Question Low Bluetooth volume - Xiaomi 11T Pro

So I recently bought Xiaomi 11T, about a month ago, and the volume on my true wireless earbuds is extremely low compared to my older phone (Xiaomi Mi A1), which was running on Android 9. So I looked it up and did find a possible solution but the phone had to be factory reset to solve through that solution, which I don't want to do because it's frustrating doing it all again. I tried solving (linked below) this by following the steps except the resetting one, but it did not solve this issue. So is there any way that I can solve the low volume issue without resetting the phone?
DO NOTE that "Disable absolute volume" option in developer options is TURNED OFF.
Solution with resetting the phone.
Please help me out!

Mine fixed after changing Region to United States
Update. After changing region. Reboot phone

Did you check your dolby atmos settings?
Maybe adjust the equalizers or select a preset?

I tried changing them, but to no avail. But as you may see in the Xiaomi forum, it seems to be some other issue, changing certain values by going into engineering mode. But thanks for the suggestion!

Will that cause certain features (I don't know which exactly) to not work, as I reside in Pakistan?
Update: I did change the region but it didn't help.

Have you restarted the phone? If not then restart it then try testing the sounds on bluetooth

that is so weird, i dont seem to face any issue. i remember someone having this issue same phone, but the dev options absolute volume did the trick for him. but it seems you have already tried it.

Yes I did, but it did not help. Volume is still low.
I hope I'm able to find a solution before I try the one I posted in the screenshot and the link, which I'll do as a last resort. Don't wanna reset the phone.

Have you tried listening to your earbuds on the previous or some other phone? Maybe your volume is low as well, but you might have not noticed it or gotten used to it without knowing. I don't know. But yeah, it is weird. At the moment, the max volume on 11T seems like 50-60% of actual max volume.

I dont know why but when I receive a notification like whatsapp sound in other apps like YouTube stops for a second any idea how to fix this ?

Hello
I have a Xiaomi Mi 11 lite and today I purchased the Redmi buds 3 pro and can confirm the same behavior happens, I connected the earbuds to my Nvidia shield and my mom's Huawei Mate 20 and the volume goes way higher on those devices than on my xiaomi, disabled absolute volume control in the earbuds options, changed region and the issue persits

In some contruys they ristriced we volume. In Germany also, after my Phone Changes in settings the Region to India no problem

I had the same problem in Xiaomi 11t (not PRO). And changing the region solved it. Important to notice that after changing the region, you have to reboot the phone. And... even though it does not seem to affect, what I will try is: Unpair the earphones, change region, reboot phone, pair earphones again.

Yes just go into sound assistant and turn on "Multiple audio sources". The audio will no longer decrease when notifications come.

I have already tried doing this, to no avail, sadly. It's been 3.5 months and still facing the same issue. I don't want to try the solution which requires resetting the phone, mentioned in the post.

I can verify this problem as well. Bought MI 11t. 50% low volume on Bluetooth devices

Now all we need is that unlocked bootloader.
After speaking with ZTE customer support, I was told that they would not officially offer any type of unlocked Bootloader. Also, they made it clear that the Bootloader is to remain inaccessible on the A1P
So far the new patch has been working really good.... Also the battery life has improved

Gave that a shot and it didn't work. I just noticed as well the update I'm attempting to download is 96mb, not 7mb as noted by the original poster. Would this be the original b25 update?
Unfortunately I can't post a screenshot, as I'm newly registered. When the update fails, the screen gives me a "status - 8 package mismatch" error before booting and then forces a reboot. Once rebooted and I check on the system update tab, it tells me "unable to update - package mismatch 403". Love the feel of this phone, but a bit frusturated that 2 days into owning it, it's already giving me issues.

