Question what's the speaker quality like? - OnePlus 10 Pro

anyone know or seen hands-on reviews talking about this?
I'm actually trying to decide between this or a xiaomi mi 12 pro. so far I've heard one comment from one of the youtube reviewers say the speaker quality is nothing special.
personally i like phones speakers that have a bit of bass..

I am eagerly awaiting this device in Europe myself after a disappointing experience with the Pixel 6 Pro.
I saw in a video somewhere can't remember where they were crisp and clear audio coming from the 10 Pro.
The audio on the Pixel 6 Pro at least in gaming was absolutely terrible, Sounded mono and quiet.

Sound coming out of phone speakers will never be crisp and clear. They're not HiFi devices; the drivers are designed to be as tiny and loud as possible without blowing up.

My 8 Pro and 9 Pro speaker sounded good enough for my usage...
Also not impressed with my Pixel 6 Pro
Waiting on OnePlus10Pro Global around March usa...

I'm also looking forward to the release of this phone. I have a pixel 6 pro on order since Jan 1 (Canada). The latest revised delivery is March 2-3. However the more I read up on the Pixel the less enthused I'm becoming.

Speaker is loud, but sounds a bit thin. My pixel 6 pro sounds better
Also, if you care about photography, pixel 6 pro is much better.

The speaker is good, but it is a phone after all so it's not fantastic. It's probably a little better than Pixel 6 Pro ( which I also have ) but not quite as deep sounding. Camera is solid, I'm actually quite impressed, I wouldn't say any significant improvement over 9 Pro, but an improvement nonetheless. It's still struggling in low light, unfortunately.

Pictures of screen for comparison

I can't help but feel I am imagining the washed out effect I see on my N7, perhaps I am just too used to the amoled saturation. Thought pictures of my N7 looking like others would help me feel better about it. Feel free to show if yours looks any different! Of course now that I'm looking at the pic I just took it doesn't show much difference, but in person it does.
Both at 75% brightness:

I'm personally happy with the screen on the Nexus7. You can't compare it to a Super AMOLED+ screen though. The latter is much better quality with a higher contrast ratio.
I do notice some light bleeding around the edge, but I can live with that. Watching movies, everything looks great.
No point in other people posting pictures of their Super AMOLED phones vs Nexus 7.
AMOLED = Much more vivid colors.
And yes, the Nexus 7 will look 'washed out'
Why is it that this tablet is the least expensive contender on the market and the screen is NOT better than the highest end most expensive table screen?

LOL. I think he was being sarcastic
As far as screens, your comparing Mercedes quality (tablet) to Bentley quality (samoled gnex).
Sent from my Nexus 7
Yeah. Sorry for the sarcasm. It just bugs me. I love this thing. Everytime I interact with it I am pleasantly surprised.
i have nothing to add to this thread except that the OP's camera sucks.

hah, it is an ipad camera...does suck indeed. I just wanted a little reassurance that it's normal, all good. I'm cool with it, just wanted to make sure I'm in the norm. Have no one around to compare to.

What We're Expecting for the Honor Magic 2 Launch

The original Honor Magic first showed up in December of 2016 and was one of Honor's less-popular phones. This could be due to the limited availability, or maybe it was a misunderstood phone. The Honor Magic was a more significant phone than you might remember and that's why I'm really excited for the Honor Magic 2. The Honor Magic was actually the first AI phone to ever hit the market. These days you'll see most flagship phones taking advantage of some sort of version of AI technology, but the Magic did it before all of them. This set the groundwork for the Honor 10, Honor View 10, Honor Play, and Honor 8X, which all use the same AI technology.

Now with the Honor Magic 2 on the way, we could see another evolution of their AI system. They teased a new AI assistant called "Yoyo" at the 8X launch event. Since then we haven't received any further information on it, but I expect it will have a lot to add to the current state of digital assistants.
They've also shown us a bit of the new pop-up camera which gets rid of any need for a notched display. We have seen this design implemented into other devices since then, but we still don't know the full details of how this function will work.
The launch date for the Honor Magic 2 is set for October 31st in Beijing. This new phone will undoubtedly set the groundwork for new technologies for future Honor phones. We will learn more about the specs and price at the launch, which so far have been kept a secret.
A few details about the new phone have leaked. We know that it will feature six cameras with three on the back and three on the front. There will also be a curved 2K AMOLED display which is a rare thing to see in an Honor device. The exterior of the Honor Magic 2 will have similar curves as the Mate 20. We also have a look at the color options for the phone.
We will be covering the event live on our Facebook page. Make sure you check it out at 7AM ET.

