made to my Xiaomi 11T Pro and that have improved battery consumption, keeping the refresh rate of the screen at 120Hz. I would appreciate if you could tell me how it went. Greetings.
1.- DEACTIVATE AUTOMATIC UPDATES.
In this way we will avoid that the mobile is constantly looking for updates and therefore consuming battery.
1.1- We go to the Play Store and in Settings / General / Update applications automatically, we mark not update applications automatically.
1.2- Once this is done, we go to the Miui updates. We follow the route Settings / About the phone, click on the number 12 that is in the upper left as when we want to update
and then in the three points that appear in the upper right, we go to the update settings option and deactivate download automatically.
2.- DEACTIVATE THE WIFI ASSISTANT.
This option allows the mobile to automatically change the network, without us having to be aware of it, but it uses the battery unnecessarily. We are going to configure it to do it manually.
We follow the path Adjust / Wifi / Wi-Fi Assistant, enter and deactivate the option to select the best networks automatically.
3.- DEACTIVATE THE GAME TURBO.
This option is aimed at those users who do not use the phone to play, if so, deactivate it because it uses a lot of battery. I do not play much, rather little, even so I do not have it deactivated.
We go to Settings and in the search bar type game turbo. Mark the 2nd option that of Game Turbo Security, it will take you to the app, once inside, mark options that are next to the + sign, at the top right. Once inside, uncheck the Game Turbo option, it is the first.
4.-DEACTIVATE THE PRINTING SERVICES.
We have these services to connect to printers active all the time and the phone will be constantly looking for printers so that we can connect.
We go to Settings and at the top in the search bar we will write print. Click on the only option that comes out, now click on System printing services, once inside we will deactivate it. We will see that on the screen below, we have a blue bar with a text that says looking for printers in this way we prevent it from constantly searching.
5.-REMOVE BLOATWARE:
I have removed the following but it depends on each one, they could remove more.

Let's go Developer Options.
Registry Buffer Size, I have it set to 1 mega.
Window animation level / Transitions animation level / Transition duration level. All three are by default at 1x, lower them to 0.5x.
Display: Manual brightness, almost full, in dark mode
Screen / Color scheme in Vivid.
Greetings.

Good advice. As a how to guide you should include more "how to" steps. For instance how to disable apps via adb.

How much SOT are getting now?

No, you don't need root to to debloat, i recommend turning on usb debugging in developer setting and use Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot tools

Pretty disappointing. Around 5 - 6. Rarely 7h but by activating battery saver mode and with light usage. Not very well optimized TBH. My 3 years old Galaxy note 9 with its degraded battery has the same battery life. 11t pro should be a 2 day phone without any issue

I tried but couldn't uninstall a single app. Always got the "not installed for 0" error message. Any thoughts?

Well I didn't uninstall them, disable is enough, especially with the apps that can't be disabled via setting.

Yup, pretty much disappointed with the Battery performance compared to my Redmi K30 Pro Zoom.
It barely gets a 7hr SOT and it have a 5000mah Battery. My K30 pro only has 4700mah and it easily gets a 7hr SOT with 10 to 15% remaining battery.
I'm waiting for an EU Rom for ViLi as they do a good job at optimizing their roms.

Yeah battery life isn't great on the 11t pro. It hardly gets to 7h SoT. I have a Poco X3 Pro AMD it easily gets to 10h SoT.
Hope this gets better with future updates.

remove bloatware by using
ADB AppControl

Other things that really improve battery life are :
- Disable always on display
- disable doble tap to wake/sleep
After doing the second, my battery improved drastically you'll have to. Get used to lose that feature, but for me. It's worth it.

The best intermediate option is to have the always on display on but set to turn off after ten seconds, then a single tap on the screen will show the always on display and any notifications, this saves powering on the phone to check the time or if there are waiting messages, so this saves power, as the always on display does not wake the main CPUs.
Double tap to wake should not be a power drain. With light use over the holidays I'm getting 5 days between charges and that has double tap to wake enabled. The only way double tap to wake might be a power drain is if it is constantly being doubled tapped by accident and the phone keeps turning on.
Hope that helps.

what are your settings/usage?

