How To Guide Android 12 (MIUI13 for Xiaomi 11T pro) || MIUI13 EU - Xiaomi 11T Pro

Hi Guys, so we got a pilot release for MIUI 13. Here is the guide to flash/update using Xiaomi.eu ROM:
Update to MIUI13 (Android 12) from MIUI EU V12.5
A TWRP backup of current rom is recommended before following the next steps
You can follow my guide to know how you do it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-flash-twrp-root-device-flash-eu-rom.4402203/
Download Fastboot EU rom from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...13.0.1.0.SKDMIXM_v13-12-fastboot.zip/download
Extract all the contents in zip file to any normal folder
We will be using Bootloader/Fastboot mode. Boot into Bootloader: Power off your mobile then hold Volume Down + Power Button till Fastboot bunny pops up
Connect your device to PC
To update use the updater executable for respective OS platform windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat (for windows)
For clean flash you can use windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format.bat (for windows)
Follow the procedures as per above choice
Wait patiently while the PC does its Job.
You may see a long pause post “writing Cust” command depending on PC configuration. try hitting any letter key on your keyboard, the process continues this way.
You may hit letter key whenever you see unusual pauses during pushing of super partition file sparse sending 1 of 9 to 9 of 9
Wait till process finishes and reboots
Flash Magisk and Root
Copy boot.img from the extracted ROM images folder to your mobile
Global Boot.img (use this if you wanna root Globoal Miui13.
Install latest Magisk app from here: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v24.1/Magisk-v24.1.apk
Install the app and select install in Magisk and choose patch source file and select the boot.img you copied.
Wait for the process, copy the new patched image form mobile to your PC
Now lets flash the new pathced boot image using below, replace with path to boot image in place of “< --- >”
fastboot flash boot_a “<magisk_patched.img>”
fastboot flash boot_b “<magisk_patched.img>”
Reboot and check the magisk app
Follow my guide here to pass safteyNet: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-flash-twrp-root-device-flash-eu-rom.4402203/

Only the stock global rom is for recovery, xiaomi.eu rom is for fastboot.

I can boot the twrp.img, but I can't navigate in the main menu. It won't do anything

Probably twrp is not yet compatible with the new android 12 firmware, some users also reported the same problem.

Thanks for the quick reply

I'm updated whiteout format data. Everything looks ok.

Alright, so I was previously rooted on 12.5 (global), non twrp. its not necessary for rooting.
I did the ota update to v13 miui (global). but as its a switch between v11 and v12 of android its not possible to install magisk into an empty a/b slot.
I tried to fastboot flash your global miui boot.img after patching it with magisk and it did not work.
I suspect the boot.img to not be compatible with the global rom.
So I opted to flash the Eu fastboot version of miui 13, I set up the phone.
Then patched the stock boot.img with magisk and fastboot that. Done phone is now rooted on v13 miui. and passing safety net check.
phone data was lost as i had to switch from global to eu.

Can anyone confirm that we get widgets and other features that are not found in the miui 13 global I want to make the switch but I want to know what would still be missing

The global fastboot rom is now released. follow same steps above to have rooted global non twrp.
V13.0.1.0.SKDMIXM (https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/vili/stable/V13.0.1.0.SKDMIXM/)
-Edit-
Ive also updated to the latest via ota V13.0.2.0.SKDMIXM (Stable beta). but as it detected the boot.img was modified it downloaded the entire recovery rom. Installed. Lost root access.
I then fastboot re flashed the patched boot.img from the V13.0.1.0.SKDMIXM and it works.
so im rooted/ safetynet check passed on V13.0.2.0.SKDMIXM (Global)
roms can be found here https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/vili/

Downloaded the latest EEU vili_eea_global_images_V13.0.8.0.SKDEUXM_20220224.0000.00_12.0_eea_38cc4dcea7.tgz
but the only .bat files I see are
flash_all.bat, flash_all_except_storage.bat and flash_all_lock.bat

It's a fastboot stock rom which this flash with miflash or with bat files
This thread is about XIAOMI EU custom rom

This phone is so ****ty, I'm trying to do OTA update via 100mbit/'s network in netherlands from about two f***NG weeks and it can not be finished. I can't belive that I have paid 800€ for so big ****!

