As I see it's only for UK as for now.

seems that version is still the same, 05.02.26 - so there's few changes but probably kernel is the same like in previous O2 leak
motorola is releasing country by country.
from france, no 2.2 at this time ...
but it look like released in uk.
if someone can post sbf
EDIT : nothing too with a proxy from UK
Hopefully someone from uk can post sbf or nandroid backup for this 1
Sent from my Milestone using Tapatalk
SBF file is very appreciated in this topic ;p
sbf would be nice and also to know if its better than the o2 leak!
I hope for the best... but after reading this:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key Things to Consider Prior to Upgrading to Android 2.2 (Froyo)
-Motorola is committed to continually meet and exceed our consumers' expectations. Due to the extremely high number of requests for the Android 2.2. (FROYO) software upgrade, we are making the upgrade package available to consumers who wish to voluntarily upgrade their own devices via MSU.
-Exhaustive testing process has concluded that users may experience some adverse effects associated with the upgrade which could include slower operation of some phone functions and applications. Performance may be improved by limiting open applications.
-Media saved on your memory SD card will be preserved, but DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected Media stored on your phone's internal memory will not be preserved.
-Not all applications downloaded with your current software will be compatible with your upgraded software.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I can't help but feel the possibility of finding ourselves with another kernel full of DSI errors is still existent.
Motorola themselves "warn" their "volunteers" about possible slowdowns and also say having less apps open MIGHT (not even "will") solve the problem.
Sorry if I sound too douchy or pessimistic... maybe it's the fact I haven't slept at all. I hope I'm totally wrong about my assumptions.
That info was taken from this link: http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/Support/GB-EN/froyo/milestonenotification.htm

Youre not being pessimistic! is motorola!
"we can't solve DSI Error problem, so it's now a feature and no more a bug"
We all know that Froyo have too high system requirements too run well on Milestone (RAM), motorola cant make miracle... That was only reason for delayed froyo.

[Q] Interested in rooting and flashing a custom ROM for the LGOB. [Q]

Hello guys, as you can see I am new to the forum and new to android in general. [Used to be an iOS fanboy] I have recently acquired an LG Optimus Black but i'm unhappy with the stock ROM provided by LG.
I have a few questions:
1) What are my options for rooting the device?
2) Once rooted, what custom ROMs are currently available for the device?
3) If I flash a new ROM is it possible and what would I need to have/do to restore the device back to the stock ROM?
And lastly...
4) What is the chance of fully bricking the device and what are my options if the device gets bricked?
Thanks a lot, [Hope this was the right section and hasn't been asked before...]

All was asked and ANSWERED before. Move your a** and search for it.
I have searched actually. The questions that have been answered aren't specific to my situation and I know that small details are very important when flashing phones. If you aren't answering the question I guess what you posted would be considered spam?
Guys,
Please refrain from bickering, two ways this can be easily resolved:
1. Use google search with the word xda in it to find your answer
2. Rather than posting move your a** and find it, if you know the link or answer, why not help a brother out?
I will say no more on the matter, its that simple.
THanks.

No point arguing..if you don't wanna help just ignore.
If you wanna reply, make sure it helps others.
1) What options? It's either you root or you don't. Either way, your phone works.
2) Currently there's only NOVA Rom by knzo.
3) Read this thread here.
4) Chances of bricking are slim if you read before attempting anything. If in any case your phone is bricked (boot loop), refer to the above.
Hope it helps.
Welcome to the Android community
Thank you very much for the very active response and information.... I am also studying these issues.

Exactly what I needed, thanks a lot!
I've heard a lot of the current roots don't work for the OB?
And is NOVA the ONLY ROM at the moment, I thought I heard about another one?
Older firmwares, you can use Gingerbreak. If it doesn't work, then most probably you're on the newer firmwares. Then use SuperOneClick.
The other one is Pays ROM. It's been abandoned.
It needs v10b Firmware to run. If you're not familiar, stick to Nova ROM.
Cyanogenmod is in progress (i hope so)

Nexus 7 3G stock 4.1.2 ROM

I heard some people got their device with 4.1.2 on it. Where can I download this at? I can only find 4.2.1.
No one?
Look - or, Search - it's all under the N7 "Development" tab or section here on XDA - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1736578
It has direct link to Google's site/server for the full official image
Assumed that you know what you are doing and familiar with using one of the available tool kits to simplify it somehow - have fun, enjoy & good luck.
Otherwise, read first, go slow amd tale notes, sip your coffee before plunging back into jelly beans i.e. Stickies under Q&A section

My bad - you are looking for a factory/stock 3G model firmware image for the N7 ??
Hmm, according to Google's official links here - https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
None was ever released/available - unless it was an experimental/unofficial alpha or beta one ... sorry, wish I could've help you on that
And, your source being reliable ?

I'm not sure if they were reliable, thats mostly why I'm asking. It's possible no one got 4.1.2, but I figured it was worth asking. Thanks for your help.

You can't find factory firmware for N7 3G with 4.1.x because it never existed in the first place. N7 3G came out with 4.2 on board.

Read through the above links thoroughly. Then come back and ask questions. These are both awesome resources to new users, and many users have asked many of the exact same questions you'd like to ask.
You need to develop a general understanding of both the Android operating system and the methodology and tools used by "hackers" to enhance their phones. Once you get this knowledge, questions are more direct and specific.

Downgrade from Beta to android 12

Information on how to downgrade is lacking, i have found one guide but the rom given fails verification
does anyone know of a way to downgrade as i cannot deal with android 13 and it's lock down of sideloaded apps
There is currently no way to downgrade back to Android 12.
I am able to side-load apps - but you need to allow the application you are using to download the APK (as in Android 11 and 12).

OH...you have to talk to support for your device maybe where you bought from.
Support are useless for this case, at least in my case, i contact them and the only thing they answare was to follow a chinese forum from Oppo, for reply to anything there you need a chinese phone number require to make an account...
Is a shame spend this amount of money on a phone with this kind of support, No Roms online so you could restore the phone, etc etc... maybe will sell this phone and change brand again...

All i got from them was to take to support centre
as i know phone has a locked boot block,so there is no other solution as to send that phone to a service center.
I contact oppo france and this is what i get from them:
"Hello Mr Rocha.
We follow up on the recent sending of your email, regarding your wish to downgrade the Beta13 version of your OPPO smartphone.
We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience caused.
For security reasons, after upgrading to the Beta version, users cannot downgrade to the official version by themselves. You must send the device to the nearest OPPO authorized repair center to perform the downgrade. This service will be free.
Would you like to return your phone for this downgrade? If so, we will send you an email with the information to confirm to us for editing the Chronopost shipping label and sending your smartphone to our SBE centre.
Hoping that this information will be useful to you, the whole OPPO team wishes you a great day Sir.
Do not hesitate to contact us on 0805 026 026 (free call) if you have any other questions, we remain at your entire disposal for any additional request.
You are likely to receive a link via text or email to ask for your opinion on the quality of our exchange. If you are satisfied, we are counting on you to express your satisfaction by putting a score between 9 and 10.
