Question "Sleep" time resets to 5 minutes - Xiaomi 11T Pro

I have a little but annoying problem with my 11T Pro, so i'd like to find out if it's caused by some of applications i use or it is a system bug.
The Sleep time (Settings - Always-on display & Lock screen) is "After 5 minutes of inactivity" and when i change it to another value it resets again to 5 minutes after every screen lock.
Am i the only one with such a issue?

Strange, sounds like an isolated issue. I haven't faced that on my 11T Pro (Global Variant). Are you running the latest MIUI Version? Try updating if you're not on the latest one already.

I'm on latest Global too. I have many applications installed (above 400) and i suppose that the culprit is some of them (launchers, dialers, Tasker etc.) but unfortunately all my attempts to find the reason for my problem are fruitless for now.

Random freeze on xiaomi.eu Miui 12 rom

Hi I have been using the miui 12 with eu rom since the first beta but the latest updates destroyed my phone. My phone completely freeze like 30% of the time when I unlock the lockscreen, 90% of the time when I close the facebook messenger buble by swiping it down. Right now I'm on stable and I'm using candy kernel. This hasn't been resolved since the lastest 3 updates or so. Anyone else having the same issues or any solutions?
Same here on Mi 9T Pro , miui 12 latest stable, everything is stock here

Which exact version are you using? I'm on xiaomi.eu 12.0.2.0 stable and have not encountered any lag issues or crashes.

I'm using 20.6.18 stock kernel, no issues here. Popup windows are a bit bugged but other than that it's fine. My browser occasionally freezes, forcing me to go to my homescreen and back into it but that seems like an issue with said browser. Sounds like an issue with Candy kernel to me.

Same problem with Poco F2 Pro
Same here, with MI mix 2s, very frustrating ?
hello. i have the same problem i have figured out that if i disable the fb messenger chat heads, the problem is solved and i no longer have random freezes. can anyone else try it out and confirm if it works on you guys too?
I am experiencing the same problem on my Redmi Note 8 PRO.
The screen lags and sometimes freezes when I unlock, and freezes for about 3-5 minutes when closing FB Messenger bubbles. Then it kind or reboots and says something like, "The device closed unexpectedly" and goes back to the home screen.
From what i've read, a lot of people have also been experiencing this. I hope they address and hopefully resolve it soon.

if i enable the fb chat heads again after disabling it like you said, will i go back to freezing? will i have to forever keep my chat heads disabled? because i can't afford to keep them disabled. :/

same . using 12.0.3 eu rom
It's been almost 2 days without freezes since I uninstalled messenger. I guess we have to wait until miui 13 to get it fixed...

Question Redmi Note 10 Pro lagging after MIUI 12.5.2.0 update

Hi! I have a big and annoying problem. I have a Redmi Note 10 Pro phone that I upgraded from MIUI 12.5.1.0 to 12.5.2.0 2 days ago and have been struggling with lags ever since. I've tried everything, including a factory reset, to reinstall the phone from the recovery menu, but the problem didn't go away. It’s a pretty annoying problem that I can’t normally use my new phone I bought recently. Is it possible to downgrade MIUI from 12.5.2.0 back to 12.5.1.0? Or what should I do? Please help!

The same experience here, the device's performance has dropped significantly since updating to 12.5.2.0 and has terrible lag opening apps.
I'm still on 12.5.1, but have noticed that this broke the Google clock alarms - had that been fixed with 12.5.2?

I don't know. Since I have already managed to resolve to revert to MIUI Version 12.5.1.0.
Does yours work with Google alarms since you went back to 12.5.1?

Yes.
Weird... I've reverted to the Xiaomi click app, but that doesn't give access to YouTube music as an alarm time source.

The whole MIUI system is a mess. That's all I can say... I don't understand why there are so many bugs in the system with a phone like this. Xiaomi Developers should pay more attention to this.
i've no issue but app bugs cannot solved
i decided to go with xiaomi.eu still waiting to unlock the bootloader , looks like there are many differences
I am on 12.5.2 and I have no issues.
Turns off and on and works perfectly.
UPI apps is not working in dual app mode. Does anybody else also facing it? Any solutions?

Question miui 13.0.4

I've had the 11t pro for a little more than 2 months and even though it's not the best device out there, it does a pretty good job for a budge phone with such specs(in my opinion)
a few things I've noticed and not sure if others share the same frustration are:
after upgrading to miui 13.0.4 I noticed in top left corner (mic/cam)icons that show up when I open any app using them...any way to disable them?
when playing a game, I noticed phone sometimes lags so badly(though it's not a demanding game, visual wise) and I can't even have a whatsapp video call while playing without phone going terribly slow until I end the game.
sometimes out of the blue, the phone becomes super laggy even with no apps running, and I can't figure out what is causing it, so I end up restarting it.
if anyone has noticed anything else or has got any tips/tricks please share
p.s: is it doable to flash an eu rom on a device with global rom? I was told difference between both is google pay on european which doesn't exist on global, but I have it on mine.

