[Solved] How to check available system space?

Hi,
I wanted to install Theft Aware to the system partition but it keeps saying there is not enough space on /system (Android 2.2.1 with rooted CF kernel).
I then realized I don't even know how to check the remaining space on /system, how do I do that? Do I need some kind of app?
wrong place to post this thread.
goto settings > sd card and phone storage
Damn, indeed I chose the wrong forum, sorry, can someone move this to Q&A please?
Btw, when checking there it said there is more than 1 GB free under "internal phone storage". Does the SGS really have that much system space? oO
edit:
ok apparently that isn't actually the free space of /system. After some googling I dared to try some terminal app on the phone and ran some df command or something which showed the /system space. It was at 0 so I removed some Samsung apps. Also found a list about what apps you can apparently safely remove from there:

Yes you can, but NO you should not, unless you know what you want to delete.
Some apps may stop working - google for an answer to get better explanation.
.android_secure folder contains files of the apps which you moved to SD card ....

For me the apps moved into the internal SD. Non such folder on the external SD for me.

If what Dan is saying is true then you can but there's no point deleting it.. The 400MB files will move somewhere else and you can't free this space unless you delete some apps.
Google it!

It is absolute safe to delete (I tried this yesterday and confirming this) but make sure you have backed up all apps with Titanium backup so that all apps are restored properly.

Memory problem with cyanogenmod 10.0 stable sd card not writable?

So I installed cyanogenmod today. I actually reinstalled it after having problems with it for a while but since the reinstall hasn't fixed it I finally decided to just ask it .
So.. The problem is that it seems that my memory is read only. I only use internal memory (I've got an xperia T) since it is big enough for me atm. It has like 5Gb of space free but whenever I try to download something using the webbrowser app it says that it is unable to download because "no name". Another problem is that I can't download from dropbox neither and when I try to take a screenshot of my screen it can't save it.
Now I have read that cyanogemod reserves space for itself but im pretty sure it doesn't need 5gb of memory. So I guess I should make a virtual external sd or something but I don't know how and I am also not sure if it will fix the problems.
(keep in mind that downloading from the playstore does work)

Same issue with TX.
The only solution i found is formating the memory.
But before, backup the memory on your computer ^^
format
It also puts arrives the internal sd formats badly is then to renomer 0 with differente permission instead of sdcard and especially not to remetter no Roma stock before having made a protection(saving) of your give because you cannot recuperer apres finally personally his(her, its) does not have to walk(work) I was to oblige to put back(to hand) a Roma cm for any recuperer! Desoler for my bad English

You got back everything with no problem at all? Best it is from regulations then storage then to erase the internal memory !

Format your SD again in CWM

I think it is a problem with NTFS format, android not support it well. The best choice is Fat32 or EXT4. To get 100% working sdcard on android and via PC, format sd card in recovery

[Q] How to format dev/block/mmcblk0p25

Hi. I want to sell my phone so I'm looking for deleting all images.
Things to know: My galaxy s3 mini is rooted and have Carbon 4.4.2 ROM and Team Win Recovery
I tried those things:
- Delete the file mmcblk0p25 via File Manager
- Wipe Internal Storage
After I deleted the file mmcblk0p25 via File Manager it dissapears, but looking for deleted images (using Disk Digger app) I keep seeing the file and my images after I deleted it.
Need some help, thanks!
Go to recovery mode and make a factory reset. It will remove all user data and cache.

Already did that. Didn't work out
Is that a file recovery app?
It's not any different than any storage media. Files can sometimes be found even after formatting because they are not being overwritten at all, just wiped.
To be sure you probably would have to rewrite the whole block a lot of times before every fragment is gone.
What kind of top secret images is there?

If you know Linux you can make a new ext4 data.img of correct size in simg-format and flash it to your phone It will be completely empty for sure.