Yes the 96mb is the first updated that came out last week.
I would suggest calling ZTE customer support as they have been very quick and helpful to me.
The Customer Axon Support Line: 800-617-5065 (this is the USA number)
Also another way to get there attention is to post and tag them on Twitter @axonPhone they monitor their twitter feed closely.

i am having poor GSM signals on my device, and secondly the recent apps take like 2 to 3 seconds if i press the kill all button
any one else has same issue?
i alsi noticed that the screen is a bit peeling out from the bottom left side :/
GPS issues with this phone. Neither Waze or Google maps are working properly. My old Lg Leon cheap ass phone worked much better when it came to positioning.
Second: Speaker on the phone is not working. Can't use it on loud speaker only holding it by my ear.
Third: Headphones (JBL came in box) don't work well. Mic doesn't work, music stops by itself as if I pressed pause button. Weird experience. Expected more.
Does anybody else have the same problems?

Just to update, I spoke with Ashley at ZTE about this issue. Apparently, they had another 1-2 devices with the same issue as mine, but otherwise nothing. They're sending me a new device, as they had no other solution. All and all I'm pleased with their service. Everytime I've called, they've picked up right away and been helpful. Hopefully the new device doesn't have the same issue as mine regarding the update.

Extreme battery drain?? 6.0.1

Has anyone else run into this after 6.0.1 update. It really didn't hit me until last night when I decided to test it. Unplugged my phone at 80% and went to sleep only to wake up to it dropping almost 50%!!!!!....not normal. It looks like something is just not right with everything after the update because after checking everything, nothing seems to fit. And before you say it was my wifi, I just changed that, this happened even if wifi was off. But I can say doze is definitely not working and no app seemed to go "rouge" with wakelocks when trying to check. Going to downgrade back to a previous build of 6.0, but hopefully someone else can chime in. Only found a few articles of people reporting the same thing but no one is actually posting possible solutions, just bashing a legitimate concern. Hopefully I don't run into that here.....

Only out of place thing I see is that your screen was on at some points but the phone wasn't saying it was awake. That leads me to believe there's a kernel wakelock issue because I had the same thing but on 5.1. The issue turned out for me to be a wakelock called bluesleep which is related to bluetooth and it came about from an app called gasbuddy which silently updated to provide support for bluetooth "beacons" at gas stations to give you deals or some crap like that. If you're rooted you can install BetterBatteryStats to test for kernel wakelocks, you can test for bluesleep wakelock by just turning off bluetooth and seeing if the drain/weird screen-on not awake thing happens, and long press power off to start the phone in safe mode to narrow down whether its a system issue or installed app issue and if rooted use an app freezer like Titanium Backup to freeze your installed apps a few at a time to narrow down what app(s) are causing it(so you don't have to uninstall/reinstall trial and error).

Wow thanks for that, I actually use GasBuddy, wish you were here before the factory reset I did, but everything seemed to go back to normal after I did the reset but I wanted to actually try to find out specifics. I haven't rooted just because I use Android pay (I know system less root us out there) but I'll try to keep an eye out for that stuff if it happens again.

Maintenance update - gyroscope issues.

Hi.
Yes, I notice it too and find it annoying. As far as I can tell, this is a software issue and not hardware and to think that Sony would make such an error is incredible.
A reboot and it works for a short while, then back to not working again.
*shrugs*
kekePower
Is there somewhere to log the fault on phone or has anybody tried to do something with pc companion or do just have to what for them to fix it
Hi
I am on sw 1.238 only apps were updated no system update has been installed and i have the rotation issue as well.
I think one of the apps (i think one of the sony apps) is causing the problem.

I just did the gyroscope diagnostic and I still pass. The ball just moves slightly more jerky than usual. I have not had any functional issues while in use. The phone has been on for 3 days currently.
Thanks for the feedback people... I was about to break my phone as I got pissed over this bad quality phone.
This being said, this will probably be my last Sony phone, they have made errors on every phone and lies regarding quality and photo.
A reboot helps, for a while

It is strange. I had this issue once. Since then there were these updates and I disabled a few apps, for example AR effect or lifelog (preinstalled "system" apps, which cannot be uninstalled without root).
My last restart was four days ago - meanwhile I took quite a lot pictures - no issues so far. If it helps by any means I can post my list of disabled apps - it might be at least a workaround...?!?
I had the same problem.
Did a sofware repair through companion and after the maintenance update again the accelerometer and compass stop working. Really seems to be a software bug with the new maintenance update.