Question Oppo Find X3 Pro 2021?

Hello everyone,
Recently, Oppo has launched the product Oppo Find X3 Pro. This is a product in the high-end segment of Oppo because its price is quite high. In the media, everywhere is the advertising image for the product. Therefore, I want to ask everyone about the detailed configuration of the product. Is that price worth the price it offers? Hope everyone please tell me the answer.
Thanks everyone.
I do think it's worth the money, specially when bought within the pre-order period. Not sure that same goes for other countries but over here in The Netherlands we get an bonus package containing an Oppo Watch 46mm, a wireless charger and a special kevlar case ( total package €477 )
Which means the price for the device suddenly seems a bit more interesting

General Android 12 Beta 5

I would love to know everyone's opinion that is currently running Android 12 beta 5. I'm getting the best performance and battery life of just about any phone I've ever owned but this is also my first Pixel device. I also find the UI of Android 12 to be quite striking and a bold move in the right direction for Google. I will upload some screenshots of my benchmarks and device set up for those who are on Android 11 and curious about the beta's performance/aesthetic. Anyone else on this firmware please feel free to leave your thoughts/impressions/concerns in this thread.

agree, I like it as well. Although, I think the 5a could be just a little bit faster. Sometimes it's a little sluggish. But I am spoiled by S21Ultra and OnePlus8 Pro which I don't have anymore. The battery life is stellar. Sometimes I get through 2days before I have to start charging.
cheers

What happened to your OnePlus and S21 Ultra? Just curious.. I can relate though my previous phone was an LGV60 so I understand about the speed.. this is my first "Mid-range" device but I have to say aside from the speed/processing power of the V60, I think this Pixel 5a is superior in every other way. I'm definitely excited to see what kind of developmental support we'll be getting as more people get their hands on the device. If its already this good on stock android, I can't wait to see what this phone can do on a custom ROM.

I sold my OP 8Pro to buy the S21 Ultra. That was my downfall....
there is a long thread here that explains what happened to me with horrible Samsung Support story. Bottomline, screen had manufacturing problem and it took me 4 months to get my money back and it involved the consumer court.
I really like the 5a, don't get me wrong. It runs the latest Android, which I would not be able to do on the OP 8Pro or the S21 Ultra. The camera is wonderful. The sluggishness is mostly due to the fact that I got so used to >90Hz refresh rates.
cheers
What to expect and when ? And are we going to see 4.1 like we did with beta 2&3.

My iPhone 13 Mini starlight arrived earlier today (thanks Amazon).
Im an IT guy by trade and hobby and have always gravitated towards the larger phones.
However as of recently Ive had the need to have both iPhone and Android devices (work reasons) and up until my Mini arrived, was using the Apple 12 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
However, my usage case gravitated more towards the android for media consumption, file management, social media etc and the iPhone was more work based / apple ecosystem esq / so iMessage, copy and paste between phone and macOS, Apple Pay and Apple CarPlay (Android Auto sux big time)
However it got me thinking that as the usage of iOS was not as screen intensive as the S21 Ultra, a smaller iPhone would make more sense!
Whilst the mini is used alongside the big boy Android, the x2 together fit my work and play requirements beautifully , far mo so than caring around x2 behemoths!

S21 Ultra and Pixel 6
I also have an iPhone in my backpack, but it is my least used device by far. The Note 10 is now my daily, the LG V20 is a backup on alarm duty, and the HTC One has been relegated to security duty, but the Moto X Pure Edition is still my favorite ever (best screen + best sound ever seen and heard on a mobile device). If I didn't desire band 71 LTE, I probably would've ended up just switching back to a higher capacity Pure Edition.
I have 2 phones, the s21 ultra and iphone se.. my s21 ultra is ny daily driver, i was going to make iphone as my daily driver because of the apple watch 7 and ipad pro 2021..but i felt its not the time yet to do this move
I have the galaxy watch 4..but i felt the watch 7 is way better
I've always been a Pixel fan, had each one and have a P6P now. The Galaxy S phones always interest me too and I usually grab one. I don't have 2 at the moment but I'm seeing that S22U in my future. I think the way to fix my dilemma is to have both.