Display on 120Hz, 4g network, all the settings from 1st post except nr.4, which i aplied yesterday, nr.5. and buffer size. I also disabled animations.
Standard apps were used during this time, 9gag, vanced youtube, mail, messaging, camera....
If your phone need 20 min of charging from 0 to 100 , leave it on for additional 10 minutes.

Battery great or nah? (120hz)

You need to close all background apps and reduce the brightness. This is at least.

Closing background apps is unnecessary due to Doze mode and Xiaomi battery saving, as background apps are effectively frozen most of the time on Android. Having them opened then closed and unloaded from memory just means when you need them again they have to be loaded and re-initialised which increases power consumption as it takes more work to load an app than to bring one from the background to foreground. By all means give it a go, but generally it is pointless unless the app is misbehaving, but most are not these days.
Looking at the screen shot, it would seem a lot of battery was used by playing Mimicry which would use quite a bit of processing power plus power for the screen at 120Hz. It doesn't look too bad to me.

I personally think it might be because you are using the 120w charger of the 11t pro. I tried accubattery and it should some weird results. Try it with a 33w or lower charger...

The Galaxy Note 9 (exynos) IS a battery phone.

I found myself customizing my new device as always from day one. I'm still running rootless with great satisfaction: one ui in superb in managing screen dimensions, good lock 2019 gives me the perk to optimize my multitasking, thanks to the community i run great gestures interface. I use no compromise: always on high performance mode, WQHD+, 4G+ always on, sync with 2 push emails 90% of the time it's on, lot of Bluetooth devices connected specially when I'm home (headphones, computer, amazon echo, bluetooth earbuds). I made a very light debloat with adhell that counts about 20 apps disabled (including all bixby services, which don't drain much battery tough).
I have about 180GB occupied out of 512, roughly 2.5/3 gb of ram always available and no heavy app optimization services enabled (just adaptive battery as far as I can tell). I normally DON'T close apps from multitasking. I make heavy usage of multiwindow specially from messaging apps trough notification bubbles. Always on display only when I'm home. You can see below my usage which may vary from day to day but consistently delivers incredible performances and very exciting battery results.
The device is an SM-N960F 8/512, so it's the exynos one.
In following posts I'm posting other days of battery I have record of in as much detail as I could get at the time.
Day 2
Day 3
Same Setup here.
My Exynos last 3 Days with 7Hrs Screen On, or 2 Days with 8-9Hrs Screen On.
Right ATM iam on :
76% Battery left.
Usage Time : 20Hrs and 46 Min.
Screen On : 2Hrs and 3 Min.
Mixed Usage between Wifi and 4G.
But just using Samsung Browser, Youtube and Whatsapp. No Games or whatever.
Maybe i can reach this Time 8 Hrs Screen On with 4 Days of usage. But i think, maximum is 3 Days with 7Hrs.
I dont fight for battery. Iam just a light user. And i did debloat and use routines (Android 9). No enerysaver. 1080P
Exynos here.
Exynos here too
4G/4G+ always active outdoors, WiFi at home
Screen brightness on manual, above 60% most of the time
1440p active, I refuse to downgrade the display to 1080p
Bluetooth on moderately, headphones & computer
Chrome as my browser
Social apps include Twitter & WhatsApp
"Disabled" a couple services through adb (pm uninstall) method ~ not including Bixby although I never use it.. ever
Always on display is set to "Tap To Show"
Consistently leave my house with 100% battery early hours 6-8am & return home with 30% (or higher) without fail
My charging method varies, I either fast charge it in the evening & got to bed with it on 100% and wake up with it on 97%+ or I wirelessly charge overnight and wake with it on 100% using the official Samsung convertible charger
Overall, I couldn't be happier with its battery life.