The mic and camera icons is an Android 12 security feature to let you know when you might be listened to or seen, and I don't think it can be removed.
No idea regarding the game and slow downs. Sometimes with a major version change it is better to factory reset and set up from scratch, so that might help.
Yes you can flash different ROMs from other regions. The IMPORTANT thing is if your device came with a Global ROM and you unlock your bootloader and flash the Europe ROM, then you must not lock the bootloader again, if you do it will brick your device. You can put back the original Global ROM then lock again.
Hope that help.s

After updating from 12.5.21 to 13.0.9 I have experienced lags in various situation as well. After that I unlocked bootloader and flashed xiaomi.eu 13.0.4, but it's not much better. Now I'm thinking about downgrading to xiaomi.eu 12.5.10 or stock 12.5.21, that worked very well.

I use xiaomi Eu rom without any problem.
it is preferable for the first installation to use the script "windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format" then for the updates"windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat".

I know that It was clean installation. On stock with MIUI 13 I had the same problems.
I'm now on version 13.0.9, jumped to this version from 12, clean installation. What I'm finding is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turnoff around 23:30 each night, this seems to be some deliberate power saving function when the phone detects the person is likely asleep, and I can see in my access point log exactly when Wi-Fi disassociates and turns off, only turning on again in the morning when I unlock the phone. This may be related to having DND turned on using the schedule option, this is set from 22:00, but I have this set to still be disturbed by my contacts, so need Wi-Fi to remain connected. This all worked fine on version 12.
I can't see any settings under Wi-Fi or battery management to disable this. Anyone else seeing the same thing or have a solution?

Did some more Googling, found others having the exact same issue, see
https://www.reddit.com/r/miui/comments/tlxjjh
Appears to be a deliberate power saving feature, where the option to disable it, due to a bug or oversight, isn't available.
What is it with Xiaomi and their excessive battery saving modes.
wouldn't you find it under battery settings?

That appears to be the bug in that the options to disable it are missing. There are no settings anywhere to disable it.

Redmi 9 Problem: Occasional Reboots by Maxing out the Volume and etc

Hello, I'd like to asked if you guys also experience this:
Whenever I try to maxed out the volume and play something whether its a video or music, the phone just reboots right after. Though I wouldn't say it is only limited to maxing out the volume I also experience some reboots whenever I try to call and I feel like it reboots when I overwork the phone by opening "heavy" apps. Overheating??
Idk what happened but before I noticed those kind of stuff to happen in my Redmi 9. I just previously fixed it from bootloop w/o recovery & w/o fastboot due to downgrading from MIUI 13.0.5 CN ROM to MIUI 11.0.4 GLOBAL ROM.
So I was wondering whether it was a software issue or hardware issue in this case the battery. Idk if someone had ever tried this but I've watched a similar problem got fixed in youtube w/ Redmi Note 9 instead
with soldering or reheating the fuse within the battery.
Known fix: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/fix-nokia-8-restart-problem.4458427/
Haven't tried it yet tho, but will update if it actually works on my device.

Sound bug (maybe) on Redmi 9C

Hello, I wonder if anyone here ever experience the same issue as I have right now. My device Xiaomi Redmi 9C (4/64, MIUI Global 12.5.2.0) has, I think sort of bug where the sound suddenly muted/disabled.
I noticed this for the first time when I watched Youtube. The problem affect another apps as well, such as music/video player, notification, etc. In short, anything that has to do with sound.
When I did restart on the phone, the problem seems to be solved but the sound will ocassionally disabled again. If you have any tips to fix this problem, please share it with me.
Thank you in advance.
Note: please excuse my english since it's not my primary/daily language.

I was using MIUI 12.5 and also happened to me that problem and apparently it is the fault of the ROM,it seems normal to me since it is the first version of MIUI 12.5 for 9C, then I can come to understand because it is a problem that with a reboot is solved, hopefully the next update of MIUI 12.5 solve it

I see. Yeah, hopefully they will fix the bug on next update. In my case, after trying some random methods, the bug always triggered when I enabled autoplay on Youtube. I haven't experience the issue again since I disabled that feature. That way, I don't have to reboot my phone again and again. Kinda weird fix though.