Hello
For the ROOT it works perfectly (without TWRP, just with magisk)
You unlock the bootloader and wait 1 week, you extract the boot.img, you modify the file with magisk and do the command wtih adb with the modified boot
Very simple
(If you want to extract the rom file by yourself you can just extract with a little tool after your download the rom
, you can extract the fil with the payloaf file, for that, just have a look in the method 3 in this link)

Help me flash LOS17

Hey,
So I am new to this and I want to make sure I don't break anything.
I have the Mi 9T Pro with MIUI Global 10.3.3.0 (PFKMIXM). I am not sure if its the Global or the EEA Version (?) How can I see?
I did not yet get an option to update to MIUI11 unlike many others either. I did unlock my bootloader.
What steps in which order do I have to take to get LOS17? I also want to have root and TWRP.
Can someone guide me through this step by step? Would really appreciate.
The "instructions" in the LOS17 thread are pretty minimal and not very detailed.

The ROM is global, so I assume the phone is too. In PFKMIXM look at characters 4 & 5. MI = global. For EEA these would be EU (CN = China, IN = India).
I don't think MIUI 11 has been released for the global ROM. AFAIK this week was only the European ROM that got updated to 11.
To install LOS you would need to install MIUI 11 firmware & vendor first (these can be flashed on there own or you could install a fastboot MIUI 11 ROM)
The LOS 17 OP recommends keeping these as the original region of the phone. In this case you will need to wait until global MIUI 11 arrives.
However, you would, in all probability, have no issues if you went with European MIUI 11 ROM/firmware instead.
The decision is yours, if you want to keep things 'proper' then wait for global MIUI 11 before proceeding. If you're happy to go with EU firmware then we can give you an overview of the process.

Thanks for the reply, very helpful.
Is there any information when MIUI 11 will be released for the global version?
Also can I already install TWRP? That should not have any effect on the ROM flashing process, right?
If so, how do I do this correctly for my current configuration?

I've not heard anything about the global release, but as someone that doesn't use MIUI I don't go looking for information, so there could be some info around. Apparently there's no noticeable difference between EU and global versions for this phone, so now the EU version is released I don't think it would be too long for the global version to appear, but that's pure guesswork.
You can install TWRP now, it requires adb and fastboot. If you don't have these on your PC then search the xda forums for 'minimal adb'. The official post will give you all the details. Ordinarily whenever you boot MIUI ithe system checks the integrity of the recovery partition and, if it has changed, it will restore stock recovery. Therefore immediately after installing TWRP you'll need to install Magisk, which will then automatically protect the TWRP installation.
Copy your Magisk installation file onto the phone
Boot the phone into fastboot mode and connect to the PC.
To make life easier, copy the TWRP image file to the same folder that has adb and fastboot and rename the file as TWRP.img
Open command prompt and navigate to the adb/fastboot installation folder.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
If you're using PowerShell then you'll need to qualify the location of fastboot and TWRP
Code:
.\fastboot flash recovery .\TWRP.img
When that's finished and still in fastboot mode.
Press and hold the vol+ and power buttons.
Keep holding both until the phone vibrates and the initial splash screen appears.
Release the power button, but keep holding vol+ for a second or 2.
You should now have booted into TWRP if everything went OK.
Go to install and select the Magisk installation file on the phone.
Confirm the selection.
Once that's finished you can reboot the phone.
If all's OK you should now have TWRP and Magisk installed.

Alright. Thanks for the instructions, I will try this.
Just to make sure: Is this the correct TWRP image: TWRP 3.3.1-22 Unofficial by mauronofrio ?
Where can I find the correct magisk files for my device? Do I need magisk or magisk manager?
Would be sick if you could link me the correct ones
Cheers

EDIT: JUST READ THAT THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH MAGISK 20.1 AND MIUI 11.
DOWNLOAD MAGISK 19.4
That is the correct TWRP.
Only ever get Magisk from here
https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk
There are no device specific versions, just one size fits all. Download the latest 20.1 Magisk installer zip to flash in TWRP. It will install Magisk and Magisk manager at the same time. Also download the uninstaller zip at the same time, just in case. If, for any reason, you need to uninstall then it's there ready.
If you need to know more about Magisk, follow the link on github to the xda official thread, it has very good information.

Thanks for this! Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but last time I tried to root my OP7T, months ago, my wifi broke and I had to hard reboot. Is that still a possibility with this?

