Has anyone purchased the TUDIA Ultra Tough OMNIX [Heavy Duty] Hybrid Full-body case?

Hello
I'm just wondering if anyone has ordered the Tudia Ultra Tough OMNIX case, and I'm wondering what your impression of it may be.
How does the built in screen protector feel, and does it lay tight against your screen.
I'm not able to post links, but If anyone is curious to see which case I'm talking about just copy and paste the text quoted
"OnePlus 3 Case - TUDIA Ultra Tough OMNIX [Heavy Duty] Hybrid Full-body Protective Case with Front Cover and Built-in Screen Protector / Impact Resistant Bumpers Cover for OnePlus Three"
Looks like a Merge case with an added front cover. The front layer is pretty interesting, but considering that its plastic and not glass, it may catch scratches easily which is a big no no for something covering the screen. Would love to hear the general user experience though.
Read my amazon review
I purchased the tudia omnix through amazon.com and left a review. Mine's is titled "First impressions/ Updated impressions" dated Aug 19th. I wrote a fairly comprehensive review. I can't seem to post links yet.
I purchased the red tudia omnix version..I second the fact that the plastic screen guard is a hassle. I kind of removed thatt. The protection provided by the rest of the case is good. i already had a screen guard on,so the dual screen guard messed with the touch. It does add to the bulk, not in a very bad way. For better protection i would suggest the tudia and of its just slim u want the kapaver or spigen cases which are just tpu would do, all three of them are available on amazon.in

Looking for a good protective case for the Oneplus 3T

Enough said. I got an almost new OnePlus 3T from ebay, and I would like to keep it that way as long as I can. In your experience, what encasing offers the best protection? It came with a leather case, but while it looks nice, I don't think that it does a lot to protect the device, not least because the cover can't be locked, so that if it should fall, the cover might easily swing open and the device fall on its display.
I use the Rugged Armor case by Spigen. It's the best cover I used in my experience of many cases, ranging from OtterBox to cheap knockoffs. It protected my phone from a drop down a staircase once and has fallen on to tar roads many times. It's definitely the best one out there, and I use Spigen's Tempered Glass along with it too.

Spigen Tempered Glass for the 3/3T (Int Link)- https://www.spigen.com/collections/oneplus/products/oneplus-3-3t-screen-protector-film-crystal
There are two other Spigen cases for the 3/3T by Spigen which are the Hybrid Case and the Neo Armor Case, which aren't as good as the Rugged Armor and are more towards the side of looks rather than protection.

Otterbox vs UAG

I just got a OnePlus 8T+ 5G today ( T-Mobile ) and need to get a case. For my last two phones, I have used UAG and I have been happy with them. Reading the specs, it seems like Otterbox has testing above and beyond what UAG does (milspec) so I am considering that option too, but the back of the Otterbox cases feels a bit smoother and less grippy than UAG.
Two options I am considering:
Sites-ob_us-Site
OtterBox cases, power, screen protection, and accessories protect and empower your digital world.
www.otterbox.com
Monarch Series Cases | Urban Armor Gear
The UAG Monarch Series protective cases are the most rugged and durable on the market. They offer military drop-test protection for all your Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Motorola, Google, Microsoft, HP, and LG products.
www.urbanarmorgear.com
Only $10 price difference, so that isn't a factor. My main concern is protecting the phone. The UAG seems to provide good protection and feels a bit more grippy than the Otterbox, but I know Otterbox is a known solid design.
Any thoughts on those two?
I have both. I'm kind of a case hoarder, trying to find the perfect case. I drop my phone often because my hands randomly spasm.
Which case is better comes down to 1 question: will you be using anything other than your phone in the case?
The OtterBox + glass screen protector did well. The UAG + screen protector didn't do nearly as well. It broke more often, faster.
If you're sticking anything additional in, like a thin metal plate for sticking to magnetic holders like you put in your car, it will be too thick for either case. I rather like using a lanyard and found this thin pad that sits behind a phone and had a strap coming out the charging hole of your case with a small keychain loop....even that's too thick. The metal sheet or my thin pad causes the screen protector to protrude too far out from the case. 1 drop and they'll break.
Bare phone, either will work very well.
If I had to pick between them protection wise, the OtterBox probably has it.
If you have your heart set on the UAG, I have a better suggestion: get the Poetic Affinity case. It's less than half the price and better IMO than the UAG.

A case very similar to the OtterBox but maybe with BETTER protection is the Spigen Tough Armor. It has these yellow foam pads inside, and is similar to hold. It's technically 2 pieces but in the real world it appears very very similar to OtterBox if not better.