May I ask do you doing any restoration, or data transfer from Smart Switch, Samsung Cloud or Google backup?
Or you just set it as a fresh new device?
I NEVER fast charge because I really have no need with this battery performance. @maple_mak I never wiped the device since i bought it, I made a dirty flash via ota for upgrading to Pie/OneUi, then installed as zip all the betas until I upgraded to stable and had 3 security patches from that moment. At the time I tried to fresh install as many things as possible but of course my samsung account and google account synced many data. If you have problems with battery I suggest you to choose wisely the apps you use and monitor their battery usage carefully. You can use gsam for that. The idea is that you need the device to do as less things as possible both in background and foreground: any automated activity drains battery, use features only if you strictly need them.
if you really can't understand what your battery problem is, I suggest a fresh install of the OS and most important after that a good set up of the system without installing "garbage". With garbage I also mean things that are useful to you but drain battery and execute tasks continously
No idea how you manage that. I've already dropped 12% in 2 hours ? this is my first Samsung since the S7 Edge, I probably won't get another after this. Not a fan of OneUI and the countless preinstalled junk apps that I never use lol

Oh I know. Just can't be bothered having to do it lol rather they weren't there to begin with. I mainly bought it for the stylus, but I rarely use it. I think a smaller device in the future will suit better

You're welcome! I hope you got a good deal - I'm under contract with samsung so I will switch for few bucks to the note 10 as it gets on the market, tough the idea of staying on this note 9 for a year more doesn't hurt me at all. Enjoy your new machine
Since last 2 Pie Updates..batterylife getting closer and closer to Oreo. A bit more optimazion and we are back on Oreo runtime.

Yes! It's not all the story since the apps consumption is negligible if you don't really use them, for instance be careful to disable functions that use sensor like the ones in advanced features, try to use as less bluetooth perks with the s-pen, careful with location and try to stay below 80% brightness. Charge without fast charging and stay as much as you can between 15%-85% battery.
Here the apps/services i disabled:
"Bixby" voice wake-up
Apps edge
Bixby home
Bixby Service
Bixby Vision
Bixby Voice
Bixby Voice stub
BixbyVision Framework
Bookmark Provider
Calendar (I use the Google one)
Clipboard edge
CoolEUKor (it's a font... whatever)
Customization Service (be careful this can mess up some elements of the ui like multitasking. I use good lock apps and have no problems. You can always disable Customization Service from your samsung account manager even if you leave the app active on your device: https://www.samsung.com/us/account/customization-service/ )
Edge Screen
Facebook
Facebook App Installer
Facebook App Manager
Facebook Services
Finance (yahoo)
Galaxy essential widget
Gear VR Service
Google Play Movies & TV
Google Play Music
Google VR Services
Instagram
Kids Home Installer
Linkedin
OneDrive
People Edge
PowerPoint
Samsung Galaxy Friends
Samsung Internet Panel
Secure Wi-Fi
Sports (yahoo)
SystemUIBixby2
Tasks Edge
Wearable Manager Installer
Youtube (I use another app)
upday
of course you can enable the ones you want if you use them
I also changed my dns to 1.1.1.1, don't know the impact of it in terms of battery
Black theme to everything you are comfortable with
Setting to auto the always on display or using the feature that doesn't allow the phone to turn on in pocket use the ambient light sensor and proximity sensor - this drains some battery
Try to block as many notifications from apps as you can
My suggestions could never end XD try navigate every menu and value every option. Shortcuts don't really matter but the things related to sensors or automation consume battery. Every little thing you can adjust to your real need make the difference
Thanks for the tips @Sprov
Did you uninstall them via adb or just put them to sleep?
DNS, you just using an app for that?
Thanks
I use adhell both for disable apps and change my dns. It's a bit tricky to setup fhe first time, there's an official guide, with some passages peculiar for the note 9. You can search for the thread here on xda. You need also to get a knox license from samsung, all of this requires about 30 minutes the first time. Main use of adhell is ad blocking at system level but it has a lot of features. If you're only interested in dns and disabling apps you can do it with adb with the latter, for the DNS there's an option in the Connection settings on the phone: in More Connection Settings tap on Private DNS and type 1dot1dot1dot1.cloudflare-dns.com
Adhell doesn't work anymore because samsung changed criteria to get KNOX license. From now on I will use package disabler pro OR ADB to disable system apps and services, for ADS blocking I changed the DNS from the "more connection settings", you can use the one from ADguard or get a customizable one from nextdns.com
Man, I can't believe you're getting such awesome battery life from the SM-N960F. I have the same device (512GB variant) and I barely get 3hours SOT. I think I could get more SOT if I really pushed for it but I don't use my phone as often as some. I just don't see why it should be down to less than 15% when I go to bed (11-12pm) after taking it off charge in the morning at around 8am!
I did a google drive app restore when I set up the device so maybe this is causing the battery drain? or is there a chance I have a faulty device? I am still within my 30 day return period with the seller so should I return it?

