As you already know realme 8 is a fantastic device with great hardware capabilities but still no custom rom development till date reason being realme hasn't made public realme 8 kernal source and official bootloader unlock tool. So the only solution we have is to follow the steps below:
Disclaimer: I request every realme 8 user to follow these steps(ofcourse only before realme don't actually do anything on this matter) no matter when you read this thread.
Step 1: Go to twitter and Search Madhavsheth1 (vice president realme india) OR realmeindia.
Step 2: comment and quote their recent 4-5 tweets with exactly this: (copy it from here) "Hi, there Why no official bootloader unlock tool for realme 8(4G edition) + kernal source code also hasn't made public till now. Almost a year has pass since it's launch. @[email protected] #toolforrealme8 "
The more people follow these steps the quicker we can see some fantastic custom roms for our beloved device Realme 8.

Hello there fellow android enthusiasts.
There's this device that I've owned ever since last September and I'm loving my mi 9t pro
But I'm running into some troubles. I would like to unlock the bootloader of this device but it's been hell of an impossible thing to achieve.
Ever since the first week when I bought it I tried to unlock it but the mi unlock apo throws some random message in Chinese which I unfortunately cannot seem to read or understand or whatever.
I gave up a while ago because I thought sure it's a new phone and I just need to give it some time and it'll be good to go
But here I am again now after all of those months and I still can't seem to unlock this thing..
Yes my account has been bound and tied to this phone ever since day 1 of the purchase and had a mobile number set to it. Everything the usb debugging OEM unlocked mi account status association and whatnot is set up
I put my phone into the fastboot mode plug into my laptop launch the mi unlock tool and get this error at 99% can someone please help me or translate this for me

By the way the mi unlock page isn't working either. As soon as I click on the blue unlock now button it redirects me to the miui Chinese community.

I remember other users reporting the same problem in the early days of this phone. I'm sure I remember someone also posted a translation of the error message and how to fix it. Unfortunately I can't remember any details, but you could have a hunt for threads from around June/July last year.
All I can give is general advice.
Make sure you use the latest unlock tool found here

If that falls try some of the older versions found in the same page above.
Make sure all the USB drivers are properly installed on the PC.
Try using a different, good quality USB cable.
Try using a different USB port on the PC.
If possible try unlocking on a different PC.
Create a new Mi account and try using the new account to unlock.

A user known as Mohit unlocked his device 4 times. Using different methods.
He claims the newer versions of mi-unlock tool don't work, and someone pointed out I haven't added the adb 15sec installer in my guide (I'll look into this later.)

Hi everyone, I just get a Xiaomi Redmi 9 (lancelot, that is what I think) with MUIU 12 and now I have to wait 7 days to unlock the bootloader. It is a GREAT phone.
Now I have some questions:
Is there a TWRP recovery for MIUI 12? Where I can get it? Does it work well?.
I read about a vendor 12, "OSS system". What are these terms?.
Can I install GSI? Is easy to install?.

Orangefox is better than twrp and is based of it. Basically the same with more features.
Also make sure your phone is Redmi 9 Lancelot because that recovery is for that.

What you need is patience, a PC, Type C cable, and obviously your Realme 8 smartphone.

Bro once you unlock the bootloader in realme ui3 you have to downgrade to realme ui2 because no twrp is available to rmx3085 realme UI 3

This has been answered before. If I am not mistaken you should enter fastboot and then run "fastboot getvar product". As for the "need help" part, I would suggest that you wait a few months since development is in the early stages as of now and can be confusing. Wait for better software and guides to pop up.
Edit: this is the command, granted you know about fastboot /adb. There is another thread, go and look this stuff up.
2nd edit: on your 2nd screenshot, you can see the answer. However, in your first screenshot it says snapdragon 665 which is definitely wrong (same thing on my phone too although I apparently have spesn). As I said previously, wait a bit more to go custom rom especially if you are not 100% sure of what you are doing. It's been the first time since 2012 I have used a stock phone, but I will wait a bit more since custom roms get better day by day. Also easier to work with.

Your device is Spes, and is indeed compatible with the ROM. Go to the official website to get the latest build for Spes.