Virtually every single case has the same flaw though: there is a very bad soft spot in the case...every case....over the ring mode selector slider (silent\vibrate\ring). Some cases it's not quite as bad than others. But it's been present on every case I've tried except 2. And those cases fixed the issue by sandwiching the phone in between 2 hard pieces:
One was a heavy as hell all metal case that's a MONSTER in size and weight, and most people will hate, but does an incredible job protecting the phone. And it uses any old 3rd party glass screen protector. Your floor will be dented by falls, not your phone! (this is currently my case).

The other is the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro... an all plastic case that doesn't let you use a glass screen protector, you have to use their built in thin film screen protector that SUCKS and makes the case useless. It doesn't have the so called soft spot. But the lack of glass screen protector kills it for me.
It does come with a not so great belt holster though if anyone wants that.

Idk what case you're talking about but I have the uag case on my 8t and the edges stick up above the sides of the screen where if I lay it down screen first the screen doesn't touch the surface

IMO i have had multiple (4) phones (samsung, oneplus and pixel) and I have used uag with a dbrand skin underneath and it's always been an awesome mix for looks for me

Hey, I'm thinking of taking affinity or uag, depending on this following question: do poetic cases get yellow over time?
*I found something on google that says that uag plasma cases stay pure transparent, but nothing useful about poetic

I've still got an old note 8 still in the uag case from day 1 and it hasn't changed color at all.

Over the past 8 year I’ve had 5 otterbox defenders. They all served well. My biggest issue with them is there is always going to be a thin section that always breaks over time. That all truly depends on how much it drops and how hard it drops. Some of them come with their own screen protection which can be convenient but also annoying. They don’t bind to the screen so it can cause unresponsive touches. Otterboxes do come with port covers to protect from dust.
I tried out UAG 2.5 years ago and it outlasted all of my otter boxes. And it’s still going strong. It barely even has a scratch on it. It’s been accidentally ran over by a Ford 150 too lol. Nothing is breaking on it. Nothing is warped. It’s taken harder falls than all my otterboxes and it is still perfectly intact. UAG does not come dust covers. I will point out that the dust covers fall apart and they damage your phone chargers because they always push on them. Dust covers can also damage your ports because it’s pushing your chargers on the side of them. I’ve had 2 charge ports go bad because of that. Newer phones now are waterproof/water resistant so it won’t hurt your phone just to wash the dust out. So to be honest dust covers are not necessary and are more inconvenient now.
My personal preference is a UAG + Zagg screen protector. Zaggs have a lifetime warranty. You buy one and it’s good for the remainder of the phone’s life or if you buy another phone that is compatible to it. Iphone 11 and 12s use the same protector size.
I dropped using otterboxes when I discovered UAGs. They are the toughest phone cases I’ve ever had. I even had Specks that were more durable than my otterboxes. Otterboxes cost more and seem to be a lot less durable from my experience.

I'm currently on a search for a rugged case and came across your post. Are you still using the metal case? If so, do you mind giving us a quick recap of how it's holding up after all these months? and would you recommend it over other cases?
Thanks!

don't do metal unless you want signal issues!
I recommend: https://www.supcase.com/products/oneplus-8t-unicorn-beetle-pro-full-body-case-black

NOT thin cases

I browsed the thread for thin cases, and while there are some good suggestions there, I think I'd like to go with something a little beefier.
What are some favorites in the not thin category? Right now I'm leaning towards the
Spigen Tough Armor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GF9554...olid=1QS9U7KHNWE1G&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it, which doesn't look to be too huge and bulky but I wouldn't consider it thin either.
Anything else?
Thin cases with little protection don't cut it.
For my 10+ the Zizo Bolt case is near perfect. Not very thick or bulky with excellent drop protection... I've inadvertently tested more than I care to
Unfortunately this phone is still too new, in time one will be punched out for it.
Here's one for the 7T
ZIZO Bolt Series OnePlus 7 Pro Case | Military-Grade Drop Protection w/Kickstand Bundle Includes Belt Clip Holster + Lanyard Black Black

Get a case with good corner/face plant with a raised cam guard for now. A two layered case with a outer polycarbonate shell and a stiff urethane liner seem to do best which one reason a like the Bolt so much. I rarely use the snap on clip back (3 layers) but when in it the phone is very well protected.
I just got my order in. I've had several Poetic cases and I've been very happy with all of them. I've got one on my 7 Pro and 8 can't wait to pop this one on my 8T https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NHTTPXT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I use this Spigen Case on my 8T, pretty happy with it

I have both the Spigen Hybrid , nice case but a finger print magnet.. the Tough Armor is really nice my main case though I wish it came without the little kick stand.. and the Ringke Fusion Camo version is also really nice similar to the Hybrid but with way less finger prints..
I love my dbrand Grip case. It goes over the edges of the screen, feels sturdy, has extra grip on the sides, has a microfiber backing on the inside, and is just all-around solid. Been using it for almost four months now.