Make sure you flash the right boot for your model number.
Settings>About phone>Build number should end HD01BA or HD01AA so make sure it's the right one.
If you want to test that your Wi-Fi works with one of the boot images.
Instead of 'fastboot flash boot patched_file_name.img' do 'fastboot boot patched_file_name.img'
I have the same problem with wifi and network issue, only have data network 4g.
I'm flashing the right boot for my model, also i dump the OTA zip, dumpped the boot.img tried patching on magisk and flash and i got the same wifi and mobile network issue.
Mu Model is HD01BA.
Any one have the same issue?
Thanks
=== EDIT ===
After this i tried flash the original boot.img and the problem doesn't have solved, i need reflash all the system again

I unlocked my OP 7t pro's bootloader, and every time there is an update I download the stuff mirrored by digidude512 ... I grab the magisk patched boot and the updated system pack.
I go to updates, update manually with having the update pack in the root of the storage.
When the update is done, I do not restart using the update reboot button - I use the boot to bootloader option at the power button menu (which can be enabled at the dev settings).
Then going to fastboot directly I flash the patched boot image using fastboot on windows cmd: fastboot flash boot boot_blabla.img --slot all
Reboot, go to magisk manager, update magisk using recommended direct install. Update magisk manager. Done.
Never had any problem (no wifi f*ery, nothing) and there is no need for TWRP at all. Open bootloader, magisk root and modules, adaway, stock ROM. Decent and clean.
Thanks a lot @digidude512 once again for this. Pretty convenient for others this way.

If you're rooting for the first time, use fastboot boot patched_boot.img and perform a direct install from within Magisk Manager to avoid potential headaches.
If you are doing an OTA update and want to retain root, you should not be fastboot flashing anything (you're not following the right guide).

Question [Solved] Mobile won't boot anymore ! :/

Hi guys, i just flashed (with a light wipe) the last rom for my Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra (obtained on the update section of parameters) and i first lost all my config.
So, i decided to restore the backup i made just before flashing and here is the drama, it boot directly into TWRP and i can't seem to find my storage anymore (tried file manager)
TWRP also tells me that no OS is installed, please help, i'm desperate
I think the first step is to recover access to internal sdcard, and maybe then i can restore a backup
Thank you !
simply, Fastboot and install official rom using mi flash tool.
thats one of the penalties you'd pay of installing eu rom.

Thank you very much, sir !
Will try this and post the result, maybe with a little tuto if it's not already everywhere ^^
So, tried 5 times and not once a good result, the better i can obtain is 12.5.7.0 global working, flashed with xiaomitool. TWRP ok, and i will try Magisk next.
Every other tries solded by an sdcard/os/data loss T_T
That's a mystery. I ran on 12.5.17.0 all fine before this incident and i cannot get it work anymore :/

I can't seem to find a more recent global version (updater within settings tells me there's no more up to date version).

2. launch xiaomitool and flash 12.5.7.0 global rom
3. reboot into fastboot
4. launch xiaomi unlock and unlock device
5. boot TWRP with fastboot boot twrp.img in cmd (command returned all ok)
6. into "soft" TWRP, One Key Inject TWRP
7. into "hard" TWRP > install and give it the .zip rom file
8. after the rom installed, all broken again :/
Hi,
there is no TWRP-ROM available for the Ultra - it's still in fastboot-ROM phase.
Flash via fastboot. Unlocking is just needed once until relocking with orig. ROM.
(Optionally) Copy boot.img from ROM-folder to phone.
Use Magisk to patch boot.img
Flash patched boot.img to boot_a and boot_b via fastboot.
Wait until TWRP-compatible-zip's for the Ultra to begin to appear.

That sure seem a simple task
You're telling me that i can, from my 12.5.7.0 global, patch the boot.img (90mb) from the 12.5.20.0 eu with magisk, flash this with fastboot and that it will work ?
Seems too wonderfull to be true XD
EDIT:
My bad, you said "optionnally", not "alternatively"
So, i'm stuck here, i don't know and can't seem to find the fastboot cmd to install the xiaomi eu rom in .zip format
Do you know it please ?
In all the 11 Ultra A12 weekly EU ROMs, the format is fastboot only. Just extract the .zip file to a folder on your desktop, connect your phone in fastboot mode, power on and vol down and then click on the update bat file. If your coming from a different branch, click on the update and format bat file ( the bat files will be in the upper most extracted folder). It is a simple as that .