Question [Battery Drain ISSUE] S21 Ultra 512Gb/16Gb Exynos, Pics with 3 Different Scenarios in Post , BATTERYEXPERTS HELP!

Hey guys,
So i got my Ultra chunk on Jan 22nd (Italy shipments were early) and been testing it non stop on different scenarios on aprox. 10 charge cycles by now and i want to share some of them to find out which apps are draining it in standby idle and WHY CANT I GET MORE THAT 5.30hrs of SOT...i watch every Exynos battery life test on Youtube and I wonder why i cant get those kind of numbers on my phone... is it because of 512gb/16gb? is it because of apps/settings?
1st scenario NORMAL (before update)(with lots of apps on sleep) :
https://imgur.com/a/WDmsNZK
2nd scenario HEAVY (after the update) :
https://imgur.com/a/S5Etest
3rd scenario IDLE FOR 2.30hrs (after update):
https://imgur.com/a/p34u7WE
4th scenario without SS: There was a scenario where i only used camera for a day with lots of UHD and single take (which is heavy on cpu and takes lot of power and heats up the phone in cold weather) and it was around 20% with around 2hours of SOT and lots of camera time...
PS: also i want to add that i added every app and pic/video from my NOTE 8(which i got 4.30hr of SOT!!) and the app count with aprox~590apps (including system apps) and its only ~200gb after i copied bunch of movies to it. I cleared cached 2times by now, tried putting apps to sleep (around 260 of them) and then tried the same apps on deep sleep and today i deleted all of those to let system do that for me.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
adamlee2012 said:
Mine lost 2% in 57min of not been used. Definitely not normal. Hopefully Samsung are aware and send an update asap.

Which storage option and which variant? Exynos or SD?
what's your average SOT time when you're using it ?
Same issue
I doubt it's the 16gb/512gb configuration, and to be honest the first screenshot seems pretty reasonable, as youtuber tests are in perfect conditions and not switching apps or on mobile data.
So few questions:
WQHD/120Hz?
WiFi/5G/4G? If one of the later, what was your signal like?
Are literally all of your apps sleeping? If so that can actually be a drain if you're fully reopening apps that you use regularly. I would deep sleep anything you don't use often and let the system determine the rest
Emoji ap and chrome look like they're using quite a bit of battery considering very little use, have seen problems with chrome eating battery so might be worth finding a replacement.
Also seen smarthings has been said to be causing a lot of issues, but don't know if that's visible drain that gets reported or something that just causes it in the background.
Compared to my S10+, my s21u exynos seems to be closing apps way less aggressively i.e. YouTube Vanced is eating battery in the background unless I fully close it even if not watching a video. Hoping this improves with usage.
When starting from scratch (100%) with no apps open, my drain is like 0.6% per hour on WiFi with tap to make AOD, but seems to struggle to idle that well after use unless manually closing apps

WQHD+ 120Hz
No reception here and i didn't put it on airplane mode but now im starting to do so i got 5.47hr of SOT this cycle
Wifi is 2.4ghz with good reception (not great), i had apps that i didn't use on sleeping (removed them) , then did kinda same selection on DEEP SLEEP (again removed them too) and wanted to system to configure it but now system is not putting anything to sleep so its 0 in all three sections.
i used emoji AR for the first time in that cycle so that's why its there and never appeared after that. Chrome beta makes phone heat up slightly but i like it and can't switch to other browsers because of numerous reasons...
and about smartthings, should i unistall it completly or should i disable something for it?
also i removed facedata and also found that FINGERPRINT SCANNER was on ALWAYS ON so i switched it off too.
deep sleep messed up the apps , should i put the apps on sleep again?
also my animation scales are all set at 0.5x in developer settings could that drain it too?
also i jumped straight from note 8 so i dont know about the tips and tricks that S20 users did, is there a specific set of settings that i should turn off/on?
EDIT: Wanted to add if you have goodlock on your phones too? i have everyworking goodlock mod on my phone from galaxy store ( they're available in store just like US), could one of them cause the drainings?
appreciate the replies !

