[Q] Need help with new ROM.

Hello everyone, currently i have a friend of mine that have very bad GPS problems and I suggested on flashing a ROM to start fresh. So since im not familiar witht he phone updates, baseband, bootloader status or details that help me out to select a decent ROM for him.
He is in android 4.4.2, baseband version "VS98026A.-M897A-AAAANAZM-2.020066", build "KOT49I.VS98026A".
So i was wondering what AOSP like ROM would you guys recommend me ? or what steps can i take to install a good rom on this phone ?

I researched a little bit in this forum in the Android development to find a rom that is based on locked bootloader with android 5.0.2..
Does there any rom exist, because i didnt find even once :|

Hi guys i wanna try to use custom rom but I'm a little bit confuse on how to flash, properly i wanna use arrow os 12 and currently unlocked my boot loader, im on mui v 12.5.9 do i need to downgrade my fw before flashing?

and I'm confuse on oss rom and mui rom version.. pls enlighten me thank you. Im from Philippines.
