Hello,
i have a Huawei p20 pro with Emui 9.1.0.387 and Android 9. Rooted with magisk and TWRP installed.
Almost Everything working except Files app, gallery (makes 5 minutes to open) and play store do not install any new app. And when i install any app via apk i get the message incompatible with current system version even if its installed and fully working.
My question is, am i having a broken system file or rom that cause these issues ? And how to solve it ?
I do not want a full refresh of the phone, but if there is a solution to repair the rom or install same version over it without losing data or apps, i would love to get help please
PS: i can't update to Emui 10 as this one is not root compatible and bootloader get blocked.

okay firstly i am running the beta version emui 5.0, i flashed twrp and then flashed the update, but before doing this i wanted to try out something first, i wanted to flash twrp, flash gapps (google apps) then root the phone and remove all the Chinese apps, but because emui 5.0 doesnt have twrp as yet, i havent been able to do this, i am still stuck on android 7.0.
my mission was to delete all the apps that contain Chinese things, then be left with a clean clean phone with only English, i wanted to delete the apps, then ask anyone from xda to provide us with their apps instead, replace them with the international version of the p9 plus, then we see if they will still have chinese language

dialer
hi-care
video app etc
anyone here know if we can really do this, then backup our rom, and upload it to those that want the phone to have google apps, and chineseless apps?

I ve installed manually Samsung browser version 5.0 over my old version but it doesn't run correctly with errors, unexpected closes etc.. Now I want to go back to the right version but I cannot either uninstall it or install the previous one over the new one as it's a system app. I'm not rooted.. Is there a way I can do it or any 5 version that works correctly to anyone to install it?

I don't think version 5 worked for me either.
If you installed it then it should have installed as a user app. You should be able to uninstall it via app manager using the 'uninstall updates' button and revert to the default (system) version.
Have you tried clearing cache and data for the browser app first?
You can always install the play store version.

Since latest Google Play Services update (14.7.99) that occured on 4th decembre 2018, my battery lasts only a couple of hours even if I am not using it. All Google Apps don't work anymore including Play Store.
When downgrading to version 14.5.82, everything works again but even if I disable automatic updates in Play Store, Google Play Services keeps updating itself to latest version without asking me any permission.
Is there a way to force block of Google Play Services update until a fix is found ?
Otherwise, does anyone can give me an updated guide for installing TWRP and an alternative ROM ?
I am using Flyme 6.2.0.0G. I have root access with SuperSU installed in system. Root access is confirmed with RootChecker. But I understood that this is not enough. Getting root access doesn't mean bootloader is unlocked, does it ? Is there a way checking bootloader is unlocked before trying to install TWRP ?

There is a post on forum about unlocking bootloader and my tries on checking it on comments. See if it helps. Dont flash twrp without confirming bootloader unlock. Otherwise your recovery may lose and may cause brick.

I started to have this issue on 6/12/18. Google play services used 25% of my battery and I could not use any Google service. (It asked me to sign in again and again.)
I followed this guide (the flash recovery part is mistyped there, I needed fastboot flash recovery filename.xxx to install the new recovery). I downgraded to Flyme 4.5.2 (or whichever version allowed me root by signing in to Flyme), unlocked the recovery and installed AOSP. (CM12 had the same issue with google, Lineage OS didn't boot up.) When I sign in from AOSP, Google emails me that a login was made from a Meizu M6 Note. It thinks my device is safe. It even lets me download Netflix.
I also tried whitelisting my device and allowing less secure apps at Google while on CM, these didn't seem to help.

M2 is out. All new devices released on 2018 are google certified.
About it, custom rom doesn't work. Google Play Service does not work on Lineage Os.
Same here. I've tried to use custom Roms with Android 5.1, 7.1 and it's all the same.
On the other hand, I've got back to Flyme and the issue also occurs, but there's a slight difference. After the Play Store auto updates to v. 12.x.x. then it stops working (error 920 or can't log in). Resolution for this is to delete the Google account in Settings and add it again, yet this works for 5 minutes tops...
I've recently factory reset my Note 9 which was rooted and subsequently unrooted prior to purchase. Before I reset it, I could install S Health 4.x to bypass the root issue with the most recent version. This time, however, I cannot get version 4.x to install. I've tried via APK mirror and also via ADB, but it fails "App not installed". Other apps downloaded from APK mirror install fine.
Any ideas without rooting again, which I don't want to do?

dont know what all of you guys are doing wrong but I'm on pie and its working fine.(knox tripped)
im not hiding it with magisk. every custom rom available for pie that ive tried had it working. maybe the roms have something baked in to make it work but i have not herd of such.
plus v4 is ancient.

I upgraded my rooted 10 pro to NE2213_11_C22 (OOS13) with OPLocalUpdate.apk (thanks to @dladz' best guide) but I have a big issue.
Several of my apps don't work on the mobile network anymore, only on Wi-fi.
So I would like to know if it is possible to install the update again (with OPLocalUpdate.apk) as if it was a new update without wipe data.

When changing to other os best to wipe. You will have to download play store APK and install it to get play store back if on coloros. I don't know if your Carrier has issues on color os either. Start by deleting your apn. And press reset to default and reboot to see if it fixes before wiping

I haven't change OS.
I'm already in OOS since the beginning. I just install the last update like the other one (with root procedure because i'm already root) but this time is bug.
But i don't know if it's possible to reinstall the same install (C22 to C22) like a another update (C21 to C22) without wipe.

You can install as many times as you want with the side loaded system updater app. It will flash and change to opposite slot each time