Sounds like your apps are the problem. Go in the settings and restrict background data and background operation of them.
Google Play Services, Google Backup Transport and Framework are prime suspects.
Clear the data for all three.
Try blocking them with Karma Firewall*.

If you have a WiFi connection and have turned on WiFi calling, you shouldn't need to go into aeroplane mode.
This YouTube video explains the different sleep bins so worth a watch (
), but I would also let it settle for a few days if you're moving everything around every 5 minutes.
If it's saved passwords you are stuck in chrome for, I recommend a manager like bitwarden (works across all devices and browsers).
Good lock and animations shouldn't impact battery too much.
Did you use smart switch? Would always recommend a clean install, at least of settings.
Try charging your phone to full before bed, then seeing how much it drains overnight when asleep and if anything pops up on the battery usage that shouldn't
My battery on my S21 Ultra, 512GB, Exynos model has been outstanding.
When WiFi is on, I turn mobile data off
GPS is off
FHD+ display with 120hz
Adaptive brightness
Mail sync off
I don't play games on my phone, so no games installed.
I'm at 30% battery with nearly 7hrs SOT.

Wow, so it's not about the 512gb... great battery!
1.Did you use smartswitch when you started it?
2.how many apps you have approximately? Did you set up secure folder/dual apps
3.did you install any goodlock mods on it?
4.why fhd+? The qhd and fhd has the same batterylife according to phonearena test.
5.is your fingerprint reader set to always on? Do you have AOD on as well?
Appreciate the replies! Enjoy it

I tried deepsleep before too, it messes up the apps completely unlike the normal sleeping method, so im back to using that. Put 265apps to sleep yesterday. Idle battery drain is almost fixed after turning off aod/fingerprint always on sensor and also deleting smartthings, i dont know which one did that
I used smartswitch at fisrt, but only for moving media and contacts/messages, i didnt move the settings.
Secure folder and dualapps make different googleplay services when you create them which is like having two phones at the same time... I wonder if those are the issues

I do have goodlock. Only the custom clock mod.
I have approximately around 80 apps installed (including the stock Samsung ones)
FHD+ because if the display is barely distinguishable at QHD as opposed to FHD+, you may as well save as much battery as you can while still having the same experience.
I used SmartSwitch when I initially came from the Oppo Find X2 Pro and that went smoothly.
Fingerprint scanner is constantly active.

HEY GUYS, i included everyone to get the last feedback from you all:
So i think it's getting better this is from 90% to 2% yesterday to today, with 6.15hrs of SOT and ~19hrs of Batterylife, BTW i ran 3dmark (slingshot) and androbench and tried new games too so it was fairly more than normal usage ;
I disabled AOD and fingerprint always on, deleted Smartthings and cleared Play Services cache also i did put 265apps to regular sleep.
Things that i didn't change were: The wifi was alwasy on, bluetooth was on for the majority of the time too, sync on, WQHD+ 120hz, NFC on, and since there is no reception here i put the phone on Airplane mode i still have my goodlock mods and secure folder stuff there too.
And about the SMART SWITCH, I just want to show you guys that i only moved my media and contacts/messages to the new phone and not the settings.

So I always used tap for AOD (with option for fingerprint sensor to show when AOD turns on) as well as a routine for AOD always on when charging, best of both worlds and its an unnecessary drain in my eyes anyway.
I was worried at the battery life I was getting (had the phone from the 28th) but does seem to be gradually improving. I also removed GSAM and Accubattery so I wasn't constantly checking (and they run quite heavy in the background, like 500mb between them).
The other thing to remember is when people are showing battery of over a day, there's like 7-8 hours where it just idles loses 3/4/5%, so the battery life isn't really much better, so 24 hours of usage with 6 hours SOT really isn't that different to 18 hours with 6 hours SOT
Hopefully the improvements keep coming, honestly I'd delete the battery tracking apps and just use the in built one seeing as there isn't a clear drain from anything, you'll stop worrying and checking it all the time, thus saving more battery lol

