Samsung s20 fe 5g is it rootable and is the firmware stable? - Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Questions & Answers

I'm trying to figure out how to root a Samsung s20 fe 5g and need a tutorial on how to do so.!! Please help? I'm new to this!

two choices, either go to the roms kernels and recoveries section and install TWRP then flash magisk in TWRP. read thru at least half the TWRP thread first. it'll help you out in learning from other people's experience. if not that then google ''topjohnwu github magisk instructions.'' there are at least 4 or 5 threads here discussing magisk too.

[Q] Advice for a New N9600 owner

Hello people as the title states I recently purchased a note 9. I wanted to get the N960F model but when it arrived, to my surprise it was a N9600, which is no problem for me because snapdragon is a good thing, the only downside is the fewer development.
Anyhow I have some. Questions and I would like to hear your recommendations As I'm waiting the 7 days for the OEM unlock to appear.
1. Should I update the system? My n9 came with Android 8.1.0,but I don't know if I update it would be detrimental for the sake of rooting
2. Is this model rootable? I believe so but could you direct me to the thread on that regard.
3. Would you recommended self de bloating with TB or try WETA Rom?
4. What would you suggest: stay on stock + root or WETA Rom?
5. I've seen a lot of pie complains so should I stay on Oreo or give Pie a try? I come from the OnePlus3, I'm a former flashoholic XD and 'til my last moments with the OP3 I had HavocOS which was pie based, thus I'm hesitant to look back to Oreo.
6. This should be 1st but anyway do I need to unlock the bootloader or something special before rooting and installing twrp?
7. I've read that development for the SD version is difficult and that AOSP Roms are stuck because of gpu frequencies and other stuff, but do you think that this version will receive some. More loving from the development department in the future?
Thanks in advance guys and I appreciate your time in reading and for any suggestions you may give.
yes
Just like exynos, the bootloader is unlocked and you can always root it, version does not matter, pie , oreo. and yes you can also run all the GSIs on the phone cause its a Treble enabled device which helps a lot with roms and i think there will be much more roms for n9600 as well as soon as it ages a bit and people start rooting them. You could install WETA ROM or any other ROM / Kernel, Rooting is same as Exynos model except the TWRP has to be for Snapdragon

Thanks mate, in terms of rooting, should I use official magisk of a custom one?
On the twrp thread for the SD variant people mention the official. They just recommend versions 18.1 for Oreo and 19 for pie, is that alright?
And if I update my firmware and software over Ota before rotring and installing twrp, will it be a problem?

General EXYNOS S21 series - TWRP and root

As some of you know s21 source is out, it is possible to build custom recovery and obtain root.
Actually ordinary magisk root method is not working for us: patched boot image does not boot...no old method is working.
I asked a skilled developer, @afaneh92 (he already made custom twrp for galaxy phones in past) to help us but at present he does not have the phone so what he builds is actually tested just by me.
WHAT WE NEED
- many alpha tester (if many people help us we can test things almost intanctaneily)
- some good ideas from other skilled developers
- someone who can make a "BOUNTY" so we can encourage development
I have made a telegram group forstarting this adventure and to share real time our progresses.

devs and testers u are welcome!
Work in progress...
Nobody knows how to make a bounty?
Nobody interested?
Im interested just not sure how to help...ive tried everything on sm-996B.. have joined the chat..
any progress?

Question TWRP for SM M32?

I cant find any twrp for the m32... any idea where i can find?
No one even talking about this phone ?!! I'm wondering
The phone is not bad it is great but It has no support at all that makes me crazy
1. It's a pretty new phone and has the latest updates, so theres isn't a big demand for TWRP, root or custom roms right now.
2 The A32 is basically the same phone but a lot prettier, so the userbase an therefore support goes all there.
3. It has a Mediatek CPU, if I'm not outdated on my knowledge, they don't make it easy for progammers by not providing any documentation.
I think that we're only going to get Custom stuff a year from now and those will be mostly ports from A32, and don't expect much.
Guys got unofficial twrp. Please check. Also join Samsung m32 group on telegram.

I would like to thank TeamWin for their amazing work! I saw that the newer Samsung MediaTek phones were not getting any sort of love, so I bought one myself to kick start the development. TWRP is the obvious choice as it is reliable and...

note 8 snapdragon lineage os help

its been a few years since i modded a phone. i recently got my hands on a used samsung galaxy note 8 {factory unlocked/no carrier} with a snapdragon processor.
model # SM-N950U1
Im searching around this forum but most of the info is for exynos processors.
i need to unlock the bootloader and root so that i can install
LineageOS 19.1.how can i do this?
The snapdragon version is called the "greatqlte". You can root it via twrp, but I'm not sure about custom rom support, and definitely not lineage19.1.
The snapdragon version has basically no support on xda. Someone posted a question similar to yours a while back.
too bad , its still a good phone, whats the highest version of android i can install ?
I don't think there are any roms.. I think I saw an oreo one, but you're probably better off sticking to oneui on android 9, which is stable (unlike the oreo build).
You can still root and debloat/customise your phone via magisk modules etc.

Request helping with understanding the custom ROMs for Note 9 (SM-N960U)

Hey XDA Forums, first time poster but long time reader & custom ROM fan.
A friend gave me an old Note 9 w/ the SnapDragon 845 SoC. Its screen is busted so it's getting serviced under Samsung's $50 program right now. When it gets back I'd like to install a custom ROM on it but I've been lead to believe that working around/through Samsung+Qualcomm devices is generally much more difficult than other phones. My experience is rooting, flashing, and installing Lineage OS or Pixel Experience ROM on some other devices: Pixels, a Xiaomi Mi A1, and two Exynos Galaxy phones (one A5, one M20). All of these devices have very clear, straight forward How Tos by the respective groups that maintain those projects. I had a BLU phone w/ a MediaTek SoC that I bricked because I was just fumbling my way through trying to flash it from some random forums out there.
So, for this Note 9 I'd like to make sure I have the general order of operations correct and what ROM projects (if any) are out there.
1) Make sure phone is updated to Android 10
2) Install TWRP
3) Download ODM.
4) After wipe & factory reset install ODM.
5) Install custom ROM.
If the above is correct, are my only options for reliable ROMs the ones listed in the Note 9 Snapdragon ROMs/Kernels forum? https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/samsung-galaxy-note-9-snapdragon-roms-kernels.8318/
Are there any good/trustworthy Samsung enthusiast forums (hopefully ROM-focused) that anyone is able to point me to?
Thanks a ton everyone, I appreciate your time.

There's a telegram group for S9/Note9 Snapdragon roms/kernels stuff. I can't find it now. I'll share when I found it.
