Root Oppo4 Pro? - OPPO Reno4 / 4 Pro 5G Questions & Answers

I am interested in buying it but I never buy a phone unless I can root it. Does it have a locked bootloader? A Google search just brings up those fake rooting websites.

[Q] HTCdev unlocking same device with multiple owners?

So I'm buying the One from Swappa. The original owner had it rooted, then they unrooted it to sell it.
When I get it, I'd like to root it.
Is it going to make things difficult considering the phone has went through the process with HTCdev once before, but with a different user, email address, etc?

nope, you shouldn't have a problem at all. Htc dev doesn't follow user names or anything like that, They issue the unlock bin when a valid unlock token is sent. They do log that device as being bootloader unlocked but the amount of time doesn't matter.

[Q] Z1 bootloader locked questions?

I am going to get a z1 this week.
As you guys know, Sony has this bad habit of permanently locking the bootloader on their phones.(bootloader unlock allowed=no in service menu)
Obviously,I dont want a permanently bootloader locked one.
So, why does Sony do it?
And more importantly, is there a pattern to the locking or is it just some random-get lucky kinda thing where some miserable ass at the Sony factory randomly does this to get back at the world?
What should I do to make sure that I don't get a Bootloader Unlock Allowed=No version of the phone.
Im buying online from eBay so i cant check myself and the sellers wont do it as they don't want to open the seal
Is there any way to circumvent the lock / load non-signed kernels after boot?
You can only be sure if you buy one on amazon, directly from amazon. I have one from marketplace amazon and mine is permantly locked. If you buy one from ebay go sure that it have no sim lock and that you can give it back on first 14-days, so you can give it back, if it is permantly locked.
well you dont get that good of discounts from amazon. ebay sellers sell it real cheap and we can use coupons on ebay.
well i finally got someone who has opened the box. i might have to pay a little bit more(more than a little!) for it but its still worth it considering that it is the c6903 4g version which is not available here(we only have the c6902)
Thanks for the reply dude
I bought my Xperia Z1 from my carrier. Right now it says that I can't unlock the bootloader. The thing is, I've been looking for way to unlock it anyway. I've been seeing people saying different things about how to unlock it. I just way something clarified, though: is the bootloader somehow tied to the carrier or the SIM card? Can I unlock it by buying the SIM unlock key from my carrier?

Affordable unlocking service for Tmobile Note 7?

I usually have every phone unlocked through Tmobile with no problem. Even new ones with Jump On Demand. They have been giving me nothing but a hard time for the Note 7. Is there a quick affordable company that will unlock my phone?
I was asking the same question, it seem as the group gave up on root the note 7 with the new update
If you're rooted there is an unlock method. Just do a Google search.

Yeah unfortunately im not rooted because my phone took the new update
I got them to Unlock 3 N7s , granted it took 5 calls. Its a lot easier now for both parties using the pre-installed unlock app. Just said the usual, traveling .

moto g6 nfc and google pay after bootloader unlock and root

Hi all...
I'm tempted to unlock and root my Moto g6 (EU) and just want to check if we can still use NFC and Google pay afterwards. .. this is the first phone with Google pay and find it quite helpful....
Thanks for any comments on your experiences on this.
To my knowledge unlocking the bootloader won't cause any issues. However Google Pay fails to work on a rooted device I believe. Using the options in Magisk(root) you should be able to fool Pay in to not seeing the device is rooted.