I'm running on Pie with the factory load for Device Care. That may work well for you but not on the software I have.
I do best with all power management disabled.
Android Services battery use went nuts with power management enabled... and it got worse not better as the days progressed.
With AOD always on it uses less than 1% @ hour for my 10+ so I leave it on.

i had that AOD option since the beginning and some on the other forums wrote that they had improvements after disabling AOD so i disabled that and fingerprint (which is almost useless since i dont need it to scan constatly when im not gonna unlock with my fingerprint anyways i use my mi band as my smartlock)
also i had to use GSAM since i didn't full charge it to prevent degradation and only charged it to 90% hence why the stats are only for 88% of usage. ill delete it after i get another full usage statics. wish the system battery tracker monitored the battery since UNPLUGGED and not since FULLCHARGE.
my phone is getting better imo, and less 1~2hr less than other guys is kinda acceptable since i know NOBODY has that many apps as me lol and also nobody uses both securefolder and dualapps as much as me too.
i really push my phones to extreme and if this one could get me around 7hr of SOT with my usage ill be happy,
but i still think that a software update is indeed needed for Exynos models
The Exynos model really needs a Firmware Update....

Try Gallaxy Labs Battery Tracker, that's all I use most times.
I never use the fingerprint scanner.
AOD was never an issue but Goggle Backup Transport, Framework and Google Play Services are.
Those can cause excessive usage when on AOD on my setup. AOD battery usage should be around .6-1% @ hr max.

also there is no Goggle Backup Transport, Framework in apps, maybe you're on older android/device so the methods are different for different devices and OS versions

General Battery Life

I was a bit concerned about Battery after setting up my new S21 Ultra (coming from a POCO F2 Pro) which lasted me two days +).
It's early days for me but I've put most of my APPS into deep sleep within Battery settings, and under developer options, I've turned off background processes using 'background processes limit' and selected the option 'don't keep activities'.
Seeing quite a good improvement so far!

I thought it might, but it does not seem to. The ones that I wanted notifications from I didn't put into a deep sleep, just normal sleep via the Battery Settings. Still getting notifications. I just put all the junk apps I don't care for into deep sleep.
Developer Options changes I made do not seem to cancel out any further notifications but still testing.
Sure the Developer Options last?

Don't know about how well that will work.
On my 10+ Pie variant I learned to disable all power management because it cause erratic behaviors and ate battery.
I address the power hogs on a case by case basis... it was time consuming.
Browsing with Brave or watching vids now I use about 12-16% battery an hour. While I do have to manually sync gmail I don't have any unexpected behaviors and all apps run well.
Perhaps they worked all the bugs out but more than likely they added as many as they removed.
Give Google enough time and they will screw up anything.
Not the real McCoy yet, but I've got a pretty good 6+ days battery endurance, light use 60 Hz and AOD off. There are some tiny charging spikes for a minute or two each time I had to move some files to and from PC.
Moved most all location settings to "only when app is in use" or off all together.
Seemed to make a big difference.
Also Always On to "tap for".
Used 60hrtz from the beginning. Just not enough difference to justify the 120.
All together battery life is immeasurably better.

could you all tell if you have the snapdragon or exynos version ?
My ultra on TMobile has been good. I make it through a full day with aod always on and Bluetooth synced to my watch. It's a much better battery experience than my pixel 4 xl

General (SOT) Leaderboard - post your longest SOT's here 👍🏻

Looking at the OnePlus 10 pro on paper, it has everything you would possibly need to achieve incredible screen on times.
The idea behind this besides some healthy competition is to whittle out the bugs and battery draining apps and habits.... in the hope that we all benefit from the knowledge learned and gathered.