Hi,
Please share your disabled apps. I would like to try to disable them.
Edit:
I have foun your list on sony support forum, thanks.
I will try to disable these apps one by one. Let's see which is causing the problem.
As i am still on 35.0.A.1.238 and never installed system update just the apps were updated i think one of the apps is causing the problem.
Hopefully it fixes your problem as well - maybe it was just coincidence, but I didn't have this problem for quite a while now...
Thanks.

It might be the combination. I did not touch "What's new" so far... as long as the issue seems to be solved, it's fine - but it might be interesting for our fellow guys, what exactly caused and / or cured it
I think this is caused by maintenance update provided a few days ago.
This updated system "memory" app, and uninstalling the update may fix the issue.
Go to: setting>app>all app>memory>uninstall update
My accelerometer stopped working.... but gyro working fine..... I tried service tests using *#*#7378423#*#*.....
just noticed this issue while I was trying to see the images in landscape mode.... waiting for 7.0
Gyroscope/Auto-Rotation Issue
Hey everyone,
I'm also having this same issue, but only since the most recent update from late September. When trying to make a pic display as fullscreen by rotating the phone, nothing happens, unless I reboot the phone. Then within day or two, it starts happening again. When I go to camera it loads up and STAYS in landscape mode, no matter what I do, even closing it out and clearing out the cache & force stopping it then reactivating it. It seems like a software issue that Sony needs to address PRONTO!
It appears another thread here on XDA is dealing with the same issue. I tried shenlong85's idea and it seems to have fixed the issue, but I need another day or so to make sure. If you don't hear from me by Sunday (10/23), assume it's been fixed. Hopefully the Nougat update we're all about to get any day now will permanently fix it!

This has been driving my nuts, because wireless charging stand and pad receiver I bought have been constantly disconnecting/reconnecting, while the phone is on the charging stand. And each time disconnect/reconnect occurs, the phone makes annoying loud sounds, which cannot be muted, unless you put the phone in the Silent mode, which disables other sounds I dont want to disable. I finally found where those damn audio files are, so I could eradicate them from my phone:
Code:
\system\priv-app\MiuiSystemUI.apk\res\raw\
the two .ogg files inside the apk in that folder are responsible for my and might co-workers, who have to listen to my phone, nightmares. I tried replacing those files with blanks using APK editor. When I did that, the phone just started making a different sound from those 2, identical this time for both connect/disconnect events, but no less annoying and also loud.
Does anybody know of some sort of build.prop hack to disable charger connected/disconnected sounds, or a Xposed module, which can do the job? As far as I've researched, there is no native setting on MIUI phones for that, vanilla marshmallow roms do have it. TIA.

had similar problems early on. solved with xposed module MIUI 8 Tweaks pro version
go to the Power tab
power connection behavior (i use these settings below)
on connection to charger - no system sound, keep sleeping
on disconnect - no system sound, keep sleeping (this one is important as yes, for some reason it disconnects randomly in the night and the phone screen would light up)
additionally, i wanted my led to not flash during certain hours. i used to do this with the xposed gravitybox module, but that is only to work with vanilla android. for some reason it also works to stop the led controls in miui during my quiet hours. now i am happy, when i go to bed i put the phone on the wireless charging stand and it stays completely silent with the display off till i wake up.

Settings>Sounds & Vibration>Charging Sounds
You can disable charging sounds by turning the slider to OFF
This way you dont have to be on silent mode.

As I said in my original post - there is no native setting on MIUI phones for that. The setting you talk about does not exist on MIUI rom for Mi Mix.

What ROM are you on?
I'm running the stock EU ROM by xiaomi.eu, which is basically stock MIUI minus Chinese bloatware and pre-installed GAPPS.

I don't think this is a feature specific to the EU ROM because I have a few other devices running MIUI and this option exists in the stock Global ROM on these devices as well.

Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for. Screen not turning on each time charging starts/stops is just a bonus - I was only looking to disable sounds! And it actually doesnt even require the pro version of MIUI 8 Tweaks - regular one can set those settings just fine

If wireless charging keeps disconnecting\reconnecting frequently, you should be more worried about THIS rather than the sounds\notifications as this could potentially strain\wear the battery\charging circuitry.
Its comparable to having an instable circuit\loose connection which could heat up\spark out eventually.

It doesn't exist on stock 8.0.12 MIUI rom. Trust me - I'm not blind, and if it was there I would have found it. if not after hours of googling then after your post for sure. I am aware the option exists in vanilla marshmallow and some other roms - I've said so in my original post. It doesnt really help to know that. Knives of ice's advice did the trick, so I'm good now, but there is no native setting for it.

The 1000+ amazon reviewers for both, the quick wireless charging stand I use, and the wireless charging receiver sticker I use, who gave near 5 star rating to both, don't seem to be worried about it, so at this point neither am I. As far as heating up goes - I use Ampere app and closely monitor phone/battery temperature - it hardly ever gets over 42 C.

I see. I wasn't implying that your information was incorrect. I apologize if you felt so. All I was trying to say was that the feature exists on a few of my other Xiaomi devices that ship with the Official MIUI Global ROM.
I wonder why they removed it on the Mix. Anyway this is new information for me as I haven't tried the Official ROM as I mentioned earlier.
So that's one more reason for me to stay away from the official builds. Happy on EU.
Good to know that your issue is resolved!
Cheers!

Again, was not implying that your chargers are bad. Just saying, you may want to check why it keeps disconnecting\reconnecting frequently and what may be causing this to happen.
It could be a case interfering\a faulty (not poor quality) charger or even a bug in the ROM itself.
If you do find the source of the problem, this would be really helpful.
Even I've ordered a wireless charging receiver + Stand and they are on the way. So any information that you may find on the cause of the problem would be helpful to me and many others.
Cheers!

Question Audio issues?

I just got the S21 ultra and it is a good phone except for one issue. When audio switches between applications it goes mute. I constantly have to hit pause then play in order to get the audio to kick back on. This is incredibly annoying as i am a driver and now contantly messing with the phone while driving.
Has anyone else noticed this and what is the fix?

What apps are you referring to? Typically a media player plays audio. If you open a different app how would it know what the media player is playing and why should it start playing the audio?
Youtube. This is an issue that has never happened on any phone other than this one. If something interrupts the current stream, it is muted when I get back to the stream until I pause and restart the stream. I have been streaming youtube while i work for years, the s21 ultra is the only one that has this behavior.
Gotcha, this should solve your problem.
How to Prevent YouTube from Pausing Automatically
Most of the time, YouTube offers uninterrupted video watching. However, even the world’s largest video streaming platform fails to deliver sometimes. In fact, many users report YouTube pausing issues on their devices. If you’re experiencing the same problem,

Do you possibly have power savings turned on? I would suspect that maybe YT is being put to sleep by the system when it goes to the background. Additionally, I would recommend you to research Vanced Youtube.
Was the problem that the volume was muting or changing your volume level?
Or was the problem just that Youtube was pausing, affecting the volume level?
Go here & grab the latest Goodlock, then install Sound Assistant. Check out the setting in this screenshot, it may eliminate your problem.

And I second this with YT Vanced. Remember too that browsers also have their own individual sound settings for minimize/screen lock.

I actually am using Vanced. And it isnt happening when YT goes to the background, it happens at commercials, too. Any stream interruption causes it

Ooh, i will give it a look. I think battery management is a likely issue. It was not only adaptive, ut was restricted.vanced manager is now getting unrestricted.

Vanced manager shouldn't matter. It is the Vanced YT app that should be kept out of the restrictions.

I'd advice you to recreate the issue while doing a screen recording then upload it here. That way your issue will most likely be resolved much faster, in case it is still going on.

I will, but I have an update.... it is a bluetooth issue. Apparently Samsung has an issue with its audio when streaming to vehicles. The reason none of my other phones did it is because they all used an audio jack, not bluetooth.

Glad it solved your problem! What's great about this site & the author's work is you don't need the Samsung store or a Samsung account to get all that stuff.
