Question Axon 30 Ultra A2022PG Bootloader Unlock? - ZTE Axon 30 Ultra

Hello dear community, I am also the owner of an Axon 30 Ultra since a few weeks.
As with the Axon 7 & Axon 10 I have fun programming custom roms, etc..
I have already built a TWRP for the A30 Ultra.
Only unfortunately I lack the knowledge for a bootloader unlock, I have already tried a lot unfortunately no positive result... FRP I could already successfully disable.
Maybe someone can help me who can gladly PN or report here. .. Greeting kevte89

I've even seen a Changer.org asking ZTE fo open bootloaders.
Looks bad, their software is not very good either, custom roms would solve almost every problem they have.

ZTE will never allow it to be made public how to open it.

But as far as I know, previous models could open the bootloader, right?
Also Nubia models were able to do it.

Hello ZTE friends, I think I almost managed to unlock the bootloader of our Axon 30 ultra . I'll do the first test at the weekend if I can and see if I can get it unlocked. if so, i have to see how i can make it as easy as possible for everyone to get it unlocked. Everything else like TWRP etc needs to be tested. It would be great if someone could help me to rewrite the EDL tool from Axon 7 & 10 Pro 4G for Axon 30 Ultra, because then I could build a flash file to unlock the bootloader. Greetings kevte89

on top of that, I don't think it's the correct fastboot mode we're seeing! because magisk could not be flashed via fastboot.

I hope you can get it done!
That will open a very profitable door for our phones

I want to root ZTE blade A5 2019, is possible to adapt this tool to it? I would only need a signed unlock file and flash it with modified fastboot by hovatek or there is other ways?

I understand

So there is not much interest, I will stop my work to set root and bootloader unlock to unlock. Best of luck to everyone else. Greetings kevte89

Unfortunately we can't say ZTE owners are a "big community".
Thank you for your efforts anyway mate.

that's probably true.. well, it's a pity anyway. it would have been great if the bootloader could be opened

Could you put your current work somewhere so that it's not lost. I'm interested in continuing it. I have a ZTE Axon 30 5G

Unfortunately, I no longer have the option to unlock the bootloader or unlock root rights. Unfortunately, ZTE doesn't help either... without more help we probably won't have a chance to make this wonderful device into something big.

It's a pity indeed. The phone is really nice but at least it was updated to Android 12. I suspect this is the last major update it will get.
For unlocking I think it will only happen if there's a vulnerability found.

Hi all.
I already unlocked the bootloader and root the phone, but after that I want to make something with magisk and downloaded a modified boot.img and flashed (patched) with magisk too... After that I stucked in bootloop....I want to reflash the"original" boot.img after the loop, but now its worst than ever... 2days I want to bring a little life in this phone, tried a lot of things (adb, qfil, qpst, miflash, ZTE flash tool etc), but this little freak stucked in EDL Mode and the screen not turn on.. i dont have backup, just only 3-4 kind of rom (DL and SD version). If somebody got a great idea how can I restore / flash firmware ij that case....I would be grateful! Thanks!

how did you unlock the bootloader??? tell me the steps and maybe i can help you.

You need flash tool to fix it , take it to 9008 mode, and flash that with prog_A2022_ddr_SM8350 file

In the 9008 mode, which is the EDL, I can get in without a flash tool. I need a prog file which is from our Axon 30 Ultra, unfortunately nothing can be found... then you could do it via Qfil

bricked my Mi 8

Hey guys I've run into an issuei bought a Mi 8 off swappa two weeks ago I've been using it and it's been absolutely amazing I love it but a few days ago global miui 9 came out and they phone came bootloader unlocked so I figured I'd flash the firmware and then lock the bootloader I flashed the firmware through Miuitool it worked fine I set it up and then went to lock the bootloader using the same tool I did it and then it started to boot but detected no os anymore so it was bootlooping. I can only access the recovery and fastboot mode I tried wiping didn't work I tried flash the firmware using miflash tool and manually doing the commands also tried getting into edl mode but says it's locked. I tried calling support but they told me they didn't do phone repairs and to call the manufacturer of which I bought it from (swappa) I'm kinda losing hope I'm not sure what to do I've tried so much maybe I'm missing something. If anyone has any suggestions I would love that thanks and here's what my recovery says if that helps
Did you try to flash twrp with fastboot and then from twrp flash the new rom?

I did not but I doubt I could because the bootloader is locked
Had you try flashing it with Deep Flash Cable?