If you'd like to register an SOT, you will need to provide a screen shot of your battery stats using the stock battery app, clearly showing the up time and screen usage time and app list.
Your OS, kernel if different from stock (no screen shot required)
NOTE*** Without this proof, your name and score won't be added.
That's it
Good luck
Some tips for better battery life.
Change 5G to 4G
Remove Facebook use web based
Remove Facebook messenger use web based
Remove Twitter use web based
Remove any ad based apps pay for the pro version
Turn off gestures like lift to wake
Change from QHD to FHD (No difference)
Allow auto brightness
Turn off WiFi overnight
Turn all updates to manual not auto (play store)
Remove any so you don't use
Change back up to once a month (WhatsApp)
Turn off location history (Google)
Use titanium to remove any system apps you don't need
Don't allow anonymous usage statistics for any app ever.
Don't allow tracking cookies on any website
Use adaway (root needed)
Don't open web pages in Google app (I use Samsung browser)
Don't use xposed.
If you game you will not get high SOT scores, period.
Don't bother with battery saving apps or monitoring apps.
Streamline your apps, if you don't use it, remove it.
Don't allow WiFi scanning (as in letting other apps use it when it's not on)
Never allow personalised ads.
Never allow notifications from websites
Always decline cookies unless your absolutely have to allow some tracking (common sense prevails here)
Optimise as many apps as possible unless it affects performance.
Don't allow apps to remain open in the notification area.
Change your launcher, my preferred launcher is lawn chair and this did actually burn up some battery when compared to the OnePlus launcher.
Don't use live widgets (yes they look cool, but they annihilate your battery)
Live wallpaper, again very cool, but battery burners.
Again! Don't charge overnight, make a note of your percentage then see what it is in the morning, you shouldn't be losing more than 5% really, if you've done well then it'll be reflected here, the good SOT results will follow.
Turn off live read outs of network speed, RAM usage in the status bar.
Turn off NFC unless in use.
Leave location on in quick settings.
Don't overcharge your phone, IE: overnight
Don't allow your phone to fully deplete the battery.
Whatever anyone says, this does 100% damage batteries, there is no argument here and I won't entertain anyone who says otherwise, Ive seen through real life tests what this results in, bloated, inefficient, possibly dangerous lithium batteries.
Keep your phone out the sun.
Keep it out of extreme cold.
Keep your device clean and dust free.
Snapchat, Viber, house party, apps like that tend to use more battery as they don't have great dormancy periods, use them if required and get rid.
Apps like speed test by Ookla tend to have location tracking, similarly they tend to turn themselves on and off when they feel like it, my advice, install test and uninstall.
Allow a couple of battery cycles between tweaking sets, to give you an idea of how much of a difference you've made.
Use BBS to see what is being used, once you've removed problems, remove BBS.
I've just written this from the top of my head so I've probably missed some things, the general idea is to keep your device clean and fresh, remove files / apps / mods / widgets / features you don't need any more.
Keep an eye on apps that misbehave or aren't wanted, index your folders so they aren't a mess.
The more good things you do means the more potentially bad apps you can have on your phone, eg if you really need Facebook, you could keep it so long as you clean up other areas of your phone.
Hope this helps.

Comparing the two I prefer lawnchair, nova is a little too flicky for my liking, I prefer smooth transitions and fluidity rather than overly quick and flicky, you'll know what I mean when you install it 2% is still 2-6% better than the 8 pro..

Try disabling Google play Services when not needed. It has a bunch of power sucking dependencies. I disable more Google system apps than that on my N10+, but disabling play services may be enough to tone it down especially at night.
Use manual brightness control and keep below 50%.
Social media apps should never be installed for a variety of reasons including excessive battery consumption... just saying.

Agreed, it sounds optimized to me! Hell yeah.
Most Android phones need to be optimized to get best performance... just the way it is.
I go to settings>apps, search for play, then disable/enable it there. I use it 2-3 [email protected] day, sometimes less.
If the disable option is grayed out, go to security and disable Find my Device as a system Administrator.
So many big sister Gookill system apps I hate...

Just done it but getting a lot of dings every time I unlock, little annoying tbh. I'm just wondering is the call to open services actually using battery ? I dunno. Perhaps if there wasn't a load of notifications..
I'll leave it for this cycle and maybe see how it compares next time, I'm not out over the weekend so have a good location to get fault results.

On my phone it can suck up to 1+%@hr with screen on... so it adds up. No reasoning with it.
You can kill those very annoying notifications; Gmaps, Gmail, do it; disable notifications. There may be more depending on your configuration.
Leave the warning running and when you disable notifications in the right app... it will stop. Instant gratification

Question Please help me about battery oneplus 10 pro ver 2213

I just bought this phone, one thing i dont know why because battery's using time is short, only 5 hours. I want to know that everyone the same as me?
You either have a n app eating thru your battery or a faulty battery.
Check in Settings/Battery. If nothing special pops out there, you might want to try a factory reset and see if that still happens.
In the past I also used GSam to get more info on battery usage.