Just extract the .zip file to a folder on your desktop, connect your phone in fastboot mode, power on and vol down and then click on the update bat file. If your coming from a different branch, click on the update and format bat file ( the bat files will be in the upper most extracted folder). It is a simple as that .

Question Problems to root cn version 13.0.5 android 12

Hi, i'm trying to root my CN version 13.0.5 without the twrp, I'm using the magisk to patch the boot file, but after patch and use the command "fastboot flash boot boot.img, the mi 11 ultra just stuck in the mi logo. I'm not been able to root my phone, right now, how to root the CN version 13.0.5?
i did the same root with the android 11 and worked, something change?
hi, did you install magisk canary and not magisk stable?
I have just Root Xiaomi.eu A12 Miui13 with the same method and it work.
Hi. FIrst - better to use Magisk 23.0 - as you will still have Magisk hide. But more important - just the "fastboot boot boot.img" command instead. Once you have booted without issues you can go into Magisk and patch the real boot image file from there and restart. This is how it always worked for me. Not really sure what is the big difference there but as I said - that worked for me.
When you are running the miui 13, copy the boot.img from fastboot folder to your phone(remember the location). Open magisk app, choose install and search for boot.img on your phone. After patching is done, copy the patched file into your fastboot folder on pc. Boot into fastboot, type fastboot flash boot (and drag the patched file from fastboot folder here) and hit enter. after flashing fastboot reboot
Thanks for the help, i'll try to patchin a few hours and back here to give the feedback!

It does not format. That's just for root. You can flash the rom in fastboot again or flash the boot.img again from the folder images

Great, It also worked for me Xiaomi.eu 13.0.9.0.
I have difficulties too rooting my Mi 11 Ultra with Android 12. I have installed the latest canary of Magisk and when I patch the boot.img and flash it the device stucks on Android logo. When I boot the device with fastboot boot magisk_patched***.img I'll get a black screen.
Can anybody post a patched boot.img from Xiaomi.eu 13.0.9.0 Rom? Perhaps it works when I flash this one on my device.

i just lost my root without reason, i just restarted my phone, than no root anymore and not being able to installing again ;D. what a hell
Start from the beginning by flashing unpatched boot.img and use Magisk v23. V24 has nothing but problems. I was frustrated for a few hours with it and going back to v23 solved everything.

Question MIUI 14 and Magisk Modules...

I flashed MIUI 14 from TWRP and it's working fine. The problem is that none of the Magisk modules are loading after a reboot.
I tried both Magisk 25.2 and Magisk Canary (v831a398b 25206). Still unable to load the modules. Anyone got it working?
HI
is the flashed MIUI 14 the chinese version ?

There is not and never will be a CN rom for this device.
Did you download the recovery rom and flash that? (That's what I did)
After I flashed that recovery rom my magisk didn't work anymore as expected since the boot partition gets overwritten.
So what you do is that you download the "Payload Dumper" python program, I used this one:
GitHub - vm03/payload_dumper: Android OTA payload dumper
Android OTA payload dumper. Contribute to vm03/payload_dumper development by creating an account on GitHub.
github.com
With python installed you open a terminal and navigate to the downloaded payload dumper you type in this command:
Code:
python payload_dumper.py payload.bin
After a while it errors out (atleast it did for me) but there should be an output folder with a nicely extracted boot.img file!
Copy that file to your phone and use magisk to patch it, then transfer it back to your computer and flash it with fastboot with the usual:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
After that my magisk worked perfectly again

You don't need to do all that. Just flash Magisk_25.2.zip in TWRP and you get root. As simple as that!
My problem was that the Pixelify module was causing bootloop and once I removed that module, all my other magisk modules worked fine.
Hmm that's weird, maybe my zipfile was corrupt or anything because just reflashing it through TWRP didn't do it for me. But yeah if that works then it's significantly simpler
Do you have a link to the MIUI 14 Rom?

Of course, flashing Magisk zip in TWRP works as it's a time tested strategy and have been doing this forever.

You can use the A12 to flash the A13, since the system is in A12. No need for TWRP to root or install mods.
Hello
Is this module safe to install?
How to get iOS like animations and recent menu in MIUI - xiaomiui
Xiaomi's MIUI is already pretty similar compared with iOS. But the thing is the company has been removing animations from some of its budget smartphones like