Mi 8 Fastboot ROM can be downloaded here:

Disclaimer: I had not tested this method but shared from the internet. The IP of the method is from the link shared above and I hold no responsibility in any event it cause damage to your phone.
To resurrect the phone, you will need a MI account with authorized access to the EDL. Look at the topic of Redmi 5 as they resurrect bricks. On our forum, several MI 8 & MI 8 SE have already been resurrected in this way.

thanks for the suggestions guys I was thinking before getting super technical opening up my phone and modding a cable to let you guys know of an update. Last night I stayed up a while i found adb flash tool for recovery mode to flash back to official software (http://www.xiaomitool.com/adb) I downloaded both global and both china otas of stable and beta. First i flashed global successfully but forgot that going from china to global requires unlock boot loader to boot up so it did not boot next I tried china stable but the file is an older version and did not flash since it was "downgrading" and last I tried china beta which was newer in theory but did not flash since it was not stable. So i am going to wait for a new china stable rom to come out whenever it does because in theory it will flash correctly and completely fix the phone because its china miui thats newer than the one global version now i can only wonder if it can flash because i will be going from global to china but again I will let you guys know when i attempt it, I understand I will be waiting a while for a stable version those dont come often but in the meantime i can focus on other things and thankfully i have multiple back up phones. thanks guys

Theoretically and my previous experience with Nexus phone, older version of official ROM should be fine as it should get OTA to latest version. So, I think it is worth a try.
At the same time, I'm still patiently waiting for my 1st Mi 8 to arrive at door step.

I agree with you and I used to own a nexus too so I understand what your saying but I tried flashing miui 9 china stable and the error said it was an older version and it was "illegal to downgrade" which is weird so I'll just wait for an updated version which might take a while
Never lock a boatloader with aftermarket global on a China Xiaomi.
I think because of the flashing the bootloader is locked again, maybe try to unlock it with miui unlock.
Maby Xiaomi enable the anti roll back also for the Mi 8 after they did it to the Xiaomi redmi note 5 whyred? Many people have ended up with bricked phones.
Edit
Same problem solution is unlock boatloader
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/mi-8-safetynet-android-pay-and-related-issues.45286/
I faced the same problem with my Mi 8 when I locked the bootloader after installing Global ROM. Simply put your phone in Fastboot, and again Unlock the Bootloader using Xiaomi official Unlock tool. Once bootloader was unlocked, phone booted normally with Global ROM.
Hello, I have blocked bootloader and now I am with the bootloader loop.
I've tried to unlock again from console and from the Xiaomi tool, but it has not been possible. The tool says that the device is not associated. Any solution to this?
I have also tried from Recovery (With MiFlash) to put the stable Chinese version, but having a higher version installed does not leave me.
If I re-flash the same version, it completes it but when restarting, the loop returns.
Any solution?
Hi I have the same problem but now I have a new and BIG new problem...
When I try to unlock the bootloader with my account the software said me that my account is not bounded in this device... cry cry cry!!!
Somebody knows if it is normal and if I will fixed?
BR
The mi unlock tool problems are mainly because of either it's not verified with your account or because before it bricked you forgot to go to development settings and add your phone for unlock which I forgot to so whenever I try to unlock it again it says it isn't verified because I'm a moron and forgot to add my Mi8 to my account in case something like this happened, now I gotta wait for a stable newer miui 9 China version to flash from the adb software
Any news on how to solve the brick?
The perfect solution would be to have access to an account with EDL permissions to re-unlock the bootloader.

Let me know if you were able to un-brick it.
Looking fwd to see an update from you.
This. Is. F****d. Up. Someone needs to say it. They do totally crazy things and we saw too many bricks coming from their unexplained tinkering with ARB and locking. Additionally, their each new flagship gets always one step closer to the prices of better competition. We are getting too screwed and we desperately need a new, reasonably priced and logical brand. Nokia? Wouldn't say so. Essential? US only and seems to close down. OnePlus? Getting costlier. Google? Got really costly. **** happened. Really, sorry for OT, but my empathy and sociological thinking just hurts me when I see this.

Yeah, I thought I was the only one thinking like this.
Companies want as much money as possible. Oneplus is increasing prices not because the components cost more but because they waste money on ads and want more profit. And they pull it off because people will still buy their phones.
Honestly, the Mi 8 is a " flagship killer-killer",it provides almost the same stuff as the OP6 for less money but people either never heard of Xiaomi or are hesitant when it comes to buying their phones ( I don't understand why, though ) .
As for their phones dying, I only saw bricks from people who tried tinkering with deep level stuff without actually knowing what they were playing with.
They don't suddenly die/lose basic functions out of the blue like e.g. Moto phones and I don't know of a single device which beats them at this price along with what you get in a phone.

Just let me tell that you can do the **** even actually knowing what you are playing with. You just need to forget to change the "clean all and lock" option which comes selected by default. And believe me, it's not that difficult at 3 a.m. after some successful flashes.
I think it's not necessary to dive into the hurt, you know.
Cheers

There is a need for that. This is an expensive toy and you shouldn't be playing with it if you are not 100% that you can undo the thing you will do if it goes wrong ( you are free to do it but then at least try to find a solution yourself ) .
After seeing posts which are pretty much like " uwu I made a f*cking boo boo, a weal f*cky wucky, pweese help me guys ;((((( " ( which could've been avoided by following some logic or by actually investigating before flashing stuff ) , it's high time people who are thinking about unlocking the bootloader actually see what they might be getting into if they "touch wrong things in the wrong way".