Looking at the OnePlus 10 pro on paper, it has everything you would possibly need to achieve incredible screen on times. The idea behind this besides some healthy competition is to whittle out the bugs and battery draining apps and habits.... in...

Keep all social apps insta FB and WhatsApp with restrictions of background and foreground activity and keep auto launch off . That's make your battery long lasting. Keep optimization on in battery settings.
U can check other apps which are battery hungry and keep activity restricted.
Do not use always on display function.

As far as I know I am the current leader of the SOT thread with 12.5 hours SOT and 23% battery left, unfortunately I literally didn't even try to get it at first and was in 120hz 1440p (no auto switch) with no battery saver at all lol. If you want a lot of SOT you can cheese it by streaming and doing nothing else thanks to the Snapdragon 8's efficiency with video

That would be great. Do you have the screenshots you would need to register your sot?
As per the requirements?
If so I'll be happy to add your time
If you're experiencing rapid battery drainage with your OnePlus 10 Pro, there are a few steps that you can take to solve this issue.
First and foremost, it is important for you to understand why the battery drains quickly. There are several factors that may contribute to this problem, such as the presence of background apps running in the background without your knowledge and an inefficient power management system.
To address the first factor, reducing or disabling any applications running in the background can help improve battery performance significantly. To do so: go into Settings > App Manager > Running Apps, where you can see which apps are currently active on your device. You should close or uninstall any unnecessary apps as they consume energy even when not actively used by you.
For further improvement of your device’s power efficiency, it also helps to recalibrate its internal Power Management System (PMS). This process involves resetting how much power is allocated for different tasks on your OnePlus 10 Pro allowing it to run more efficiently and effectively utilize whatever charge remains in its unit’s battery pack while still providing optimal performance. It is recommended that this procedure be done at least once per month or after factory resets – but no more than three times per month – as excessive PMS calibrations will only lead to shorter lifespan of both software and hardware components over time instead of better performance gains and improved efficiency levels.
Finally if these two solutions fail then eventually replacing/repairing parts inside phone such as motherboard may prove beneficial for fixing Oneplus 10 pro Battery Drain Fast issue permanently however seeking professional help from authorized service centers would be necessary before attempting similar DIY repairs within home due safety related issues involved with components which are sensitive enough handle with proper care & expertise .
Some tips I've shared over the years.
Change 5G to 4G
Remove tiktok it is 100% dodgy Chinese spyware.
Keep your device clean dust free.
Snapchat, Viber, house party, apps like that tends to use more battery as they don't have great dormancy periods.
I've just written this from the top of my head so o probably missed some things, the general idea is to keep your device clean and fresh, remove files you don't need any more.
Keep an eye on apps that misbehave or aren't wanted, index your folders so they aren't a mess.
The more good things you do means the more potentially bad apps you can have on your phone, eg if you really need Facebook, you could keep it so long as you clean up other areas of your phone.
Good luck.
When it comes to battery optimization for the OnePlus 10 Pro, version 2213, I have a few suggestions that might help you maximize your device's battery life.
Firstly, it's important to note that OnePlus devices generally come with a variety of built-in battery optimization features. To begin, make sure you have enabled the battery optimization settings on your device. You can usually find these settings in the device's "Battery" or "Power" section within the settings menu.
Additionally, I recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date. Manufacturers often release software updates that include battery optimizations and improvements. So, regularly check for updates and install them as they become available.
Another effective approach to conserving battery life is by managing your apps and their power consumption. Identify any apps that are known to drain battery excessively and either limit their usage or consider uninstalling them if they are not essential. You can find battery usage statistics in the device settings, usually under "Battery" or "Power."
Furthermore, adjusting the screen brightness and timeout settings to a level that suits your needs can significantly impact battery life. Lowering the brightness and reducing the screen timeout duration can help conserve power.
Lastly, keeping unnecessary features and connections turned off when not in use can make a difference. Features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS can consume additional power if left enabled unnecessarily.