Bricked - EDL Mode only

I have the AT&T version and I bricked it by attempting to flash CN 2.1. I knew the risks and its not a huge deal, but I was wondering if anyone has had any success unbricking this phone with miflash or qfil? I cannot seem to find a programmer that will flash this thing correctly. Most of them just reboot EDL mode immediately. I found one MSM8996 .elf programmer that at least hangs for a minute before failing, but thats about it.

Question No way for Open Bootloader and flash some on the Phone

I use the OPP find x3 pro 5g in Germany, and i can't find any ways to Open the Bootloader on this Phone.
Fastboot will Not Perfect comunicated.
Have any Guys an Idea to flash twrp and Install magisk for this Device?
Where can i find Out the Version on Country
I use my Oneplus 7 pro and IT work perfekt with root.
Sorry for my Englisch i come from german.
I thank for some help.
Currently not possible so dont even try unless you want to brick your phone.
I tried to unlock the bootloader with Fastboot, but without success. all commands are terminated with the Fastboot HAL error
I guess it doesn't matter if I have it lying around or throw it in the trash, but I'll try my best. the manufacturer somehow got the ****ing system on it.
I think it's stupid not to adjust a device that costs over 1000 € to my needs.

Not everybody needs it....I rooted only my first android phone around 10 years ago...after that i did not need it. 99% of users are regular users. They dont need to root their phones.
My conclusion about your situation is simple - you should have read some information about Oppo phones before buying x3 pro (locked bootloader in Oppo phones is obvious for many years).
Sell it and buy different one.

Question i haven't found the device 11T (without Pro) - UNLOCKING Bootloader!

Hello Xiaomi Community,
I've been trying all day to unlock the bootloader of my 11T (not to be confused with the "Mi 11") but without success... Developer options are active, OEM and USB debugging are enabled. However, I noticed that after I connected the account and device and closed the settings, the Mi unlock device keeps resetting. That is, when I reopen the developer options, it looks like I never connected my account and device.
Is this normal or is this the fault and what can be done?
Have it with various tools (Win10: xiaomi-bootloader-tool; Mediatek-unlock-tool, XiaoMiTool V2, MiFlash Tool) and (Linux: Xiaomi ADB&Fastboot Tools, ADB&Fastboot) tried, but after rebooting the smartphones it is still locked
I also went through a lot of tutorials step-by-step but it doesn't want to.
Am I making a mistake or is this possibly a bug in the system or something?
P.S. processor is a rather rare MediaTek here.
Hopefully someone can help I am grateful for every answer..

The Waiting Time, that you describe, is the Problem. Da liegt der Hase im Pfeffer, we say in german
I have done the preparatory work more often then i can count... It seems like the Time is resetting itself automatically again and again :/ this sucks..
In certain parts Xiaomi is a absolutely catastrophe.. in comparison with, for example, Huawei.

No it won't. It will show you the time left to unlock. The only thing that will reset the counter is readding the mi account in dev settings. And that's exactly what OP did trying to unlock over and over again each time it failed ignoring the 168 hours waiting time. Judging from his description.
Removing/replacing the sim card is also a bad idea during the waiting time as it is tied to your Mi account.
You just need to add the unlock account in dev options and wait.

Question MIUI 13 stable update bricked my phone

Hi all,
This is my second post here so I'm pretty much a newbie. I have a Mi 11 with Global ROM, Fastboot, TWRP, and Magysk. Today I got the MIUI 13 Stable update which I downloaded and updated. The moment I clicked Reboot I felt something was wrong because the screen just turned black. Now the device feels like it's bricked because it does not respond to any power-up option. No TWRP, no fastboot, no nothing. After connecting It to a PC via USB a device popped up and I guess that's the EDL that's on.
So, the question is can I use EDL to somehow fix my bricked phone without losing my data, because I have a lot of important things incl. work stuff?
Welcome to miui rom ! I had 2 brick with update and you must paid scammers for edl... It works but you pay.
Well if you use Xiaomi device . it will be better to not Update Official Rom . they have high chance bricked .

Data will be formatted either way, but you will recover you device..I'm would suggest with how custom roms are to move away from MIUI and just flash a custom rom, yes you will miss some features of MIUI but you won't have to be worrying about edl brick cause of an update. Besides smooth wise and performance wise custom are way better.
Yes, thank you all.
I managed to fix my device by using Pro tools as it was the cheapest option. I also decided that I need to list this crappy phone for sale and now I am a proud owner of a Nokia E72.
